Grace smiled, her freckles glowing in the sunlight. Dropping her books, she ran towards her friend, her long, black hair flowing behind her.
"Yeah!" she cried, a smile bursting from within her.

Angel gasps and runs towards her and hugs her. "I- oh my GOSH I can't believe your here! H- how did you get here?" Angel squeels in delight to see her long time best friend.

Grace giggled. Unable to contain her delight a moment longer, she hugs her friend and explains.
"When you left, I... well... you know! I got lonely. And this christmas, Ma wrapped up a ticket down here to Japan, and enrolled me here!"

"No... WAY!" Angel screams. "Thats so awesome!!" she says with her rare smile glowing. "Tell your father I said thank you," she said in a sleezy, joking voice as she laughed at herself. "You should so room in with me! I've been waiting for a spontanious visit from a friend!" Angel laughs with a sense of glee.

"Totally!" Grace shouted, finally feeling the burden of lonliness slipping away. "I just need my luggage..."
Her smile faded, as a darkened look crossed her face.

She grimaced then hid it quickly, hoping her friend hadn't seen.

Angel leans over to look pass grace. "What are the books for?" she says, blinking at Gracie.

Grace blushed. "Well... Thats the thing," she started, eyes misting in embarrassment.
"I had to get in on a scholorship... It was this or a boarding school back home."
"So I need to stdy
The embarrassment of being poor was too much for her to handle, and she started crying.

"But didn't you hear? My uncle was kicked off the thrown by the radicals."
Grace's face darkened, as she relayed the sad news.
"Therefore, we have been stripped of our money, valuables and estate, as the law says. Its a miracle we scraped enough money together to get me enrolled, scolorship or not."

She gasps as she let the news soak.
"No! I didn't hear about that. My father was too busy getting me away from Demetri to let me even talk to people
and get the news! I couldn't even go outside to get the mail," she says, higging her best friend.
"I'm so sorry!"

She sniffled. "Its fine, its fine. I just have to keep my grades up, and I can stay. Oh, and I could room with you, right? I couldn't afford an apartment downtown."

"Duh! I'm not letting my friend live in the gutter. I'll help you pay for food and stuff at lunch if you need it," Angel says, watching her friend go through so much pain.

Grace smiled. Family, boys, school may change, but friends would always be there for her. Friends like Angel.
"Aww thanks!" she said, hugging her friend.
"This is gonna be loads of fun! I can just tell," she cried, as her eyes, two polished river stones, shined bright and happy.
