Now, with his full attention turned, he faced the golden eyed child. " If you insist... I can entertain you for now." Takumi's dark red eyes fixated on the golden eyed one. Raising his hand and motioning towards himself he called out. " You're the challenger, lets have it."

He replied, making it clear that he wanted this fight for sure now. Shigeo was a pretty cocky, overconfident ******** too. So much so that he didn't even care for the scheming and over-complicated tactics that shinobi used, usually. Shigeo just started marching right up toward Takumi, fists clenched with pretty much nothing to hide, "The name's Shigeo Yomorai, an' I'm gonna have fun clockin' ya." No bullshit, he was intent on walking right up to Takumi and opening with a heavy-handed jab aimed squarely for the blond's face.

Belamos ignored Shigeo and Takumi's exchange entire, only finally taking notice when they agreed to fight. The Sound's King disappeared in a cloud of fire, reappearing on top of a cliff. He looked down upon the two with his arms crossed, paying close attention to what each were capable of. Should prove to be an interesting bout...

__ Kazama arrived to the main gates and stood from the top looking down. He noticed Shigeo move in to punch some blondie. Nezumi began cheering him on with enthusiasm. "Get 'em Shigeo! Rob 'em blind!" He assumed this was a simple mugging of some perfume ponce trying to get in through the gates. As he spectated he wanted to do some training.

Takumi watched carefully as he removed his hand from his pocket. His direct approach, a right hand poised to attack would be quickly noted. Takumi would focus his chakra into his own right hand as he held it directly square in front of his chest in a knife hand fashion. As the young Kozo would deliver his jab at Takumi's face he would find his hand redirected to his right arm outward, opening his chest to an attack by what would almost seem as an unknown force if it were not for the hand motion that Takumi had made, as though parrying with a sword. In fact, his Chakra Scalpel Technique was capable of extending to a similar size as a Katana, giving an almost invisible defense against the fist. The swift parry would be followed by an attack with the blade across the chest that, if not dodged would simply scrape against another unseen force. Kozo's armor.
Takumi's eyes would widen as he quickly back peddled, placing another fifteen feet between them. Realizing something was wrong. His chakra scalpel was assured to cleave flesh with ease...but this...this was a defense unseen. Something that resisted his chakra scalpel was something indeed. " Interesting." Takumi murmured as he attempted to analyze the boy in hopes of finding the technique he utilized. His mind went back to his father's findings in the Kirigakure laboratory beneath the village. Something...something was familiar here to that. If this boy had a power his father had been researching then it was not something to be taken lightly. " Takumi Saegahara." He said calmly, realizing he owed an introduction. He watched the boy, analyzing his ability in hopes to make a swift take down.
__ Honestly, he didn't care that such a whimsical attack was deflected. He didn't really know how it happened, though. What he did know was that something sharp attempted to scathe him, but was completely blocked by the protective layer coating his flesh. Shigeo glanced down at his chest, hearing but not immediately responding to Kazama's cheering. There was a rather clean tear in his shirt where the invisible attack touched. His golden gate raised up toward Takumi who gave an actual introduction. "Hmph. Why the ******** are ya running away?" His right hand fell boredly back to his side then he looked up to where Belamos went to spectate, "You're next, Sunshine." Shigeo turned an apathetic glare back to Takumi who was too busy overanalyzing to take advantage of his easygoingness.
He'd smirk again then say, "If y'all are gods, then I'm definitely a demon." His hands fell together to form a boar, rat, then snake hand seal. The the area for several feet around Takumi would suddenly crystallize near-instantly, threatening to not only encase the God Of Death but also change every molecule of his body that wasn't effectively protected by chakra. Shigeo wanted to punch his guy, but he hated dealing with evasive, sneaky, thinking sorts. No point in risking anything unnecessarily. At least Takumi wouldn't have to worry about being murdered in broad daylight, as Kozo was infamous in the Land of Iron for doing. If he were caught, he'd soon after be released and life would go on.

