Hearing that comfortable, familiar voice, she turned quickly with excitement; hugging Jarlaxle as much as she could to show how much she's missed him. Rayne, then, blushed and backed away to create some space between them just in case and started to speak, "Of course I missed you." She looked up at the tree above them and curiously asked him, "Have you been watching me this whole time? Even when I was being dunked into the river by that villager?"

Rayne, then, blushed and backed away to create some space between them just in case and started to speak, "Of course I missed you." "Yes, I saw that. . .I had hoped to help, but other matters needed to be attended to, and you seemed to have control of the situation." He smiled again, and bowed to her. "Its good to see you alive and well, Rayne."

"Heh," She giggled softly and suddenly felt that good feeling now coming back to her(You know, the one where you just seem to know that everything is going to be alright and `the world is just as it should be`.) Happily, he ran over to one of the fruit trees and picked a couple for Jarlaxle and then hurried back. Lending out a citrus fruit in almost perfect condition, she offered towards Jarlaxle, "I don't know whether youve eaten or not but I'd like to give this fruit to you. J-just take it as a small welcome back gift from a friend." She smiled and waited.

Again, Jarlaxle smiled at her kindness, not used to such trustworthy-ness. He took the fruit from her, and took a nice bite from it. "Thank you, Rayne. .I would like to stay and chat, but unfortunatly I have some buisiness with Zero to attend to. ."

"Oh.... That's fine then." She sighed and looked up at the sky. "We'll see eachother again some time soon though, I know it. Maybe then, you wouldn't be so busy and we could go out and spend some time with eachother." She smiled and then looked back at him, with her hands to her side caressing the handle of Isis. "I might be able to show you a few tricks me and Isis made up together..." Then, slowly, she pulled out her dagger and rubbed her fingers along the side of the blade, her smile fading somewhat. "I can't thank you enough for this gift... and all the training that you've done for me to make me the stronger person that I've become." She then put her dagger back and sat on the ground looking at Jarlaxle, taking a bite from one of the fruits adjacent to her. "Oh well, then. Tell Zero I said 'Hi.' If you need anything, I'll be here to se what this place has for me."
((I don't mean for it to be so long. I just need to get back into the storyline, you know. In fact, it's not even long at all. o.o))

Jarlaxle was just about to leave, but had another thought. ". .'Tricks'?" He muttered to himself. He turned around, and looked her in the eye. "Say, Rayne. . .Have you been Training?" He knew what he was thinking was dangerous, and wanted to be sure that she'd be up to it before saying anything to her.

"Just a little bit." She lied. For the past few weeks she's been practicing a lot, hoping that one day she would be able to defend her own self. "It's been a while since I've really been at it. But, I've been doing pretty well on my throwing arm since we last saw eachother." Rayne looked Jarlaxle back in the eye and then realized that he was serious, but what for? "Why, though? What did you have in mind?"

He sighed. "Alright, Rayne. .Here's the deal. Right now, Zero is in danger. He's got some information that his Clan need, but he doesn't want to let them find out. .So they're attacking him. Now hopefully, we'll get matters solved diplomatically, but if worse comes to worse, it'll be a battle. .I plan on helping him out. If you think you're up to it, I could use all the help I could get."

Zero Tower, to be exact. .Hopefully we won't have to fight, but if it comes to that. . .Be ready. Don't let anyone but Zero know we intend to help him either. .There may be a mind-reader there so try to keep it out of your thoughts."

She giggled softly. "If people could read my mind they'd only see paradise made out of candy and a never ending sun shine." She meant that as a metaphor... Zero was a friend of hers and she wouldn't want to see any of her friends be hurt. "Who else is on our side Jarl?"
