I may be blind

User ImageSeo Himine
Seo was hopping from tree to tree trying to conserve whatever energy he had left to stay awake. He hadn't had much good rest lately and it was starting to take its tole. His mind began to drift off and his reaction time was starting to get worse.

He thought it was becomming dangerous to move so quickly so high so he slowed down and dropped to the forrest floor. He was still moving reletively fast but was still slowing down considerably. He would have to sleep soon but he hoped he could get to the sand village before that. Seo reached into his ration pouch and poured his water on his face. The shock of the cold water hitting his face woke him up and gave him the focus he needed to speed up and get back on schedual. The trees were thinning and he knew ie was nearing wind country.

User ImageSeo Himine
Seo was now entering wind country and was becomming more and more fatigued. Without jutsu he was expending more physical energy than he was used to. Seo's chakra well was now full and he was free to use any jutsu he wanted. He began to make the hand signs for his jutsu. When he was done his feet were covered in wind and he began to hover over the ground but only a few inches.

He began to skate sliding his feet as if he were wearing rollerblades. The wind under his feet moving him quickly forward toward Suna. Seo began to move over sand as the forrest ended. Seo had to skate harder in order to move forward. It was still less energy than running so he didn't cancel the jutsu. He kept this up until he could start hearing voices. He kept skating until he heard everything clearer. He guessed that he had made it close enough so he canceled the jutsu and used body flicker to transport himself to the village gate.

.The silent wind did nothing to distract the two ANBU as they rose and fell amongst the trees effortlessly. Such was the nature of their relationship that they did not need words to speak. Raion followed Kirabachi even emotionally, his lack of confidence almost a parallel for servitude. However, with his growing confidence, he spoke after a great long time. His words came quiet and respectful, though there seemed to be an annoyance present,
"K-Kirabachi sensai... where are we -um- going...?"
The placid wasp mask of Kirabachi was silent in return and Raion just sighed. He knew that would be the response but somewhere deep down he hoped for more of a meaningful connection between him and his teacher.
"Um... I... wanna say... -um-...."
Raion began but he stopped himself, seeing Kirabachi's face still looking nowhere but forward.

"Inochi-kun... what are you doing here?"
Kirabachi's voice was solemn and challenging.

"Um, I...I thought you wanted me to come?"

"No... what are you here? We all have our reasons for becoming a ninja."

"Oh... um... I, -um- don't know why-"

"Be honest with yourself." Kirabachi's stern voice interrupted him. It was a raw and honest comment and it rattled Raion a little.

"Um... I -um- guess it's because my sister was, and my family's always been ninja."

"So you became a ninja to be like your family?"

"N-no! I -um-... I...."
Raion trailed off, he couldn't think of how to vocalize it. Maybe he wasn't really sure why he became a ninja in the first place...
"I'm a ninja because I want to be with everyone else..." Inochi finally decided, "I like being around other people who are ninja... if that means I have to be a ninja, so be it... I guess."

"That's not honest enough."

Raion's face flushed under the mask and he missed a step on the next branch, but recovered after his momentary stumble.
"I- um, I don't know."

"I think we both know why you became a ninja. I read your file."

If it was possible the ANBU Chunin's face went an even deeper shade of red,
"Oh... -um-... ok..."

"Your sister."

"Oh... I -um- guess... she... influenced me..."

"No, she's the reason you became a ninja... am I wrong? You wanted to be like her... no... I think you wanted to BE her..."

Raion went silent. Maybe it was out of anger, maybe it was not.

"Inogare's missing. About 6 months back, just before the exams I got a report that detailed a hunt order on her."

Raion's fist clenched but he still said nothing.

"Inogare betrayed the village Inochi-kun..."

A quick right landed itself on Kirabachi's mask with impressive speed and force for the new chunin. He hadn't tried to dodge it but as they stood there on the tree branch, Kirabachi's mask cracking- Inochi saw what he had been trying to do. As a chunk of mask fell away over his eye- he could see the devious energy of a smile creeping into it.

Raion regained his composure looking the opposite direction in shame. "Is... any of that true. Is Inogare rogue?"

