((Sa-wEEt!))

The Harbinger walked down a hallway, the demons seeming to flock to where the most damage had been done. Those that saw him and charged were grabbed by their skulls and thrown to the ground lifelessly. As the Harbinger both of his arms had sharp golden claws and the strength to crush granite. Inside Michael was walking next to the Harbinger. For once they were allies instead of mortal enemies. When they worked together, they were stronger than anything that could exist on the planet. They knew this, and when the time came to destroy one another, they wouldn't hold back out of honor. Though wanting to vanquish evil, Michael respected those that helped him. And while craving the blood of innocent, the Harbinger respected power that could match it's own. It was a sick kind of respect.

Michael walked into a large room, almost a form of coliseum. There were enough seats for hundreds of people, and the ground was spattered with blood, stained a deep black. The smell of rot and iron hung in the air like the large burning lanterns from the ceiling. Michael could sense several strong foes, one on each side, and one in front of him. All of them were imbued with a huge amount of darkness and evil. Slowly, a large stone door in front of him opened. Out walked a giant black beast with read eyes. It had the torso of a man, but the legs and head of a bull. A Hell Minotaur, giant in size and power with glowing red eyes. It stood there with a giant stone pillar. The ground shook as it approached, and when it’s pillar hit the ground, the whole room dropped dust and dried blood from the ceiling. Michael smiled as the Harbinger gave him an odd look.

Time to test your strength Harbinger!” a loud voice thundered from the left. There was a pounding of a large weapon on the ground.

Hold nothing back! Let the darkness flow through your veins!” a second voice said from his right. It was female and sounded almost seductive.

The minotaur roared and pounded it’s leg on the ground while it raised the pillar over it’s head. It swung it downward, instantly going for a kill. Michael dodged it by sliding his left leg behind him and leaning back a bit. Inside the Harbinger went to grab more control when Michael held it back.

I’ll handle this one.” he said sternly. The Harbinger wanted to rip the flesh from the minotaur’s bones, but it was curious as to Michael’s intentions. Never had a mortal stood so strongly in front of such overpowering odds. The Harbinger was ruthless and rash, but wasn’t stupid. It wanted to know it’s enemies before it slaughtered them without mercy. Michael was one he had to know perfectly to defeat. The girl could be used against him and give the Harbinger the opening it needed, but something was different about him now. Something had changed.

And it wanted to watch and find out what.

((on what? the Generals? I thought you would like them. Or Ashe's outfit?))

Ashe sighed, already getting upset at her situation. The serving girl walked over and asked, "Do you wish to be moved, my Lady?"
"No. I'm fine here."
The girl nodded and went back to her seat.
Ashe closed her eyes again and fell into a light sleep.

~~~
Shiango made his way towards the room where Ashe was kept. He was smiling, which wasn't much of a good sign. The servants moved out of his way as soon as the saw him coming.
Suddenly he stopped as a thought came to him. My guest must be hungry... He caught a poor, unsuspecting servant and told him to go and fetch a meal. The unfortunate servant asked what room to bring it to and Shiango replied, "The room with the guest. The room directly above the chapel." The servant nodded, shaking, and ran off to complete the task.
That done, Shiango continued towards the room.
~~~

The Minotaur roared as it's opponent side stepped it's attack. It's weapon was on the ground with it's opponent too close to fully dodge. It smirked, a grotesque look on it's bull head, and swung the pillar at Mike, sending him flying towards the seats. Using the momentum of the swing, the Minotaur brought it's pillar up to it's shoulders and waited for the dust to clear.

((Heh, both.))

Michael sat like a true demon king would, totally relaxed with his arms out to his side and relaxed. He was partially stuck in the wall due to the impact. He hadn't anticipated the backswing, and although the blow didn't hurt, he slid across the pillar and slipped off, slamming into the wall hard. The dust was almost like a smokescreen, centuries of grime and dirt and cobwebs were hanging in the air almost indefinitely. The Harbinger stared at Michael, giving him a look of loathing and embarassment. Michael shot the look back.

It was a blink of an eye. Michael went from moving slightly, his wings and body peeling off the wall when he suddenly appeared on the opposing wall, causing it to buckle and make a crater. His left hand was driven deep into the wall. The minotaur was frozen for a moment, not sure of what had happened. Suddenly there was a sound of a breeze, and five long black blades of flames traced a line to Michael's left hand, going right across the minotaur's throat. Time stopped for a moment as the four creatures stared in awe. Blood erupted from the minotaur's head along with a groundshaking high-pitched cry. It was a little more than a flesh wound, but the beast had now gone into a panic: it's enemy could move and strike faster than it could imagine.

