Salazar was quite used to his wife's shifting so this one did not strike him as odd. Turning around to watch Kirai depart, he wait until she was out of hearing, or mental, distance and then looked back to Jackie. "So, we meet again." He had just a slight smirk on his face, seeing Kirai storm off like that was a little amusing to him.

The large cat sighed, shifting to human once Kirai's scent dulled. She kept her back to him, was unaware the brand on her shoulder had started to bleed poison from her actions against Nature's priestess.. turning her dirty t-shirt a murky red color over her left shoulder blade. She didnt care about the pain, anyway.. a part of herself was protective of the woman, then that part of her would die. Resolved in that matter she turned and folded her arms over her chest, hair wild from the shift. " I did not choose my family, nor do i claim them.. if you become upset by such a thing then fine, but be aware where i stand in the matter." It was clear, she had been thinking this over on the way here.. it upset her to realize his reaction had hurt her, she wanted this stubborn male to realize his error. Penelo turned, leaning against a headstone as a sweat broke out on her brow. She was feeling sick, wanted their conversation over before she became physically ill. " Do not assume i am connected to these creatures willingly, or i Will shoot you again. that is all."

Frowning she reached back akwardly, bringing her hand to her view and sniffing it. It was dead blood.. she had not even felt something touch her. Her heart stuttered and she froze, nodding stiffly. " i must have hurt myself earlier.. i am always running into things." Under her shirt the brand had turned ragged, tearing itself out of her skin.. leaving only what appeared to be a X mark. silently she turned her back to him again, this time remaining still as she felt the place burn. " What is it?"

"maybe thats none of you business." i say in a casual tone walking out from underneath a shadowy tree. "you shouldnt go prying into other peoples lives." i say with a warning look.

i snort "i dont care if you have half her soul inside of you...there are some things that are meant to be kept secret..." with that i walk close. "but if you really must now, i think i know whats going on here." i say in a matter of fact voice.

" Please, do not argue." Any other time she would have joined it for fun, but.. she couldnt so much as chuckle with the worry filling her. Turning she laid a soothing hand on Salazar's shoulder, forcing a half-hearted smile to her lips as she looked at the new comer. " Thinking is grand, but knowing is something quite different.. Either way, it is not your place to speak of my troubles." She said it gently, meaning only to end the topic.. though not even she could keep the slight wince hidden as her shoulder twinged. She would tell him, he had asked.. but how to explain without him rejecting her again? it truely was a mess..

you look at her, but when you look back up i am in front of you. "i know just the thing to get your spirits up!" i say with a warm smile "but a trip to the bar sounds great!"

"well crap...i wanted to help her. 'ya know? i also specialize in those types of wounds...here, ill go after her" with that i flit out of the gate and soon i am easily keeping pace with her. we run for a while until i quietly ask. "would you like some help with that?"
