Saito pulled out a few linens that he used to clean the blood off of his sword and put them in a few of the holes while his other arm just hanged there. "So how long does this things venom last for?

Reluctantly, Raul approached the cage close enough to shove some rags in the places where the mesh had been eaten away by the acidic goo from the kirdel.
BillBob got most of the rest of them, answering Saito's question with:
"Not more than a few minutes, IF we can find where Christie put the antidote."
Meanwhile, the fluttering and clicking sounds made by the vernaiba already loose in the room were coming closer.

Saito was beginning to get annoyed by them, He quickly turned around and formed a small orb of energy in his hand and sent it at them blowing up in midair in the middle of the flapping horde

A few of the vernaiba managed to avoid the energy blast by scattering away from the middle of the group. They paused for only a small moment, then flew at the three guys below them.

Saito unsheathed his sword and waited for them to get closer.

They did.
Raul ducked before the vernaiba even got within Saito's striking distance, and BillBob reached for another handful of dry pet food.

Saito quickly swong trying to cut off the heads of two of them.

The attack worked. As the heads and bodies separated from each other fell, one of the other vernaiba dove down, chasing one of the heads.
BillBob threw his handful of pet food, and the other two vernaiba followed it, moving farther away from the people.

((No, sorry, it's that I've been insanely busy recently with a number of things that came up and haven't made it onto Gaia much. My apologies.))
BillBob wiped the pet food crumbs off of his hands and said: "We need to find that antidote first! Christie has to have put it in this room somewhere!"
"Yeah, but where?" Raul glanced around the dim room full of cages and random crates. A movement down near his feet drew his attention and he yelped, jumping back and against the vernaiba cage. The vernaiba head that another of the creatures had chased had rolled nearby and the winged... thing... was trying to pick up the head and carry it in its mouth, but it was just a little too awkward of an object, and the vernaiba kept dropping it and trying again.
Before it could give up on the task, BillBob grabbed his scrub-brush and gave it a good whack, smashing the thing into the floor. It took a couple more hits to finish it off, by which time the other two vernaiba had started flying back, each with a piece of dry pet chow in its mouth.
BillBob looked up. "Oops. Christie told me they would chase things, but I didn't think she'd taught them to fetch already!"

Saito gave a slight sigh and just watched the other two winged creatures, He sheathed his sword and walked over to the others " Lets get the antidote while they are distracted, cus I am beginning to loose feeling in my other arm."

Throwing another handful of stuff for the vernaibe to chase after, BillBob said:
"I'm just not sure where she put it! It has to be in a cabinet around here somewhere. Check the cupboards for anything that looks like a medicine cabinet!"
Raul looked around uncertainly. There were a number of cabinets among the cages. He sighed and, casting a glance in the direction of the vernaiba, started opening and closing cabinet doors with his good hand. Most of them seemed empty. Some of them had random implements, tools, and things that might be edible for some monster or other.

Saito walked around opening some of the cabinet with his semi-good arm but was not being too successful about it.
