Sora, who had been on Arete's head, had a clear view of the music and being Feather's summon, he knew the basics of reading music. {Don't worry,} he relayed just before focusing on the newcomer to use Read, {it's not that complicated. Kind of hard to be complicated when it's thought of on the fly,} and then he became absorbed with his skill.

While Sora did the job that Tsubasa was technically supposed to do, the girl politely took the piece of paper thrust at her and read through what was written. It was as her guardian as said, the music could easily be sightread. The only problem was, was it in the right key? After hearing Arete say that he would play after she had started, however, Feather decided to just play what was written. She assumed that the musician, who she had no knowledge of being famous despite his claims, probably was skilled enough to adjust to whatever key she was playing in. Taking out her harmonica, the wind instrument she always takes out first, the girl began to play the notes written on the paper, using one hand to hold out the paper in front of her so she could read it and using the other to maneuver her instrument. She phrased the notes as best as she could on her first try, taking advantage of the lack of any dynamics marked on the music to play the notes as she wanted.

You set me up against an S-rank summon gonk ?! And you called up a B-rank to boot?! Guh, Nai's never going to pass this exam emo .)

As Arete began to play his part, Sora began to do bounce around in time to the music. First, he started on Arete's head, then bounced to his left shoulder, then back to the head, then to the right shoulder, then back to the head, and repeat. Just as Sora jumped in time to the music, so did Feather tap out the beat with her foot as her head remained still to keep from playing out of tune on her harmonica. The sound of the acoustic guitar (OOC: I'm assuming that Arete doesn't have an electric guitar) and harmonica blended in perfectly with the feel of the folk song. Tsubasa's precise ear could tell that Arete definitely knew what he was doing. He phrased the music and through that expressed what he thought of the song. Allowing him to take the lead position, Tsubasa backed off, playing slightly softer than he was, and followed how he played the music instead of going off on her own ideas.

"Thank you," Feather responded cheerily to Arete's compliment after the song was finished. Pocketing both her harmonica and sheet of music, the girl heard Kora's suggestion. "Oh! A birthday party?" the small girl asked excitedly, clearly intrigued at the celebration, "Can I? Can I really?". The blue-haired bard was hopping up-and-down and side-to-side with excitement. She knew that it might be rude to go to someone's birthday party without even knowing who they were, but it was a party. How could Tsubasa not want to go? She was just like any other little kid. Talking about being like any other little kid, she was also completely oblivious to the awkward situation that Arete put the queen in and continued to jump around as if nothing had happened. was Sora's only thought as he continued to nibble on Arete's hat, keeping an ear out for any useful information.

(OOC: Erm, about how many bullets are there in a revolver and semi-automatic?)
