Well to start off I know what happens when many things go bad or (Expire).
Orange Juice for example: like vineagar, and gets really nasty green mold like carpet.
Oh, and Milk OMG is aweful. Stinking chucky stuff.
Well for the werid stuff, people dont dress correctly for Grocery Store. Sometimes *NOT ENOUGH CLOTHES*, I once found a Cucumber in a Bath Room (NOT GOING TO GUESS WHAT FOR.)
Things like Time (Errors), working and look at my watch and it is only like a few minutes work along emptying boxes for about 2 feet and looking again at my watch and an hour or two just went by.

@ giesta - After those descriptions I'm glad I don't buy oj and milk. Blech.
The cuke in the bathroom. ROTFL
There's a time warp in the store?
Wow, now I'm glad I didn't get a job at a grocery store. I was in the employees only area of a Food Lion (do you have those?) filling out an application. A dude who worked there came over to me and said it was a horrible place to work and mentioned a few things. No cucumbers in the bathrooms, but bad enough. I got up and left.
@ unspoken word - what do you know about grocery store weirdness?

You dont drink Milk or O.J.?
Yeah, cucumber was funny (Guy's Bathroom) eek
Yeah, I think all it was was just working and not paying attention to the clock/watches.
The job is fairly simple, but some grocery stores really suck. Food Lion is sadly one of those, no-one here gets enough Hours worked to make any decient check every week from our Food Lion.
Yes, I would like to Hear UnspokenWord's experiences, its neat to hear from someone who has grocery store stories as well. ^8^

*gasp* The cuke was in the guy's bathroom?!!!!
I suspect Food Lion and other employers hire lots of people and give them less than full time hours so they don't have to give them benefits like medical coverage, sick pay and paid vacation. It's cost effective, I guess. And mean.
Nope I don't drink oj unless I squeeze the oranges myself. The kind in the containers tastes funny to me.
Nope I don't drink milk at all. I substitute soy milk.

Yes, 3nodding It is kinda stayed a big joke between everyone at the Grocery Store where I used to work.
I think so, it never really was a particularly good store to work at from what I have been told.
Neat 3nodding I have always wondered exactly how does Milk become Soy Milk? its mixed some how or treated a certain way?

Giesta Neat 3nodding I have always wondered exactly how does Milk become Soy Milk? its mixed some how or treated a certain way? Actually soy milk is kinda misnamed. There's no milk in it at all. When you cook and squeeze soy beans, out comes a white milky liquid. Soy milk is a good substitute for milk... in cereal, in baking and really good in egg nog. lol Note that egg nog sometimes has no egg. And no nog either. The Silk brand makes flavored soy milk -- strawberry, vanilla and chocolate -- for drinking by the glass.

You never tried Silk? You might like it. A lot of people have trouble digesting milk. I'm one of them
