{There's only one more plot element that need to come into effect before we find a way out. Morgan still needs to discover the truth about his powers.}

Demon got to his feet, his eyes glowing with in inner fire. He stalked forward, towards the other lizard-creature. It leapt at him, it's claws forward to rake at his chest, but it never got the chance. Demon's clawed hand shot out, and caught the creature square in the chest. But the creature didn't fly back as if it'd been punched. In fact, Demon hadn't punched at it, he had punched through it. There was now a fist-sized hole in the creature's chest, with the rest of Demon's arm sticking out of it. The creature had a look of intense surprise on it's face as it looked down at the arm prtruding from it's ribcage.

Demon twisted his hand, and his claws severed the major aeteries connected to the lizard's heart, then withdrew his hand. The lizard fell to the ground, and lay there in a spreading pool of blood.

"Yeah, I think so. But I don't know how many people I can take at a time," Morgan replies.

ooc: No offense but how MANY people are you Rping O.O;

{Well, at the moment I've got four characters. Nano, Astral, Demon, and Morgan. I also control the random guard or scientist if need be.}

Pietro stood there for what seemed like hours, contemplating. "Hmm... well, revenge lets me break things. But doing nothing lets me condemn Pyro and Jacen to their deaths. So you see, I'm a little conflicted.... and honestly, 'CrossFire'? Was 'Dateline' already taken or something?"

He paused for a moment, and looked around, noticing he really was probably the only one who got away. "So that means they got Noko too..." he said to himself, considering she was probably the only one he gave a damn about other than himself. And if he wasn't crazy, he thought he caught a glimpse of Wanda while he'd been running around back there.

"Fine, I'll help you out... but how do we find where those guys were going?" he asked.

All of a sudden, everything metallic within a half mile radius started to stir, as if it had a mind of its own. It was likely confusing to the girl, but to Pietro, the sensation was all too familiar. "Hi dad," Pietro muttered as the lavender clad figure descended from the sky, riding the magnetic field.

"Hello son..." said a stoic Magneto. "I think I know who took the rest of my disciples, and those pests that follow Xavier around." He cast a gaze at the girl menacingly, as if daring her to address him.

Jacen had for the most part stayed to the side while the others handled the constant barrage of creatures. It did make Jacen rather humored to watch these...children trying to fend off beasties. He was a child himself more or less, but he had the training. He excelled at his combat studies. But, something must have jarred him from his nigh stupor as he noticed Wanda sending a creature through wall after wall until there was daybreak.

"Everyone!!," Jacen yelled at the X-Punks. The Brotherhood members and all associated with them were smart and were already heading outside. "We've got daylight!! Let's get the hell out of here!!"

"Are you guys coming or what?" There was an extreme hesitation between the group and Jacen. Finally, Jacen lashed out and fired a bolt of energy infront of the person taking point of their group.

"Listen," Jacen said, rather pissed off and letting it affect the inflection of his voice, "We're all stuck here together. Right? Right. Now, I'm pretty sure alot of you are getting your jollies by killing all of these creatures, but if we don't get out now, it won't end. You'll all fall from exhaustion and then you will be slaughtered. Or worse." He let that stigma fall over the group like a raincloud.

"And you, shadow boy," Jacen said, "Don't worry about how many people you can 'port in and out of here. There's a clear path that leads to the jungles right now. We should take it. It's better than being stuck in this ******** maze."

With that, Jacen turned on his heel and started down the path towards freedom. Though, he wasn't exactly liking the idea of being in this alien wilderness, he did know he stood a better chance out there than in the facility. Methodically, Jacen walked to the last hole in the wall to see that he was about 25 feet in the air. "Nice," Jacen said as he took a step and jumped down out of everyone's sight.

When he hit the ground, he saw that Wanda, Pyro, Noko, as so he heard her called, and Wanda's friend were all there. Unfortunately, Wanda's friend was kind of out of it still and Wanda looked as if she was struggling a bit under her friend's weight.