The boy looked down at his shirt, he seemed to pick up on the method of attack. His golden eyes raised to Takumi, forcing his own brow to lower in focus. His demeanor was less sarcastic as he spoke of gods and demons. Takumi knew he would need to move, no time to dally. As the boy's hands formed a string of hand signs, Takumi would poof, leaving a nearby log crystalized in his place as he landed roughly ten feet from Kozo on the opposite side of him this time. As he landed he held the tiger hand seal, sending a thick frost over the area, blanketing their vision. Now, Kozo would be blinded to Takumi's movements.
Using this opportunit, Takumi would fold his hands together. This was it. This was the perfect moment to use his forbidden arts. Not that he wished to reveal, but it was oppertune to have his audience blinded by his frost while he used such a frowned upon method. Chakra began to flow through the ground as his hands which were previously folded had molded the tiger, boar, ram, and dog seals, then planting his hands on the ground. Now, from the earth, a new opposition would arise. Beneath Kozo, several limbs burst out, their sharp bone finger tips clawing at his figure to drag him down to the ground, subduing him. The arms covered him, masking his form from the rest of the world. Each arm was somewhat different. Some were composed entirely of skeletal limbs, other were rotted flesh that still clung to the bone like a tender cut of rib. The rest were freshly rotting, ripe with a pungent odor. This was Takumi's specialty, command over the after life. While he was relatively new to this new art he had been developing, he was leagues ahead of what his father's research had lead him to.

His chakra imbues the corpses below the earth with chakra to animate their limbs for a short time. From the earth, one dozen skeletal and decomposed limbs rise, binding their target. To break from the grip of the binding method, one must have a body rank higher than the chakra level utilized in the technique or a moderate descriptive rank above the level of the technique.
__"Wh- oh, yeah..." For a moment, Shigeo was surprised that this guy managed to vanish and leave some log behind in his place. However, he remembered learning about that substitution technique during the year he spent here. Surprisingly, the curriculum to become a ninja wasn't all that hard to master. Shigeo's attention shifted to his rear where he heard Takumi land. Nonchalantly, he turned to face his evasive opponent again as a frosty mist filled the area. In seconds he'd have no vision of his enemy at all. Still, he had nothing to fear, and would stand his ground like a real man should. The ground trembled around him and through several decayed or rotted limbs would reach out to latch onto him from all sides through the mist. Now, this certainly was the most morbid and unexpected thing to happen at this moment.
However, it was far from concerning. This guy, Takumi, clearly didn't know anything about Shigeo's powers. If he did, then he'd know that tactics like this were meaningless. It was time for a lesson. The core power of Shoton chakra welled up throughout Shigeo's body as he formed a one-handed tiger seal with his left hand. The very instant that the undead appendages touched him, unable to pierce his armor, that chakra surged outward as an invisible wave. He muttered under his breath, "Crystal Counter." A second after the wave reached out to its full range of eighty feet in all directions from him, the dead limbs, the mist, and anyone and everything else caught in its range would become crystallized in a snap. Of course, it would only affect things weaker than itself, but Shigeo actually put as much power into it as he could this time around. Takumi would have to retreat pretty damn far this time around to escape his own mist not trapping him within itself. If he did that, Shigeo would just deem himself a winner over such a coward anyway.
On the other hand, Shigeo himself was technically trapped too, or was he? Actually, no, he wasn't. Like water, but without the need of swimming, Shigeo would rise to the top of the large crystal construct he'd created and stand upon it. The foggy, vision-limiting effect was had been replaced with a crystal clear presence. Takumi would be plainly visible in his crystal prison below where Shigeo stood on high; his body specifically wouldn't be crystallized by this technique, but everything he wore and was armed with was another story. The ability to "move through their own crystals" was innate to all who bared this rare but legendary power. "I think I'll have to learn a technique like this to set that up again on my own... heh heh." It would be incredibly useful to just create massive traps like these on the fly, and it probably wouldn't be all that strenuous to perform either.

As Takumi watched his undead minions wrap the crystal user up, he would hear a word...maybe a phrase murmured. As it escaped his lips a sudden hardening noise crackled outward. Placing his hands downward, he would blast a blast of wind to the ground, propelling him skyward. As he ascended he would get a full view of the area. His entire mist had become a giant crystal. Any natural structure had become crystalized as well, infact. Everything was a magnificent clear crystal form now.
' He still has to breathe, right?' he thought. This meant either his mouth or his nostrils were exposed to the armor from earlier. That was it. Using his hands to redirect the wind behind him, he jetted towards Kozo, spinning into a spiraling effect to apparently deliver a powerful ax kick on to his skull. Takumi was betting on the boy's confidence in his armor like he had when he took the chakra scalpel with no damage. Just as he would impact, he would release the wind from a single hand, grasping something and holding it to his wind blasting hand.
It was a fine powder that had mixed with the wind chakra, forcing the handful of the powder to spread thinly about the air around Kozo. With him still drawing breath, he was going to be unwittingly inhaling the powder. As it spread, Takumi would use a third activation of the propelling winds to blast himself back and away from Kozo, hovering just above the ground. Kozo wouldn't notice most likely, not yet at least. The poison didn't have any real effects for almost an entire day or even two. Kozo noticing it might save his life if it were inhaled, submitting would earn him medical attention by Takumi, otherwise...it would be a quick, expecting death.