Kirabachi rubbed his jaw softly. The kid had a hook, but it wasn't much to speak of. He was lacing in strength but he made up for it in technique.
"It's true she is missing. I've got no more information that that."

Raion simmered but accepted that. His teacher had been trying to provoke him and it had worked.

"You've got to discipline yourself Raion, you know your weakness is courage. Without it, you'll loose yourself to the enemy like you just did me. That's why I've brought you on this training mission.

Raion was still ashamed of himself, he just fumed and looked away, adrenaline still pumping in his veins.

"Rai...Inochi, you need to find your nindo while you are out here. Find someone worth believing in. When you've found it- you'll be ready. But until then- you'll be training with Master Saito."

"Master Saito?"

Kirabachi chuckled a little bit, "He's the most manly man I've ever met. If you can't survive his training- you'll never amount to anything. It's do or die time kid."

Kagekarasu traveled through the ground, hardly making a sound despite the cloak around him. He sped on, adding chakra to his legs to augment the soldier pill. He finally saw an opening and hopped into a low tree branch, then a little higher as he traveled to catch up.

Kagekarasu stopped at a nearby lake a few hours later to refill a container he had found. He knew he would need it to get through the brutal deserts of Sand Village. He continued on, noting the change in temperature. This wouldn't be fun...

Garou

Garou jumped off another tree branch and flew threw the air for a moment feeling the heat starting to rise all around him and smiled. He knew this was coming and got prepared for all this stuff ahead of time as well. A food pill was ok but he kept what remained of his food pills that he had left, hoping that he was powerful to take most of them down. After a while he landed and jumped again gliding threw the air as he looked back for his friend. The travel was already like a day or two sence they both didn't stop and they were heading straight for the sand. As he landed on another he smiled and jumped passing the trees and fliped in the air replacing his ANBU mask with his other mask he was going to use in the exams.

Kagekarasu followed suit, catching up to his teammate until he had fallen in stride with him. As he ran, he slid off his ANBU mask with a hint of regret, and replaced it wiht the mask he was assigned to use during the exam. He continued on, keeping the chakra in his legs steady as he ran. Soon they would arrive...

"As long as there's music..."

Running through the forest came Shiso Madaraki with Aoiro riding on her shoulder as she raced through the grass and trees surrounding them; not that she had anyone to compete against... But still, she did want to get there as fast as she could. The music was gone now, but she could still feel her feet going to whatever fast rhythm she had in her system.

She knew where she was going. She DID after all get an A in geography and passed it easily despite having barely passed all her other subjects with an average, occasional Cs and Ds. She was suprised how she even knew where the the sand village was let alone the direction of it...

As surprising as that was, she was more or less dumbfounded that she didn't have alot on her mind right now... Usually, it'd be swarming with all sorts of thoughts right now. But now... She was just barely getting started running here.

Shuniji wasn't sure how much longer his adrenaline high was going to last. He could already feel his rational thought returning as its pressure weighed down on his legs. He had slowed his pace a while back, but still kept up a reasonable speed as he bounced through the tree branches. He was, what? Partway through the Land of Fire? It would take him a few more days before he made it to the Land of Wind. Jeeze, he'd have nearly a week's worth of travel time alone.

...Leaving one week to track down and kill Seika.

Did he really have enough time? Where was she, anyway? Wasn't the Land of Wind the largest country in the world? Could he survive in the desert? His pants didn't breathe!

Reality slowly started to seep in and Shuniji found himself leaping slower and slower through the branches until he finally stopped and dropped down, deeming this place good enough for the night. He knew what his mission was, he knew what he had to do, how he was going to do it and whether or not he could accomplish his goals didn't really matter. It would either get done, or he'd die--be disposed of like the trash he'd be if he couldn't even accomplish a simple assassination. He knew Seika and he knew Seika's jutsu, plus he'd been bestowed the gift of the Kakoai to help him track her movements! Yes, he could do this... yet it didn't fully subdue the queasy, nagging feeling he held at the back of his mind.

He'd think more clearly in the morning.

Her running got faster now, obviously picking up speed as she felt her heart pounding in her chest the deeper and deeper she got into the forest. Aoiro didn't bother her at all up on her shoulder, in fact, she kind of found it cute that he was bobbing his head up and down as she ran through the grass and trees, her long hair flying behind her as she headed for the direction of the Sand village; it was a pretty big forest, and she had a long way to go, but at least she knew where she was going... Plus, if she got lost, she always had Aoiro here to help guide her on over there, right?

