Conor had been staring down at the field, images and thoughts of his parents and the accidents playing over and over in his head. He could not stop thinking about the car accident his father had been in and how it might have happened. He knew it was a four car pile up, what had happened? Was his father driving drunk? It was reported on the news that alcohol had been involved in the accident. But, the memories he had of his father pointed away from him being the one who was intoxicated. His father was a great man, with so much respect and honor.
Conor noticed the boy standing next to him and was a little startled, he had not heard him come up since his music had been turned up so loud. He pulled his ear phones out and placed them on the bleachers next to him. "Hey I'm Conor, can I help you? Sorry I didn't hear ya there, had the music blasting pretty loud." Dear Maria, Count Me In by All Time Low was playing still on the bleachers, Conor picked his iPod up and stopped it.
He turned back towards the boy, awaiting his response, his thoughts of his mother and fathers accidents still rolling through his mind. He needed to stop thinking about that. This is perfect, don't ******** this up Conor. You need a friend.

Some of those that burn crosses //:Archimedes Primus++ . . . Devon's eyebrow rose almost to his hairline as he watched the liquid metal seep through Rico's clothes. It felt strange against his hand as he shook it, but strange in a good way. As a technopath, his powers based largely around metal; Rico being a metal manipulator, he couldn't help but feel like they shared a connection. Not in a creepy romance novel type way, though; that would be creepy. He meant it in a poetic way, he supposed. They belonged to the same circle. Almost like a crime-fighting team, like Cloak and Dagger. This made him smirk.
At the mention of being a trouble maker, Devon smirked wider. "I prefer to think of it as... normalcy control. Can't have too much peace, can we?" It was a convoluted logic, but somehow made sense in his mind. Screw the authority indeed. They screwed him, so he couldn't help but feel like they deserved the same tenfold. And this kid wasn't disapproving or being admonishing, or acting like a ditz like that Mitsukai girl. A pretty cool guy, Devon surmised. "So what brings you to this side of the galaxy?" he asked smoothly, referring to why he approached Devon in the first place. Was it simply to complement him on his mischievousness, or did he have something else on his mind? Rico didn't seem like the type to waste time on pleasantries unless he had a deeper purpose.

CoryCory instantly felt awkward, he didn’t like repeating himself. He could go back to his depressing thoughts about her, or talk to this new guy. At least he got a name, Conor. “I wanted to know if I could sit with you. You looked kind of lonely, so I figured why not make a new friend.” Cory said and mentally hit himself on the head for sounding like an idiot. He should have left the kid alone. Maybe he could transform into a dog and run around campus and relax. But no, he put himself in a awkward situation.
Cory scanned the field, and looked at Mitsukai again. She seemed to be explaining to him something, something that made her happy. Though he couldn’t see her well enough, she was a good distance away. Cory felt bad knowing what she was going through. Her ex was back and so was her crush’s. But maybe they’d be good. Maybe not. Either way this wasn’t his business and he needed to stop thinking about it.
((Yay! Drakie, did you have fun with you're Bf? I hope so biggrin

Conor stared at him for a second as he looked out at the couple across the field. "Take a seat man. I don't think I caught your name." Conor laughed and moved his bag down, making some room for the new boy to sit down. He was moved at the way he was looking at the couple and was trying to decide if he should ask him about them. Maybe he shouldn't, it might be a sore subject, but he could tell by the way he looked at them he didn't like it. Maybe he loved her and she just didn't see it, or didn't appreciate it.
Conor smirked, he had never had a relationship with anyone before. He didn't know how the boy felt and even if he did talk to him he didn't think he would be able to say anything that would help him. He didn't want to make things worse for him, so he decided he would talk to him about it later, once they became better friends. He didn't want to mess up any chance he had with becoming friends with anyone at the moment.
((Anberlin is pretty good, they have some shitty songs, but they also have some really good ones!)) ((edit: yeah IDkid is fine :p )) ((edit2 (lol) : or you can just call me lindsay. thats my name by the way haha (; ))

CoryCory took a seat next to the Conor. “I’m Cory.” He said and smiled. Cory tried to think of a good conversation starter. “Soo, what’s you’re power?” Cory asked. It was an appropriate question at this school. He thought about some of the kids at his old school, then the reason he got kicked out. Things we’re simpler there. Cory turned off his iPod and put it in his pocket, better to save the battery.

Conor smiled, "Nice to meet ya Cory. The name's Conor." He sat back a little in his seat, leaning back against the bleachers. The question made him think of the accident with his mother again. He shook it out of his mind and glanced back over to Cory, who was waiting patiently for his response. "I'm a telepathic, kind of i guess, I can't really control it at all right now, especially when I get emotional, then s**t goes crazy!"
Conor laughed again and pulled a book out of his backpack. He grabbed a pen out of one of his side pockets and wrote down, Today's date.... 35 pounds... He kept a record of how much weight he was lifting with his mind.