__ Shigeo's moment of inspiration was soured as the reflection of Takumi's skyward position was noticed. 'So damn annoying!' Another one-handed seal would suddenly amplify the refractive power of the crystal many-fold. This caused the massive crystal structure to illuminate all around it to a blinding degree. Takumi would most likely lose sight of Shigeo during his descent. During which time a pair of kunai were thrown on an interceptive course. One was aimed for the blond's lower abdomen and the other for the guy's shoulder which was utilizing the propelling wind technique. Just before Takumi would get near, the entire crystal structure was then caused to detonate due to Shigeo's other hand's snapped fingers. The triggered Crystal Abundance technique would incite an explosion of crystal shrapnel in all directions, carrying the power used to make the crystal formation as well as a little from the crystallized mist as well. Of course, Kozo's armor negated any damage to himself, but anyone else who didn't protect themselves might have a different outcome to tell. Due to them being as sharp as diamonds, and sturdy as iron they threatened a fair deal of danger. Shigeo would lazily fall eighty feet back down to the ground while his eyesight eventually came back to him so he might see the aftermath of his shenanigans.

Takumi blasted towards his foe spinning head over toe. While he was effectively sommersaulting mid air towards Kozo he would take note of the illumination growing. To avoid further damaging his vision, he would remain backwards while descending. This would save his eyes from a majority of the blinding, leaving a white glare like effect fogging his vision but not totally blinding him. This however would leave his back wide open for the two kunai that would impact him, piercing his shoulder blade and mid section of his back. The knives would stick to their target, digging roughly an inch to two inches into flesh.
Just as the impact occurred, ice would begin to form from moisture in the air around Takumi's lower half and back. As it formed it would absorb the two kunai from his back into the ice as it was manipulated. The half sphere like ice creation was thick as most large ponds or small lakes. Takumi had used his masterful control of the ice release to shield himself and make a frozen chunk of meteor. As it descended, the thing would continue its trajectory...straight for Kozo as it fell. The crystal shards beneath the structure would gather at its bottom, cracking the structure but not shattering it. It held true as it plumeted to earth. As it would land upon Kozo, Takumi would leap from it, placing distance between the two once more. The ice half sphere would shatter as it crashed into him. Takumi slid backward, gaining a sturdy footing while examining the damage to the area. Every structure was damaged. Luckily civilan population was not involved. Takumi's eyes shifted back towards the boy's location. It was unlikely it killed him, let alone maimed him. He reached to his back, one hand over his head, placed just above the shoulder injury, the other around his side to his lower back. The two hands glowed faintly with chakra as the wounds caused by the Kunai were sealed shut as though they never existed. Surely Kozo was about to return. He awaited to see him rise. "Persistant..aren't you." He said after collecting himself, breathing normally once more. He was however, starting to feel somewhat fatigued. He had spent a large deal of chakra to keep the pace.

__ Shigeo figured that Kazama was wise enough to duck behind the cliff to avoid the crystal shrapnel, and the almighty Belamos could figure out a way to protect himself all the same. He watched the mass of ice form around Takumi and fall after him toward the ground. Shigeo just smirked at the sight of it, wondering if he should handle that simply or elaborately. Deciding to keep it simple after all, he just performed a timely back flip to land, causing a small impact crater to form around him and his armored form. He braced for the miniature ice meteor, focusing his Crystal Manipulation power into an intercepting punch to reinforce the sturdiness of his armor just before impact. The result was nothing short of the ice shattering and falling around him. Unflinching and his armor still unscathed, Shigeo shook off his fist as though he'd felt anything from the exchange.
His attention shifted over to Takumi who was busy licking his wounds and just smirked. "Ya sure ya don't wanna come over here so I can knock ya'out? I still gotta beat up the Sun God after this, y'know..." It wasn't that he was worried about overexerting himself. So far, he'd only had to put actual effort into one maneuver throughout this fight. However, Takumi looked like he was starting to get a little winded. Shigeo considered the mistake in letting his opponent regain their composure, but also felt confident that there was practically nothing to fear as long as he didn't underestimate a crafty fox like this. "C'mon man. Either give up or I'm gonna floor ya." Since he wasn't actually allowed to kill anyone here, Shigeo was really really reaaaally trying to restrain himself. Clearly Takumi was having a hard enough time keeping up as it was.

