Rodyn you do realize that the name Devar'rane'nuruodo, means you're not related to thrawn right?
Family name goes first, then core, then what amounts to middle.
Mitth family = Thrawn's Family name
raw = Thrawn's Core name
nuruodo = Thrawn's Middle or perhaps parental name
It irritates me that so many people screw this up, even EU authors.

"Nuruodo" is the name of the ruling family that controls the Ascendancy's military. I gave it to my character on account that he was a pilot in the CEDF.

Nuruodo isn't a ruling family. Your information is wrong.
Known ruling families are. Mitth, Chaf, Prard...
Oh and this is the name of Thrawn's brother for reference.
Mitth'ras'safis
Basically if your information about the chiss comes from someone other then Zahn it's safe to ignore it. Everybody seemed to screw this up.

Then be house Prard or Chaf...
Other known family names... Tann, Yal, Daer
Or your character could do like Sev'rance Tann did and break the family name out of name to match galactic basic.

Lord Dryden Greywolf Im standing behind Stellar on this one. Hes the GM in this, and thus is going to be controlling what actually happens in the RP. I dont want to run around shooting everything I see, I want to step foot on barren, beautiful worlds, sample the unknown, explore some ruins, and get a t-shirt from Chiss Space, maybe battle a Spacewerid... confused

Sorry Rodyn, you can keep the name as it is if you're not related to Thrawn. The nuruodo thing just set me off, I've seen it so many times as thrawn's last name that it irritates me. A lot.
