Nagi shunpoed onto a rooftop, it was wet and damp as if something, a tsunami or something had come rushing through this area. There were also dozens of bodies scattered throughout the district. Nagi looked down not saying anything.
He jumped off the roof and landed as he watches the shinigami called Shinrei perform a burial for the corpses of those who were massacred by the enemy. Nagi stands there not saying a word, he then turns around as he walks towards Hiren and Kaosu.

Kaosu froze. He was trapped. "I...uh...I didn't know we were supposed to report in?" He knew it was a shallow attempt, but it was worth a shot. Oh man...I don't want to get ragged on by anyone...crap. Guessing my luck, I'm going to be the only one caught. Go friggin' figure. Kaosu sighed. "Fine, fine. I know I was supposed to be in there. Hell, I warned Yamamoto about this. Do you honestly think I could just sit around and do nothing? A war, and I just sit calmly and do nothing? No. I'm not one to do that. Scold me, go for it. Scorn me, I'm all for that. But no, I'm not going to sit on my sorry, bony a** and do nothing. M'am."
He noticed the band when he said 'M'am'. I am sooo dead meat.

Hiren glanced over to Nagi, before her gaze turned back to the student, and softened.
"War isn't easy. But you students.. you're not ready for this yet. The type of power these people can unleash. It isn't something you're capable of dealing with yet," she shook her head, and gave his shoulder a light squeeze.
"I was young the first time this started. I had reached Bankai by the time the first war ended. You'll get your chance to fight, trust me," then, she narrowed her eyes, before shaking her head.
"Listen. I want you to go back to Seireitei. Give Soutaichou this.." she reached up, and pulled the string holding her insignia on it, and pressed it into his hand. "Tell him that we need more shinigami utilized. And send some of the students to assist with the burial here. Things are going to be even more chaotic in Inuzuri, and we'll need all of the assistance we can get. Let him know I'll report in later"
"I'm trusting you with this," and she released him, and moved toward the entrance of the alleyway, moving gingerly, to avoid stepping on the already crushed sea of bodies.

It would come to the minds of those still on the outside; Hiren. Nagi. Shinrei. All those in this district that are officially on duty hear Aichou's voice..echoing across their souls.
"So far I've been able to narrow down the number of enemies trace reiatsu. If I have read correctly, there are a total of five. There's at least one that's on the level of a fully ranked teacher, one I can't read much on at all, and two shinigami that are not like the one that is fighting today. From what I'm estimating, the one that fought Shinrei today is the weakest of the five. Though he has increidble reiatsu, his skills aren't sharp enough to be the strongest. Not even close. From what I'm gathering, that man that just left is the most powerful..at least that I've been able to read. For now, it seems like they've left Soul Society, but I can't trail them. They went outside the sensing range. They're gone, for sure. Their reiatsu is gone for now..but I doubt they'll stay that way."

Haro breathed deeply as he leaped off of the rooftop and onto the streets, so he was not caught the same way Kaosu had been and he looked up and he smirked as he did so. "Pssst!!" He growled as he stood there on the street, looking up at him, hoping he heard, but not the other teachers or whomever up there. "Kaosu!" He whispered, though in a harsh, audible tone. But then the woman told Kaosu to go back to where he had come from, and gave him something, that he couldn't quite make out. He breathed a deep sigh, was Kaosu already going to leave now? He would have to wait and find out.

Kaosu nodded, thought peeved. "I'll do it." He turned and began sprinting, harboring intense thoughts of resentment. I'm a shinigami, not some stupid friggin' messenger boy. Regardless, he began his long, tedious path towards the Sereitei; and 'safety'.
How could I even think of achieving bankai if they won't let me fight?

She sort of nods, not really to anyone in particular, but more in agreement with what Aichou says. She understood the gravity of this situation to begin with, she knows that eventually, everyone is going to be confined in the walls of Seireitei, not like the area itself was small to begin with, but still.

He growled as he stood there, looking up at Kaosu, he could understand the look of frustration upon his friends face...but he was pissed that he hadn't acknoledged him at all. "Well fine...I guess I am heading back there too...." He sighed. No!! Don't go back Haro! Just go on, who cares about Kaosu! Just go and get me some god damned BLOOD!!!! The voice in his head screamed and Haro had to struggle against it as he began to walk back towards the Sereitei.

Nagi closes his eyes and thinks for a second. "If they are gone, that means they've escaped our range for counterattack, this means they'll attack again, where and when, we won't know. We have to confront them before they confront us,"
"I'll request to Sotaicho that we have an investigation of this incident and the new enemies that we are facing, they are from what I've felt and what I've heard...shinigami or once shinigami. But whoever they are, they have offended the laws of Soul Society," he paused. "I would have thought this was the act of hollows..."

