"I'm just not on for flings, and most girls their ages are." He wasn't oblivious to things, he just didn't like to acknolwedge them...besides he had enough jealousy problems when it came to Lhia. "Grand. I'll be able to dance with confidence with you as my partner. I may be getting on in years but I can still be fun." Chuckling, "Besides, I don't think Vale will be attending. He's quite enjoying his little vacation."

"Yeah I'll come. I'm already packed up and what not before I droped by. Just have to change before we go. Meanwhile I have something to talk to Kieran about while you girls pretty up."

This was all happening so fast. "You think my parents will let me?" They let her hang out with Lharika because they trusted her and Kieran with their lives. This was new people. "A-are we going to the palace then?"

Patting at her hand he gave her a grin. "That's because I'm in excellent shape, if I do say so myself." Getting himself up as well and gathering things he followed her back into the office. "No, you can't. But this is a good thing, I think. He's come a long way. Why don't you head on back for the day, do whatever it is you women do for these things? You're still on vacation after all."

She gave a shy little nod to her answers, as they were reassuring but she was still hesitant about it all. Letting Lark start leading her off though she tried to give a bolder smile. "No worries."

Tyyrael was dressed in his best. Marking himself not only as Brigade Master but also as as Master Rune Mage. He worse silver trimmed in a deep night sky blue. Simple tunic overlaid by a complex designed but elegant surcoat with a mantel covering his shoulders. A deep blue half cape handing from his shoulders, and matching pantsof the same silver fabric tucked into boots that had obviously been shined up for the occassion. He'd decided against gloves tonight, letting the tattoos on the backs of his hands show as well. After all...poor rank gainers were going to have sore hands tonight, and there would be no hand shaking.

He'd decided to leave his dark hair down, letting it do what it wanted around his face and shoulder than pulling it back out of the way as usual. A few tugs and such to make sure he was presentable and he started from his room and down the stairs, waiting for Lhia.

"I'm staying here. I remember how it was to rank and the whole ceremony that went with it. Just a bunch of sore hands and flirting. I think I'd rather stay here. My arm is kind of bothering me tonight anyway, not good for dancing."

Are came out from behind the little dressing screen in the room, holding the hem of her dress in one hand and her slightly heeled slippers in the other. She was indeed dressed in red that matched her eyes, an off the shoulder silky gown that clung to her upper body and flared outward to her ankles. Little purple crystals accented along the upper and lower hems of the dress with a few scattered inbetween and an purple sash cinched her middle to bring it all together. "I tilt forward too much in these..." Even her boots had no heel at all to them. Oh she felt so funny.

"Ice, heat, elevation, food, don't break things, link. I'll be fine. You enjoy yourself. Don't get all tipsy though." Giving a snicker snort before settling with his book once more.

She certinally was a vision coming down the stairs and he wasn't hiding that opinion from his eyes or the smile that tugged at his lips either. "Uniform, casual, formal...you just happen to make everything look beautiful, don't you?" Offering her his hand down the last few steps of stairs before offering his arm. "Indeed ready. I thought we'd take Serill tonight. No sense in making you walk and dirty you up."

Leading her outside then to where the chestnut colored zephyr was waiting patiently. He helped her mount up side saddle for the sake of her dress before mounting up behind her and taking the horse's reins. "Unfortunately, we can't be fashionably late. Brigade Master issues, you know." Giving a little chuckle before a light kick to the horse to get him moving along.

She looked her friend up and down. Lharika has always been pretty before, but now she was even prettier the way she was dressed. Looking down at herself in awkward fashion she bit her lip at Lark's assesment before taking the shoes and slipping them on...well at least she didn't tilt forward anymore. Slight as that tilt may have been. Unlike Lharika, she didn't have any jewelry or anything and her hair was still the same as before. This was so over her head. "I feel weird."

"Hm, me neither. I just try hard. Sometimes I'm surprised I can dress myself out of uniform and look decent most of the time." Chuckling at himself as they continued at their moderately leisurely pace. "Besides, you can always go mingle while I start the official things. Just because you're allowing me the pleasure of having you as a dance partner doesn't mean you have to be glued and bored at my side all evening." Ears twitching at the voices, noise, and music that could already be heard.

She gave a spin, followed promptly by a noise and her frantically trying to keep the fabric down from where it had naturally flared with the motion. Was that supposed to happen. "Do we have to do anything special there?"

A knock at the door and he gave a grin. "Are you two going to take all night to pretty up? Much as I would love let you, Rodell wanted to see me before things started."

"Yes, they've come along nicely...and I suspected that you'd want to give those three your own attention. No worries, you're here to have fun among other things." Reaching the ground of headquarters, he dismounted and helped her down, letting someone on duty take his horse while of gave Lhia is arm once more, heading into the ceremony hall with her. Which he was immediately sprung upon by a few elves who were running this whole event. Turning to Lhia he gave her a little bow, and took her hand in his, pressing a kiss to the back of it. "Go mingle some. I'll handle the bones of this all."

"I'm calling that an all's clear." Thusly opening the door and smiling at the two. "Well well, aren't I blessed by the sight of the most beautiful girls in the land. They beauty as blinded me."

To which she gave an alarmed noise and looked over to Lark. "We did what?!"

He blinked, confused for a moment. Did she just take that literally? Clearing his throat to ease the awkward from that he chuckled lightly, "Joking aside, come along ladies." Offering them each an arm before leading them out to his horse. "No worries, he's good for the three of us."

Most of the ceremony was spent explaining thing to Arealin quietly, not that he minded. Heck, he only knew it because his friend had told him. Which the three were now talking to the man who was complaining over bandaged hands. "Oh come on, you've had worse things happen. You're still good for some dancing right? I would hate to have Lark's friend stand around like a wallflower. If you're being too much of a baby though, I'll just have to take it into my own hands and dance with them both."

He spent the ceremony giving speeches, passing out ranking rights, and all such things that came with that. Then it was the speaking to parents, important elves, anyone that accosted him really. Not that all his attention was on them as it kept drifting his eyes around the room. Able to break from duty for a while he meandered over to her. "Already putting down roots to bloom?"
