Alex watched everything, slowly. It seemed like slow motion.

Lune now stood in front of both boars. They stared at each other in a silence that seemed to stretch on forever. One of the boars came up to him and smelled him. He watched it calmly. Then, it turned around and walked away. Lune glanced at the other boar.

Alex sighed in relief. The other boar had other ideas as he charged at alex.

Lune turned towards Alex, fear in his eyes. "Alex! Hold the spear in front of you to avert its path!" He ran over towards him, hoping to catch up to the boar.

Alex nodded and closed his eyes as he held the spear in front of him. The next thing he knew, the boar squealed and died, blood splattering on alex.

Lune's eyes widened at the luck Alex had. He walked over to him and gently took away the spear. "Alex. Alex! Are you okay?"

Alex looked blankly, then started to cry. He had never killed anything before.

Lune held Alex close, trying to keep him calm. "Shh! It's alright. You had no choice. Everything will be fine."

Alex nodded softly as he hugged Lune.

Lune continued to comfort him and rubbed his back. "Come on, lets get out of here. The smell of blood will draw other animals here in a bloodlust." He helped Alex to his feet.

Alex nodded and walked back to the cave with lune. "there he started to clean off.

Lune took the bloodied clothes. "It's a good thing I found our other clothes already. I'm gonna have to burn these to kill the blood scent." He tossed them on the fire and then walked over to Alex with his other clothes. "Hey. Say something, you're making me nervous." He paused. "You've...never killed before, have you?"

"I see." Lune looked down guiltily. "S-Sorry!" He bowed low to the ground. "I should've been paying attention and protected you better. You shouldn't have had to do such a thing!!!" Why? Why had I gotten so distracted in such a dangerous place!?

Alex looked up suddenly and hugged Lune gently. "It's not your fault. He decided to charge...no one would ever see it coming." Alex said softly.
