"Uh chaps?" The Night person asked, and just walked off disappointed."Wonder if they got any good drinks here." He walked into the cellar, and gasped."Holy sh*t, what's with this monkey....?"
No reply from Farskon

"Good." Scribbler nodded at the enchantress, relieved. She then turned to the nightling...only to find him gone with cry about a white monkey.
...Let's just say the cellar door was flung open very quickly, the paene twisting a shield of ink about herself and the others.

"Farkson!"
Emma ran right past the Night Person and towards the cellar, drawing her sword and keeping her power about her.
"Scribbler, he's here!"

Remus followed after Emma and Scribbler to the cellar. He told his guards to stand watch at the top of the stairs and walked down.

There was a pumping sound in the cellar; a machine.
Farskon was seated in a chair, but his head was flung back and his mouth full of large tubes. Silver, and some bits of red blood slid out of the tubes, going into a large tank. The machine glowed purple, power from arcane.
Farskon was awake, but his eyes were glassy, and eyes red and watery. He did not seem to notice you.
The night person backed away nervously.

It was only with great care that Emma made her way towards Farkson, using her Sight to check for traps. She was not so foolish as to simply charge in and hack the machine away from the boy, as much as she would have liked to.
The very sight of it made her sick to her stomach, but she ignored it.

"...?!"
...Oh, ****. He...Can't just yank it out, it'll break more things-- The paene cut that thought off, growing businesslike.
"We have to shut off that machine, or reverse its flow. Any ideas?"

"It seems they really did a number on him." Remus muttered as he eyed the machine that seemed to be sucking some substance out of the paladin.
Edit: "Is there a reverse switch of any sort?" the Imperator replied to Scribbler, almost sarcastically.

The Night Person approached closer."Oh my god is that the Paladin?" He stuttered."He's just supposed to be an urban myth, you guys should get away from him....like now."

"Sorry. Thinking out loud again."
The tubes were pumping...there was a power source. And the only way to take out a power source was to meet it with an equal and opposite force...but Arcane magic was how it worked.
There did seem to be quite a lot of switches on the machine, though.
Scribbler moved closer to the paladin, wincing at the sight but determined to see how far the tubes went down...and if it was safe to remove them by pulling.

Emma let the other two talk it out as she stared at the monstrosity before her, utterly dumbfounded.
Technology; the bane of her existence.

Scribbler was loath to pull any switches willy-nilly...but she did know the power source. It burned slightly as she put her hands up to it.
"Emma...do you know how to reverse the polarity of Arcane magic?"

Remus walked closer and took a look at the machine and looked over the switches and buttons. He found what appeared to be the switch that would throw the whole thing in reverse, but the symbols were in some ancient language that the Imperator couldn't read.
"Hey, Emma do you think you could translate the words on the control here? I think it might be the right switch but I just want to be sure..."

The machine whirred, and hummed, it was not of this world. It was imported and modified from the Human's Earth. A strange hybrid of machine and magic. It was unstable, unlike the very rare machine and magic hybrids; the technology was too advanced for the magic.

Emma placed her hands on the machine, ignoring the sharp pain it sent up her arms. Slowly but surely, she began to reverse the polarity.