CoryCory smiled. He knew a few telepaths. They we’re fun when they got their power under control. “Hmm, I’m a shape shifter, you name it and I can turn into it.” Cory said and smiled. He got his power mostly under control. His old school was one of the best schools in the country to help powers.
He noticed the boy was writing something. “What cha writing?” Cory asked, not wanting to be noisy. But he was curious. Cory looked around the field, trying to ignore the urge to look over at Mitsukai. He did need to get over her. But if Thorne hurt her, Cory was turning into a lion and biting his head off, literally. Maybe that was a tad mean, but he didn’t care.

Conor glanced over at him as he closed the small book, bound by its black leather cover. He then lifted his hands off of it, leaving it on his lap. He concentrated hard for a moment, then lifted it off his lap and shifted it into his bag. He smiled and then answered Cory's question.
"It is my log of how much weight I carry around, I carried my bags into the school today with my powers and they weighed around thirty five to forty pounds. So I wrote it down." Conor laughed and zipped up his bag, placing back down at his feet. His goal was reach one ton by the time he graduated here, he wanted to be able to lift a car.
((Idk really, I just don't really like it haha. ))

~Jet Brody~
O, it is excellent to have a giant's strength, but it is tyrannous to use it like a giant.
"Advanced Power Control?" He asked, raising his eyebrow. Student teacher, eh? She would probably be hired on next year. If he was lucky, his job would end soon, besides a few small things.
Jet sat there staring blankly at his books. What did this all mean? he couldn't understand any of it. For thirty minutes, he stared. Getting nothing and writing nothing down. Right as he was about to shut the book, an answer came to him. Then another, and another, and another! Answers and information came pouring into his head. As he was in the middle of writing an answer, a loud knock came to his door.
The highest proof of virtue is to possess boundless power without abusing it. Rico Stexel
The belief in a supernatural source of evil is not necessary; men alone are quite capable of every wickedness.
Chuckling at the sound of it, Rico thought of it. Normalcy control. It was the same philosophy he had before, but put into much better terms. He believed he would much enjoy working with this guy. If all things worked together, that is. The hand of metal that he had made soaked back into his body.
"That's exactly what brought me over here, Archimedes," Rico answered, understanding exactly what he meant, though not all would. "I think we should do more 'normalcy control' around here. This place is rather dull and we should liven it up. Let the faculty know that the students are in charge."
Tell me something, my friend. You ever dance with the devil by the pale moonlight? ~Coop Enders~
Jealousy is the tribute mediocrity pays to genius.
Coop wondered down the halls, searching for the room number Jet was in. It was right down this way, he knew it. Three doors, two doors, one more. This one. Jet was in there doing homework right now. He knocked sharply three times.
The door opened and Jet had a very shocked look on his face. "Hey buddy!" Coop said with a large smile, rubbing the top of his head and walking into the room nonchalantly, plopping onto the bed.
"Wha-? How're ... why're you hear?" Jet stammeringly asked.
Coop chuckled. "I have powers too, duh," He replied.
Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds.

Every artist dips her brush in her own soul... I am Aura
Aura smiled, "Yes that is what the class is called.. Though to be honest I didn't really actually think it meant actual powers..." she sighed a little, "I actually thought it just meant something like learning to handl the stress of teaching or something.. Kinda like Power Yoga."
...and paints her own nature into her pictures.

Kyuubi walked down the hall to the lunchroom. He noticed a few student were still there. He grabbed a quick lunch and sat down alone at an empty table. He began going over all the possibilities. 'Satori could go for a head on attack, but he would fail is he went alone. He could try to sneak into the castle and take out the most powerful gaurds from there, impossible no one would be able to get in the castle without the gaurds knowing.' Kyuubi sat barely eating thinking over many possibilities.

CoryCory smiled at the guy. “That’s a really good exercise.” Cory said and smiled. This guy was smart. “That’s the exact type of exercise advance power control gives.” Cory said, remembering the things the telepaths had to do in class. He missed his old school honestly.
“So, where did you hear about the school?” Cory said realizing that the boy was obviously a first year. Might as well get to know as much of his power stuff as possible. Cory remembered his first year. He transformed into animals without meaning to. And when he needed to, he either couldn’t or transformed into a different animal than he was supposed to or an unreal animal.

((Sorry I was at a family reunion all weekend! )) Conor thought about his remark for a moment, So they have a class specifically for my power? That is excellent. Conor smiled and leaned back against the bleachers. "Well, I was kind of just sent here by my grandmother, one of her friends has a grandson here." Conor sighed, man how he missed grandma. She was everything he had left, if anything happened to that woman Conor would go nuts.
Conor thought of the day he arrived at his grandmother's house, he had only met her once before, after his father's death in the car accident they stopped visiting relatives. His mother started to keep to herself a lot, even in the most difficult of times. Even though Conor missed his mother very much, he still loved his grandmother and enjoyed staying with her, even if she was not the most interesting of people.
