RosesFallingLikeRain Thank you, I think most of those options would be a good idea. Except I'm pretty sure the shot is not offered in Canada. I'll talk to my doctor, and my mom and see about the ring or the patch, though. Thank you! It is, though I would go with the ring, patch or pill because of the side effects of the shot. Which are depression, weight gain, and a lot more.

Ah, the last sex ed clas I took said it wasn't available in Canada. That was two years ago, though.
Eep. I think you're right. The shot doesn't sound too good for me.

The significant loss in bone density is what really worries me about Depo, and the fact that the FDA does not recommend it for teens or young women, or to be used for periods longer than 2 years unless you have no other BC options... In general, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless they have thoroughly done their research and are prepared to take extra supplements to counteract the damage that it's doing. Nuvaring is a much better option IMO.

I'm hoping this won't screw up the entire topic from all the errors and crap. Assuming the person still has one, are they able to see their hymen?

Well they all look a little different, but it's usually a flap of membrane that covers part (or all) of the v****a.

Is anyone else currently in a sex education or health course that discusses sex? (middle school, high school, or college level) It's my favorite class, and it keeps reminding me why I want to teach people about sex.

Oh goodness, -I can't believe I read this thread through from first post to last, in one sitting.. Very interesting & educational though, lulz, I think I learned more from this topic than sex ed in highschool.. ;D Um, unfortunately I don't have any questions at the moment. A couple ones I'd thought of during the read I saw were answered, so I give my thanks.. P:

Eliza Rose ]I am no pro or anything I barely know anything about it. But I heard being really flexible and doing sports like gymnastics can also break it. If that's true or not I have no idea, it's just what I heard. My gynecologist told me that I probably broke my hymen doing wrestling. I'm pretty sure that this is true.

Even horse back riding can break it. A lot of things can break it really.

Ofelia1802 got a question about the day after pill...does it work? like what are the chances that it will work? Well they're a lot higher if you don't take it. It's as effective as the pill. It's like taking two of them in one day, so you have that extra boost to make sure you don't.
