"Not a problem," Penance said to Rachael and placed the order. That was only a short time before Tetsuo passed out cold on the floor.

"The kid didn't drink that much to have that reaction," Porter all but jumped out of his seat, "I'm getting him back to the Institute."

The year on the road gave Porter an edge with his abilities he used to not have. Because he knew he could get away with it, he made eye contact with each and every one of the men laughing and gave them the overwhelming feeling of sympathy. He could have made them all sad or afraid or any other emotion. But he wanted them to feel bad. So he did. A year ago, he wouldn't have done such a thing. Times change.

He put an arm around Tetsuo's waist and hefted him up, "I'll be back with the car. Those guys should be no more trouble."

Penance saw the look that Porter gave them men. Her gut told her he used his powers on them. The group sat silently mulling over their drinks.

"Come on, let's liven the place up then... no disrespect to Tetsuo but we need to draw attention away from the incident," Penance pulled some change out of her pocket and went to pop some quarters into the juke box.

Gen cried out in alarm, but silenced herself before she made too much more of a scene than there already was. She tailed Porter out. "I feel responsible, I gave him a drink. I'm going too... At least to apologize."

~Good job Gen... give someone that's never had a drink before...~ she thought, mad at herself and hoping that Tetsuo didn't hate her for it. They had just met that day, what a terrible first impression...

Regina watched them go, feeling for Gen. "Yeah.... let's liven things up..." she repeated, but not really feeling it. She wanted mroe to go with them and make sure the young man was alright.

"Probably knock out drops..." Cathy said before grabbing the nearest person to dance with. That person was Jamie. "Come on sugar, I'm in a dancing mood and you're me partner..." She was already dragging him off before he could so much as open his mouth.

Rachael cheerfully sat at the bar munching her chips and salsa. She spotted Cathy dragging Jamie to the dance floor. "Awww....." She started to say until she caught the look in Penny's eyes. "Uh-oh?" She said. "Could be trouble..." She then spotted Raze. "Hmmmm......" Ideas were forming as she crunched another chip. whee

Penance thought it was somewhat humorous when Jamie got dragged out to dance and couldn't help but comment, "She'll eat him alive."

"So," Penance said, "So much to say and not even sure where to begin tonight. How are things at the Institute? Are the teams even together still?"

"Interesting," Penance answered. She would have to look into it tomorrow, "I guess I need to find me a job to do soon at the Institute. You can only run around the hallways so many times before getting tired of them."

"I assume everybody has been holding up without being able to go back to Bayville? all the good teachers were mutants anyway," Penance smiled.

Penance sipped her beer, "That's a nice scare tactic. There's no such thing as a mutant detector."

"They just tell you they're there and try to pick out people who might be mutants by security camera," Penance pretended to poitn to cameras in the ceiling, "There are very few instances of mutant detectors, and they're almost unaffordable to any regular business."

Unfortunately, she knew of reports of robots who could scan people and tell they were mutants. That was highly unlikely to be installed at the local Bayville Malls.

"Yea, Rachael, I'm sure of it," Penance nodded and put her beer down, "I don't remember a lot, but I do remember somethings about the world through Jade's eyes. Mutant scare tactics were talked about alot. It's just profiling. You may have looked suspicious so they nailed you for it. It's what they used to do at airports."

Penance looked at her watch, "Last call will be soon. Come on, let me show you a few steps before we get kicked out for the night."

"Nobody out there is coordinated at the moment," Penance said and motioned around, "They're all too drunk to care anyway."

"Here, just try to keep your feet on the ground and move your hips," Penance put her hands on Rachael's hips and tried to get her to move with the music, "Worry about one thing at a time."