She turned back to face Nagi.
"Hollow's can't do this. At least not the lesser ones. Even a greater hollow, I doubt there would be enough of anyone here to scrape up off the walls," great tact, not.
"Nagi, I think we may end up sealing off Seireitei, if this keeps up. If their goal is anything like it was before... we'll have to, to keep them from getting into the main halls."

"True, Hollows may not be able to do this, but that was the first thing that came to my mind when I felt this kind of reiatsu, I thought it may have been a vastalorde". Nagi's patted his hair for a bit while he was thinking. "If we seal off Seireitei, the investigation will not be able to be carried out, but Seiretei's safety comes first... do we have any witnesses to the enemies' power? We could simply conduct the investigation using key witnesses and then try to predict their movements from there. But we'll have limited information on them if we do that".
"We could always dispatch a investigation unit, but it'll risk their lives dearly trying to track down the enemy,"

Ugu jumped off a building's half collapsed frame and landed on a crooked street. His eyes looked down at the layers and layers of corpses that framed the smashed roadway. The lime pieces of diamond that were ingrained in the shinigami's white orbs soon found that they were soaking with salty tears. Ugu's vision blurred as he looked at the thick morass of the dead.
He fell to his knees upon seeing three familiar looking bodies. The small fogged up diamonds in the center of his white eyes shrunk, allowing for his eyes to be completely white. A young woman, with two children curled up in her arms. The exact same three people that he had tried to heal.
The woman's arms still strained to keep her two children close to her. Ugu could see the thin cords of the woman's thin arms still tensed with holding her kiddos. His nearly pure white eyes looked at the paralyzed eyes of the children, who were still clutching to their mother's torn and water-drenched shawl. From their positioning and stunned facial expressions he noted that they survived their house being blown up.....
But they had died--along with a vast horde of others. He felt like he should scream. He felt like he should be ripping out his hair and smashing his face into the blood stained ground beneath him. He felt it.. But he couldn't move. His eyes shifted back from their strained state and his lime dots widened to their normal diameter. His mind, however, remained fixated on the corpses that were missed by Shinrei's burial services.
So he remained there; quite frozen in agony.

"Does it matter?" Hiren's voice was soft, as she stepped forward from between the buildings, onto the street, moving delicately over the bodies. Death in Soul Society was different from death in the real world. Much different.
"For now, I think we should rely on witnesses. We won't risk an investigation team until there's a specific need to do so. We don't want to put any more people in danger than we need to," she knelt slowly, lifting the hand of a small child, before hoisting the body gently in her arms, one hand extending outwards, as the burst of reiatsu from it spread a hole in the ground. The hole was large enough that the bodies would pile into them.
"We'll bury them with fire. I think, considering what has happened, it's only right. Killed by water, and purged by fire. May their next lives be better," she slowly lowered the body of the child into the hole, before turning to fetch the next one. She should be scouting ahead, but.. this was also her duty. Yamamoto would understand.

She lands here, after several flash steps. She just frowns softly..before wordlessly drawing, and releasing her weapon. She raises the large sword to her back, and then shoves it into the ground. She sits down then, the chains on the long gauntlet that runs up her arm wrapping about the gauntlet itself. She looks down..eyes thoughtful..
"It's going to rain."
And no sooner does she say it, then it starts..it wasn't cloudy a minute ago at all, but now it's raining, and cloudy. the large sword has a faint violet glow..pulsing in time with the rain. She looks up at the sky, and her eyes are sad..
"It isn't the place for this..I know that war comes, and I know people die..but this..this is the kind of scene that belongs back in Hell..in the kind of place where there is nothing but instinct..no law, no order..it's the kind of place..where people aren't people anymore."
She turns her eyes over to Ugu then..and can't help but understand that terrible feeling. She speaks up softly..her voice quiet probably for the first time in a long time..
"It's hard..this helpless feeling. There never is a way you get used to feeling it. Sometimes, it's best just to laugh and kill..that's what they told us..whenever people die..just take out that sad feeling on your enemies. But when there are no enemies..I don't know what to do. This sword..it can feel the sadness around it..it has the power of the sky. Let the heavens cry..because we can't. Not for long. Heaven will remember..even when we forget. Will you be alright..?"

"I'll help.." Nagi replied as he took two male bodies and carefully lay them into the hole. "Heh, you've thought we'd at least make proper graves for these people than to put them in a hole and pile them," Nagi commented as he went back up to talk to Hiren.
"Have you heard how the academt students are doing? We'll be needing a new draft of shinigami anytime soon to combat these new enemies'," Nagi said as he picked up two drowned corpses.
