"Insufferable, arrogant- Ugh!" Camille screamed, walking to a wall and moving as though to pound her head against, stopping a moment before. She pressed her head against it, groaned, pulled back, and brushed a strand of blonde hair from her face. "How did those assassins even know he was here!? Argh!" She punched the wall, armor of golden light denting it. "Rose, prepare a hovertruck, we're moving out before something else goes wrong."

"Hey, Isaac. Thanks for backing me up there. Like Triton said, they probably would've gassed my cell and I couldn't have done anything about that," Dremmeur Sai commented without looking back.

Isaac nearly tripped when he received the compliment. "I, uhh...thanks, Sai. I mean, you're welcome. Thanks for saving our asses after I let you out. And uhh...yeah."
He was blushing furiously.

Sai shook his head. "You could've taken them without me. They were amateurs. They didn't even know what they were doing, didn't have anyone watch the door, nothing. I think they might've been fiddling around looking for how to gas my cell when you interrupted, and any good assassin should've known that in advance." He paused, looked around, and headed for some stairs. "The dining commons should be this way...." he murmured; it seemed he was very familiar with the embassy's layout.

"Y-y-yeah," Isaac said, then took a deep breath. "Yeah. I'm good. Just a bit...well, shaken up. That was p-pretty intense." He tried to repress that stammer, but it slipped out.
"There was a Lucifex in there, man. Right there, a foot away." Isaac had stored the feather in a pouch on his belt. He stroked it now.

"One of the creepy ones, I presume?" Sai asked. "I can handle the crazy ones. What's worse is the... the ones that can do what they did, that can efface another being, not just its body and life but its very soul... the ones that can do that and still act like rational beings... that. That's what scares me. Not the ones that have no idea what they're doing anymore, but the ones who know exactly what they're doing." He shuddered. "There's something... so wrong about those ones...."

"Uhh." Isaac hesitated. "It was...one of those scary ones. He knew. And...he said something about 'the Path,' and that they wanted you alive. I don't know what he meant."

"We know a little about the Path," Sai replied, sensing that Isaac wanted to know more. "Not much, though. It seems to be an association of Lucifex and cultists who worship Lucifer, believing him to be some manner of 'Liberator.' A lot of demons-major swear by their teachings even if they don't join them. As for why they want me alive... I can scarcely imagine. Maybe it was just to screw over the Akai Ryu cultists."

"I see..." Isaac sank into silence. He followed along behind Sai, oblivious to all the stares.

Ty squirmed a little in Sai's grasp before realizing why he was being pulled away and calming himself. He looked down at his work as he stood, and managed to wipe his bloody claws on the man's shirt before Isaac tossed him away.
The politics flew straight over his head, so Ty took the opportunity to tuck the feather behind his ear. It contrasted his blond hair with a pleasant sharpness. Sure, it was practically flagging himself for a second encounter, but honestly, who wouldn't want to see Maratriel again?
He ended up following Isaac and Sai towards the dining hall - dining was always good. So was being around Sai. Association with power was awesome.
Once there was a break in conversation, he felt he had to ask: "So who are the Akai Ryu? They're not really... useful."

"Cultists. They believe that free will is an illusion and we all follow the designs of a divinity they call The Slavemaker. It's a load o' bollocks. They're all nuts," Sai replied dismissively. "Only been one divinity worth talkin' about, or so the demons-major say, and he's been gone for millennia...."

"Path? They say a lot of things, most gibberish. Anyone who worships a Lucifex - or Lucifer - is crazy. The demons-major are talking about some 'Jehovah' guy; supposedly, that's the name of a divinity who created all life. The Path is crazy, but the demons-major just might know what they're talking about since they were there...." Sai trailed off. "But it's all speculation anyway."