"Alright, Brotherhood. Here's the deal," Jacen said as he met up with his comrades-in-arms, "I gave the others the option of staying in the facility or following us into the jungles."

"Why?," he heard Pyro ask out of spite. He knew Pyro didn't like the X-Men. Hell, Scion didn't either, but they'd all need to work together to survive.

"Because.....," Jacen said calmly, trailing off. He didn't know why he wanted to help. Maybe it was because.....

".....It's because he has a sister on the opposite side....." Jacen didn't recognize the voice. It HAD to have been Wanda's friend. Looking over, Jacen saw that the taller blonde was waking and talking, although not ready to stand on her own yet.

"She's....oof!!" Jacen was cut off by a concussive blast in his shoulder blade. Actually, it hit him on the cut on his shoulder. Security. And lots of them. Jacen turned around, picked up the projectile, a heavy beanbag. Apparently, they were to be taken alive. Then, without warning, Jacen used what energy he had stored away to strengthen himself and threw the beanbag hard at one of the guards, shattering his plexiglass facemask.

"Into the jungles!! NOW!!!," Jacen commanded as he knocked another guard's gun from his hands and crushed his throat with a knife-edge chop. The rustling of leaves told Jacen all he needed to know; that they were leaving.

Time to cut loose, Jacen thought as he caught a guard's wrist, knife in tow, and positioned it so the guard managed to stab his own liver. With a twist and a wrench, Jacen sliced deeper into the guard's stomach. Still, with the guard bleeding all over his hand, Jacen lifted the body off of the ground. Then, he had heard some screams of agony and Jacen dropped the body on the ground as he saw various body parts and some blood spray arc high in the air.

"What the....," he muttered to himself, as he felt whatever it was pounce upon him. It was the creature that Wanda had used as her battering ram, still alive, although rather agitated. He felt scratch after scratch rip through his arms as he held the beast by the throat, at bay. Still struggling, Jacen tripped over a branch and fell on his back with the beast's weight helping to completely knock the air from him. A few seconds later, Jacen smelled some nasty a** breath and could literally feel the lizard's warm flesh radiating heat. The creature was going to finish the kill.

Dear God....., Jacen thought, as he grabbed the lizard by it's jaws, one in each hand, and pried them open as hard as he could. Then, he heard tissue rend and bone snap. One victory for him.

"That's what you ******** get for trying to ******** eat me......," Jacen said as he walked over the lizard thing's pain-wracked body, sword unleashed. "And this is what you get for just being a pain in my a**." Then, the lizard was headless.

"Flock of Xavier!!!," Jacen yelled at focusing his attention away from the convulsing corpse next to him, "You have ten minutes to get outside or I'm leaving you all to fend for yourselves. And I highly doubt you can survive out here on your own!!!" There was a brief silence before he yelled again, "I'll be at the exit, if you guys need someone to help you down!!!"

OOC: Sorry bout the length of this. Seemed I needed to catch up a bit though.

OOC:Well Ginko, the b-hood and X-men need a way to come home, so hopefully someone will post that Xavier and Magneto come to get there respectibal troops (hint hint) *looks over at Outlaw*