Now... It was in the sand village, but were exactly IN the sand village WAS it? North or south? Maybe Aoiro would help her out on that too once she got there... Least she was off on a good start. Just a few more ways further to the west, and she'd be nearby Otogakure...

... Not that she was planning to visit there, or anything. She just knew it was there was all. Besides, that place really creeped her out. Especially with the Otokage and all... I mean, she hadn't personally met the guy, but from what she heard, he was a real creeper...

Kazuki Habaragi

Kazuki was flying so fast through the trees he felt like he was positively flying. Every time he felt like stopping he steeled himself to keep going. The pill he had eaten had disappeared down his throat and now its effects were wearing off and Kazuki felt exhausted. Probably should take a....quick rest....can't be late right? He barely managed to land and plop against a tree before passing out.

"As long as there's music..."

From the looks of things, she had to say... That she was near the outskirts of the Valley of End and the Fire country; still a long ways behind... Right now, she had gotten tired of running and decided to take a break as she walked further into the depths of the forests and sighed, wiping the sweat off her brow as she got the water bottle from her leg strap and drank a little before offering some to Aoiro and putting it back while stretching, combing her fingers through her ginger red hair.

She wasn't exactly 'fresh' looking right now; she looked something of an old woman right now, what with the sweat and the matted, tousled hair and beet-red face, but at least no one was here to see that. Err, other than Aoiro. Besides, she was going to look alot worse now that she was entering the chunin exams; it would take a barrel of shampoo and conditioner just to get her hair back to the way it was... All shiny and silky smooth...

So far, so good. By her own intuition, she would've guessed that she was near the Takigakure... Which meant that she was almost halfway there. She stopped running for a good time, until she had finally took a breather and caught her breathe in time for her to wander through the wild, untamed forestry of her surroundings and sighed; if it weren't so infested with nats and bugs... It actually wouldn't be so bad.

... But dear god, either it was humid, or she still felt hot from all that running she did... Ugh... Her mom's outfit was SO not good for running in the wilderness. Especially when wearing these heels... She then drank another gulp of water from her bottle and stretched on more time before pacing herself for a short while, then bolted straight for the Kusagakure. Just a few more miles... And she'd be there already in the Rain village. Just hours away from the Sand village...

She had ran a long way. If she had wanted to, she would've used her Mimicry jutsu to fly over there... But no. She wanted to save her chakra, every once of it when she got to the exams. She would need it to fight against god knows what... Surprisingly, Aoiro had been pretty quiet back there on her shoulder; I mean, yeah, sure, she knew he could talk, but... Maybe he didn't know what to say was all...? Or maybe he was still having trouble to... Yeah, that must be it.

She'd have guessed, by now, she was somewhere along the Amegakure and River Country. Which meant the Wind Country was still up ahead. Good... Least now, she knew she was already nearby... Besides, she was tired of running, and decided to just stick to walking. Perhaps it was just her, but she felt kind of hot, and kind of sweaty too just thinking about Suna... Great... Now she had to wander the whole way in the desert and look for the Village hidden in the Sand, and try not to die of thirst...

Shiso then looked at the bottle she was holding, and placed the cap back on; she'd save it for later. Something told her the heat was going to KILL her hair and do some serious damage to her skin...

Lonely Girl always looked at unreachable dreams
Making a fuss if you got inside her head and disturbed, disturbed.

"No problem." Was murmured, but weren't those words lost?

Fail again, fail again.
After ending your search for mistakes, it spins again!

Once more, once more.
"I'll also roll today,"
That girl says, that girl says,
Playing her words with meaning

"Are you better now?"
"It's still a ways off, I still don't see the point. I'm gonna stop my breathing, now."

Rolling Girl is at the end of the ruins, unreachable, beyond colors
Overlapping voices with voices and blending, blending.

"No problem." Was murmured, but those words were lost....

singing heals the soul...or so she heard...

she was just wasting away the hours, since she was in complete solitude until the chunin exams were over...
