Felix raised a hand to his brow, glancing up at the blistering sun above... hot.. it was very hot.. and he was sweating.. but that was a good sign at least.. meant he still had a bit of water in his system.
He had learned this from a book somewhere no doubt... and few people read books anymore..
He reached up, popping a small pebble into his mouth. This would keep him from getting too thirsty for the time being.
"...Are we there yet..."
Sandshrew glared back, scolding him like a little kid in the backseat.
"..Sand.. shrew."
It pointed a claw in mock menace toward the boy... if he asked that.. one.. more.. tiiime.

The move would ease his travels just a bit ....as he passed the halfway point of the desert. His movements being him closer and closer to the desert edge and perhaps something new.

[5/10] [Sorry, I am going to have to do a slight take over of your sandshrew for a moment]
But then ...something would occur to her ....as she would smile lightly and then take a sharp move to the right. It would only be a slight detour, but she knew a place that would maybe make the annoying boy shut up for a moment as she would take him to an Oasis.
Here, there was sparkling cool water, and little bits of grass. This was the home away from home for those pokemon that did decide to travel during the day, and needed a place to rest.
For here, there was inactive ....a no fight rule. No pokemon could draw blood here, for that was the law of the this Oasis as she would motion for Felix to come nearer to it.

Only to trip on a stone buried in the sand and fall flat on his face! Thinking he heard something however, he stayed low to the ground...

Though that stone was no rock, and what followed afterwards was the long purple body of a Ekans. A pokemon that enjoyed the heat of the desert ...it had no problem with it at all ...as it hisses threatening at him.
There was to be no going forwards now.
The pokemon was more than ready for a fight ...as it hisses out quite angrily.

Felix sped up curiously to keep pace with the suddenly perked little sandshrew... something had drawn her interest and there was a reason she was headed that way he was sure... So he followed her, smiling a little at the sight of the little oasis in the middle of the dessert.. the vegetation providing a slightly cooler atmosphere to the area.
He rushed quickly forward after the little sandshrew, "..Good job guide!" he smiled down at her, leaning down a bit to stroke her head again before moving to the water.
Guide.. hmm... perhaps he should name her that? ...it seemed to fit, and was as good a name he could think of... no, he had it!
"..Scout." He nodded, sitting at the edge of the water and looking into it thirstily... before cupping a little and drinking it with his hands.
He pulled back his pant leg a little and took off his shoe, putting some water over it to clean his wound... it would be fine now... just hurt a bit more.. but the bone seemed intact.
"...Come on out guys and rest a little."
Felix tossed his other pokeballs, letting Horsea and Trapinch out.
...Trapinch was watched carefully by Scout who ran about keeping them out of trouble and watching the area, almost like baby sitting a bunch of little kids.
Felix called Trapinch over and looked over its injuries, cleaning them in the cool water.

The Sandshrew huffed a bit. She didn't want to get petted here especially, but she made no complaints either as the others were release and she took on the job of guard. What she really wanted to do was deep her injury in the water a swell, but for no she watches the Trapinch with deeply suspicious eyes.
The fresh water would sizzle a bit on his skin ...a Trapinch wasn't friendly with water on the best of occasions, but, in this case ....it would have a secondary effect as the Trapinch's wounds were instantly healed. It would seem that this Oasis was more than it seemed to be ...as Felix would not gain anything from dipping his leg in the water other than the fact that the wound was much cleaner now.
[Trapinch restored to full health, and please roll the dice.]

"..Huh.." Felix watched in amazement as the Trapinch's wounds sizzled over and healed while the pokemon struggled away from it... squirming about in the shrubbery after finally getting away and ridding itself of the terrible watery feel in the sand.
Felix raised an eyebrow and called scout over, letting her know to cool her own arm in the water, where she had been bitten in battle.
"...Check that out." he motioned to horsea, who dove into the water enthusiastically... for a swim if nothing else.. but he searched about underwater regardless.
Felix watched about carefully... this was an oasis in the desert.. there were sure to be other pokemon frequenting the spot... they might not come across any though.. and he was not sure which he preferred.

Startled by the sudden arrival of a Pokemon, Evan quickly scrambled to his feet and jumped towards his vest and shirt, digging a pokeball out. Tossing it at the ground, he released Moony and called for him to defend while he got dressed.

The Sandshrew was almost relieved when she got rid of her injuries. Her eyes watching the movements of the Trapinch even from the water as the horse dove deeply and vanished into the oasis. Both of their injuries vanish just as quickly as the horse did. They would feel no pain .....and as Horsea would dive deep ...he would discover that there was nothing to fear in the depths. Everything seemed utterly peaceful here.

The Ekans watches it all as the human seemed to be picking up his sheded skins. It was really something odd to have to watch ...as her tail would rattle loudly just before her first strike ....as she moves quickly to try and wrap up the strange dark dragon.