IC: "This is the life.." John gave Noko a side glance as she said this, completely forgetting his oppenet. "What it the world are you talking about?" He asked her. "Sorry. Sometimes I just forget. I have weird dreams." Clearly she was not talking to him, but considering the fact that he had someone to deal with, he decided to just shrug it off and keep on going. He was just about to kill the guy when Wanda took the lizard man, and flung him through the wall. She looked at him. "When you're done burning people alive, just follow me." she said. He looked around. The only people left were the X-men and the guy she was using to knock down walls with. As much as he wanted to deal with the X-men, he didn't have his flamethrowers with him, and Wanda was using the last person. "Here I come," he said alittle disappointed. He followed her through the path until the made it to the forest. It took a second for his eyes to adjust to the light, but finally they were out. He looked at the lizard man. He considered lighting the man on fire, but decided that wanda had done enough to him. Then he heard something that made his head turn. "Alright, Brotherhood. Here's the deal. I gave the others the option of staying in the facility or following us into the jungle" He turned around and looked at Scion. "Why?" he asked. He wasn't in a good mood with thhe X-men. If they hadn't confronted him, he'd be taking care of Noko right now, instead of being her stuck in the jungle. What came next really made his head turn. "Because..... Jacen said, and then Wanda's friend finished the sentence for him. "It's because he has a sister on the opposite side" All John could do was stand there. Jacen has a sister? And she's an X-men? He didn't know what to make of it. He was about to ask Jacen who the girl was, when security gaurds showed up. Lots of them. "Into the jungles!! NOW!!" John ran in to the jungle following wanda. Every now and the turned around at shot a fireball, taking out one of the gaurds. Pyro started to think that they were clear until a lizard man, the one he'd decided not to burn, attacked Jacen. Pyro made a fireball. He wated to take the guy out, but couldn't get a clean shot. Finally after Jacen threw the beast off of him, John launched the fireball. He was almost positve that Jacen had take care of the guy, but he wasn't taking anymor chances. "Flock of Xavier!! You have ten minutes to get outside or I'm leaving you all to fend for youselves. And I highlly doubt you can survive out here on your own!! "Now that more I like it," John said to Jacen. "I'll be at the exit if you guys need someone to help you down!!" He did a double take at Jacen. "Apprently I spoke too soon. Now answer me this. Who's the girl who happens to be your sister. I need to know who not to fight with" he aksed.

OOC:Basically what Scarlet and ROS have posted. Just wanted to add my point of view. I really can't do anything, cause we need the X-men to decided if their comming out.

{Well, here's that last story element I told you about. Oh, and it'll solve both problems. Cloud, Ginko, I'm talking to you guys.}

"You guys go ahead. There's something I need to do first," Morgan says, turning away from the exit, and walking deeper into the faciilty.

"Wait! We're coming with you," Astral says, standing next to Nano.

"No way. It's way too dangerous. These corridors are badly lit. I'll be fine," Morgan replies.

"Dangerous? We've been here for the better part of a year, and survived. I don't care how dangerous it is. We've got a score to settle."

"Fine, then. But I take point."

"Fine. I bring up the rear," Nano adds, his arms crossed.

Morgan nods, then sets off into the facility, Nano and Astral in tow. The corridors are eerily devoid of any life, not even those lizard things that attacked before. It's as if it's been deliberately cleared out for them.

"It's too quiet." "You're tellin me."

The enter what would seem to be a rather large room, but it's impossible to tell. It's pitch black inside, so dark that not even Morgan, with his enhanced night vision, can see through it.

"Ah, Mr. Onasi. How delightful that you've bothered to join us. We have been looking for you for a very long time," (Villian in this scene is played by Hugh Weaving, of course) a voice says out of the darkness.

"Who's there? Show yourself!"

The sound of hundreds of weapons being readyed is heard, and then the lights turn on. There are several levels of observation deck in this room, each of them filled with dozens of armed soldiers. And in the middle of the room, stands a lone figure, clad in a lab coat.

"Who are you? What do you want from me?" Morgan says, his voice filled with barely contained rage.

"What do we want from you? We want you specifically, Remnant. You are the key to this entire operation. You are first and last masterpiece of my predecessors. You are the remnant of their greatness."

"What the hell are you talking about?"

"You mean you didn't know? Well, it doesn't matter now. Guards, subdue the prisoners."

Several of the guards drop down from the lower levels, and walk toward the three. They try to fight, but it does little good. They're somply outnumbered.

Several minutes later....

Morgan awakes, and looks around groggily. He tries to sit up, only to find that he is strapped down to some sort of table. He turns his head to the left and right, and sees that Nano and Astral are in the same position.

"Ah, good. You're awake. It would be a shame for you not to be awake when I explain everything." {Here comes a standard monologue! xd }

"Wha- what are you talking about?" Morgan says, still trying to regain his senses.

"Do you know what a mutation is? It is an alteration in the genetic code of a species, that usually results in some sort of effect. Usually it's something small, like an extra toe. But sometimes, it results in something much more extraordinary, such as the powers in your friends. Mutation is a natural occurence. Most of the time. But not in your case, Mr. Onasi. Oh no, not for you.

