You may want to edit your paragraph about trying to kick Jezebel's poleaxe out. Because the situation that you did is a very dangerous and bad idea.
Even if you manage to lift your legs to avoid the axe, bringing your legs down is dangerous, especially when having an axe near your butt. When you're lifting your legs up and bringing them down in a fast speed, you're shifting your body CLOSER to the object you're trying to avoid.
So not only did you kick Jezebel's axe away, but you've also injured yourself and created a v****a for yourself. >>;

Slight clarification, Isadora: He didn't lift his legs up to avoid the axe, he did so after the axe landed. How it missed, I'm not sure.

However, it still shows that he's going to get injured due to the momentum of the legs and the shifting of the body. The body weight don't stay still when the legs are lifted, before, during, or after the axe is brought down.

@Izzy: I explained my reasons as to why that wouldn't happen in the blast and I stand by them, I understand the physics behind what you're trying to explain though but I think you might not be understanding my wording of the post though.
Moot point anyway since I will be editing as someone pointed out something I didn't notice in the Jezebel thread

It's not the understand, it's the logic and realistic of how the situation is. It's impossible to have Jaren reach toward Jezebel's hands "as close as possible" without having the axe near his crotch due to the length of the poleaxe. In addition, when trying to "crash" the shaft, you need to put force into it in order to move. Therefore, bending the knees in order to create force. Having a stiff leg when being near the hands as close as possible will not put enough force to the axe than the leg being bent.
Just like you, I'm still standing on my terms. :/