The fight was an interesting one, and for genin he had to admit they had both done remarkably well. In terms of battle prowess they were very evenly match; neither could seem to get a leg up on the other. While Shigeo had a high level of defense, his offensive potential was next to nothing. Even if he could manage to launch an attack Takumi could just heal it up. Meanwhile, Takumi's strengths were more towards large scale attacks and controlling the battlefield. His one on one potential was severely lacking, as Belamos hoped this battle showed him. Blocking the constant crystal attacks of the genin with his spear was beginning to bore him though, so when Shigeo stopped to converse after dodging one of Takumi's ice creations, Belamos moved
In an eruption of flames, he appeared between the two of them on the battlefield, spear in hand. He would extend his arms between the two of them, signaling them to halt "Enough!" His voice boomed across the area, carrying the weight of his royalty behind it "You have both proven your strength to me today. You have a long ways to go but neither of you are a hinderance to this village" Turning his head to look towards Takumi, he held the ghost of a grin on his face "You, my friend, have a lot of training that needs be done. Your time in the water has made you soft; it seems the Mist did you no favors in that regard"
Shifting his attention to Shigeo, he would begin to walk over to the boy until Belamos was standing immediately in front of him "You have warranted my attention, kid." Extending a hand, he would touch Shigeo's armor at his chest with his finger, feeling the texture and roughness of the hidden defense "Your skills are impressive, as is your defense" At this, Shigeo may begin to notice a slight...change to his armor. The point at which Belamos's finger was touching it had begun to glow slightly, now becoming visible with the appearance of a small red dot. Inside the armor, sweat would naturally begin to appear in response to the heat. "...but your over confidence is your weakness" Removing his finger, he would take a few steps backwards, cross his arms, and keep his gaze on the crystalline kiddo- simply waiting to see what would happen next.

As his foe deflected the impact with his fist, shaking it off as though it injured his knuckles Takumi found some sort amusement in it. A slight laugh escaped as he saw how easily it was diverted. It was aggravating. An emotion spurred in him that rarely stirred. Anger. While it would not surface, he felt its warmth beneath his icy exterior. He had little thought for the boy before him, even less for his ego. What irked him deeper still was his inability to overcome it.
As though responding to the flicker of heat within his soul, Belamos would come crashing down from his perch. The flames between the two genin echoed that quiet unseen moment of rage in his soul. Seeing it, and realizing the outside matched the inside, Takumi retracted his expansive anger and receded to a collected internal monologue. Belamos' commentary about Takumi's stay in the Mist Village was not inaccurate. His red eyes softened as an almost innocent chuckle escaped. " You...appear to be right old friend. Looks like I chose the wrong village to reside in."
He turned his attention back to Kozo as Belamos turned his finger from his armor and folded his arms. " Yomorai, Shigeo . Was it? Maybe next time." He took several steps to place himself towards the gate. " Belamos, you ready? There is still a lot of preparation to be done before our other friends arrive."

__ Shigeo, being one with his armor (inside and out), thanks to his Crystal Raigeki could feel a spike of heat in the one little spot that Belamos dared to touch him. Defiantly, the late teen smirked and glared back up at the Sun God. That little bit of heat was not to be ignored, however it was far from enough to reach him even through that thin layer of excessively reinforced shoton crystal. Even knowing that that much probably would've easily seared anyone else's flesh to the bone, it made him want to have a match with Belamos all the more. There was nothing he feared, and certainly nobody.
Stepping past Belamos, Shigeo would look to Takumi. "Thanks for the warmup... Takumi, right? I promise that I'll get even stronger before the next time we throw down. You bettah work extra hard if yer gonna survive 'round'ere." ******** hell did he hate this fake a** accent. Whatever though, it was part of his disguise. Shigeo had no idea what preparations these two fake gods were going on about, but now it'd come to this simple fact: before he challenged the Sun God, he had to make extra sure that he was ready to crush the Death God under foot- without even as much effort as he just used. Shigeo finished stepping around Belamos to look up to where Kazama was and yelled up to his friend, "Ooooi! Assuming ya survived that, meet me back at the academy. We're gonna train to be god-slayers~!" Shigeo waved up to Kazama then walked away, assuming that Belamos had nothing else to do with him either. "See'ya 'round, Sunny!" Another wave was made to his rear, at the blond and redhead as he departed back into the village. Otogakure better not have expected him to pay for any of this collateral damage. He sure as ******** didn't care enough about this place to bother with that s**t.