You are the last and greatest achievement of the ones who came before me. You are Project Alpha," the man says, pacing back in forth in front of Morgan. While he's doing this, though, his attention is not on Morgan as the boy get's closer and closer to freeing himself from his bindings.

"What is Project Alpha? Have you ever heard of Captain America? Project Alpha is along the same lines as a super-soldier program, such as the one that created the good Captain. But, unlike that one, which might risk complete genetic breakdown by altering an adult, we worked on created oe who would be born with the potential," the scientist continues.

"You experimented on fetuses..." Morgan says, continuing to free himself from his bonds. He manage to get on of his arms free, and sets about quietly loosening the other straps, so that when the time is right, he could free the others, and escape.

"Correct. But for some reason, there was only one succesful experiment. Can you geuss who that is? You, Mr. Onasi. You are the only surviving experiment of Project Alpha. And now we shall see just how much potential you have," the scientist finishes, producing an injector gun from his pocket.

"Contained in this is the mutation-specific part of the young lady's genetic code, and the delightful little nanomachines of your friend here," he says, motioning to Astral and Nano.

"And what do you plan to do with that?" Morgan slowly slid the straps out of their clasps.

"I intend to see just how resilient you are, Mr. Onasi," the scientist says, advancing on Morgan.

"Sorry, doc, but I've already had my vacciinations!" Morgan cries, leaping of of the table, ans knocking the scientist to the ground. "Come on, you guys, time to go!" he says, undoing the straps on the other tables, and helping Astral and Nano to their feet.

"Stop them!! They musn't escape!!"

Several dozen guards hop down to stop their progress. They swarm towards the three, but instead of trying to fight this time, they simply dodge past them, trying to get them out from in front of the door.

A few soldiers run towards them but are repelled by Astral's forcefields. Unfotunately, none of them were watching behind them, and the were grabbed by a few guards. The scientist slowly walks up to Morgan, the injector in hand. "You've been a lot of trouble, Mr. Onasi, but in the end, you're still just a lab experiment." Morgan grimaces as the needle is pressed into his neck, and the substance inside pumped into his bloodstream.

"I'll show you just what a "lab experiment" can do," Morgan growls. He snaps his head back, knocking the guard in the chin, and causing his grip to loose on Morgan's arms. In that brief instant, he gets them free, and filps the guard over his shoulder, his armored body slamming into the ground. He delivers a high kick to the forehead of the one holding Astral, knocking him to the ground, and the tow of them quickly dispatch the one holding onto Nano.

"Come on, let's get out of here!" Morgan calls to the others, as he runs towards the five or six soldiers blocking the exit. "Astral, hold them at bay while I take them out. Nano, make sure they don't sneak up on her."

They both nod.

Morgan pulls the guards past the barrier of the forcefield one by one, taking them out with ease. "That's the last of them. Come on," Morgan says, motioning to the two of them. Jack picks up one of the weapons dropped by the soldiers, before following the othe two as they run down the hallway, toward the opening to the outside. "Astral, I need a horizontal forcefield, one that we can stand on," Morgan says, looking over the edge of the small cliff.

"No problem," she says, raising her arms. A neraly invisible surface appears in the air, and the three of them step on, just before a few dozen guards start streaming through the hole. They get to the ground a few seconds before the soldiers do. "We have to move! NOW!" Morgan shouts, motioning to them. "No, you guys go ahead. We'll buy you as much time as we can," Nano says, levelling the weapon at the advancing line of soldiers. "Go, now, before they arrive!" Demon says, pushing Morgan away.

"What?! You'll be killed! I'm not going to let you do this!" Morgan cries, trying to pull them along.

"I'm sorry, Morgan, but this is something that we have to do. Goodbye," Astral says, knocking Morgan several hundred feet back with a powerful forcefield.

{Morgan's powers are going to change, mind you. Remember the injection? It'll take effect on the way home.}
