"Jinx!" Alcharius cried as he was sent flying back with her. "Are you alright? That was Death magic! That Bleck's a necromancer of some sort!"

"Correct," the Bleck intoned. "I am Mortuamus, general of Her Divine Majesty, Harregia." He glanced over his shoulder, smirked slightly, then pointed his hand at the group once again. "Troops," he commanded. "Attack!" With this, a multitude of Blecks of many shapes and sizes began pouring into city and into the street Bryce, Jinx and Throngar were in, charging with teeth, claws and, occasionally, weapons bared.

"I don't think so!" Throngar roared, stabbing his staff into the ground and causing the earth underneath the feet of the Blecks to crack asunder, tripping many of them and causing general chaos. "Bryce! Jinx! Can either of you get to that guy and smash that amulet?"

Throngar was, at that moment, dealing a crushing blow to a nearby Bleck's skull. "I sat at the back of a few classes because the Grand Mage's wife was giving them!" he shouted back at Bryce. "You would have too if you'd seen her, trust me! Anyway, does that count?"

LaCroix sat up groggily as he was healed by Bryce, when his vision was restored he smiled and took Bryce's hand and pulled himself up. He noticed his hammer was right next to the guy who just blasted the hell out of him. Scowling and cracking his knuckles he prepared to get his weapon back.

Howling like a deranged animal he charged through a horde of Humanoid Bleck bowling through them and swatting the ones he didnt slam into away with his huge fists. Bodies of Bleck flew left and right and LaCroix dove into a roll and seized his hammer from underneath Mortuamus. Swinging it madly he grinned at Mortuamus and swung for his amulet.

"You know," Mortuamus spoke to LaCroix as he was doing this. "Generally, when one is nearly killed but graciously healed by one's allies..." As LaCroix swung, Mortuamus vanished; a split-second later, the Champion would feel sharp, cold steel slice through the flesh across his back. "... one then obliges them by not getting killed just moments later." The Bleck leader was stood there with a longsword in hand. Its blade was thin and jet-black in colour and it had a silver cross-guard. His amulet was now glowing blue, though it stopped doing so a few seconds later.

Throngar meanwhile was continuing to dispatch Blecks. Seeing LaCroix's blitz, though, reminded him of something... "OI! GORUM!" he bellowed at the top of his voice as he continued to dispatch his foes with a mixture of staff blows and some surprisingly agile hand-to-hand combat. "WHERE THE CHUFFING HELL ARE YOU?""

"Jinx! Look out!" Alcharius cried as wolf-like Bleck with long, sickle-like claws suddenly broke away from the rest of the mass and tore at her, jaw salivating.

Suddenly the Wolf-Bleck atop Jinx (lol) would be kicked onto the floor next to Jinx by Bryce, who then gutted it thoroughly. He chuckled, some blood had splattered onto his face. "Y'know, I should really get my helmet on."

Bryce raised his eyebrow and glanded in Jinx's direction. "Oh FINE!" he said smiling. He ran towards the four Blecks, all of which were humanoid and wielding swords. The nearest one took a vicious stab at Bryce during his charge, which he knocked to the side with his shield. Bryce then continued to impale the Bleck's jugular with a quick, clean thrust, before removing his blade and spinning on one heel around the first Bleck, cutting clean through the next one's waist, leaving it in two. The remaining two attacked him in unison, Bryce rolled underneath their attacks and stood up after picking up one of Jinx's daggers in his shield hand. He was now behind the Blecks, and he impaled them both simultaneously using his sword and Jinx's dagger, which he'd dropped his shield to be able to use effectively. As the Blecks fell dead, Bryce picked up the other dagger in the same hand as the first, and resheathed his sword so he could pick up his shield. He casually walked back over to Jinx and offered her the two daggers, smiling honestly.

By the time Jinx made it back to Bryce, the blond Champion had three dead Bleck bodies around him, and was just finishing up impaling a fourth. "You were saying?"

Which suddenly sprang up and tried to knock her over. Looked like it had only been feigning before. Guess some Blecks were half-smart after all, huh?