Michael let go of the wall and landed softly. He was right by one of the generals, the large brute of a man. He swung his fists at what he thought was the Harbinger, but Michael easily just deflected his blows as if he could see them in slow motion. The general leapt back as Michael noticed the minotaur's pillar not far above his head. Again it was an easy dodge, but Michael pulled himself ontop of the pillar and ran across it towards the minotaur. He could have moved faster, but he wanted the minotaur to fear him and do his work for him.

The minotaur saw the demon running down on him, his grin so sick only the Forsaken could have shown it. It spun the pillar in it's hand, but the demon jumped and spun horizontally, landing on the pillar once it stopped moving. In a last ditch effor the minotaur pulled it's fist back and swung. The demon leapt onto it's arm and jumped forward, grabbing it's horn and yanking it's head back. The minotaur went crazy: the demon on it's head could tear off it's skull. It could hear it's wings flapping as the demon yanked it's head back and forth. It swung it's pillar in desperation, unknowingly nearly killing the female general.

Michael smiled wide as the Harbinger's eyebrows peaked in interest and curiosity. The minotaur was beserk, and would fight out of fear. If done correctly, Michael could weaken his enemies, saving up his strength for the one pulling the strings of these puppets.

((Mike, you perv...Now I'll have to figure something out...))

Shiango walked into the room where Ashe was kept. He found her asleep at the window and the maid mending Ashe's clothing. The maid looked up, and stood up in a hurry, upsetting the chair. "Sir! I didn't expect you back so soon."
"No need to worry. I wasn't planing on coming." Shiango looked over at the sleeping Dragon and back at the maid.
"She didn't want to be moved, sir. You told me to follow her orders."
"I did. Get a table ready, I have another coming in with a meal for her."

The maid nodded and went to carry out his orders. Shiango walked over to the Dragon and knelt down to study her. My, my...The maid picked a nice little outfit for her. She's quite beautiful.

He was tempted to touch her, but thought about it. Last time he did she scratched him, he has the scares to show for it. He called the maid over once she was done and had her move Ashe to the chair.

~~~
Ashe woke when Shiango walked in, or at least, when the maid upset the chair. She opted to pretend to still be asleep as the two conversed. At the mention of food she realized how hungry she was. When was the last time we ate...? she thought.
She stiffened slightly as Shiango knelt down besides her. Not knowing what he was going to do. She let up when it was the maid who picked her up. Here she opened her eyes. "I thought I said I didn't want to be moved..." she mumbled, still pretending. "I'm sorry, My Lady. But Lord Shiango said to bring you to the table. Your food is here." She looked at the table and resided herself to be set down.
Another servant came in with the food and set the tray down on the table. Ashe smiled at the servant and then looked down at the food. She picked up a fork and started to eat, forgetting that Shiango was in the room.
~~~

The generals stood shocked at the Harbinger's actions with the Minotaur. The Vampire had moved at the last minute, or she would have been killed. She watched the Harbinger, studying his movements. He's different then the other times... she thought with a smile. I could use this. What she didn't know that there were two souls in the body.

The Dragon was growling. "He was so close..." he mumbled. But once he saw that the demon was busy with the Minotaur, and with it's back to him, he gave a sick smile. He rushed the two and jumped up to attack at the Harbinger's unprotected back.

The Wraith just hovered, watching.

((Sorry it took so long, hard to come up with an epic fight scene))

The minotaur swung it’s weapon back and forth as Michael yanked it’s head from side to side. The sixth sense of his surroundings let him feel that one of his opponents had tried to sneak up behind him. Michael gripped the minotaur’s right horn and swung around as the second general lowered his gigantic blade. Michael made sure the top of his foot kicked the blade so it spun, the broad side slamming down hard on the minotaur’s head. As Michael let go and landed on the wall, the minotaur realized something else was on it’s head, and now that it had stopped jerking back and forth it reached up and grabbed the small fleshy object and whipped it at the nearest wall. The general went straight through into one of the holding cells. Michael smiled as the minotaur sighed, thinking the demon had been finished.

Michael flew back and clutched onto the minotaur’s horn again, the surprise causing the beast to topple over and making Michael leap off. The pillar fell straight onto the minotaur’s skull, knocking it out cold. Michael stood on it’s chest, the giant behemoth breathing heavily. He raised his left claw, ready to finish it off when the rubble by the hole in the wall shifted. Out walked a dusty monster of a man.

Damn you demon. I don’t care if he wants you alive, you’re finished now!” The man grabbed his huge sword and leapt through the air. To be able to jump with such a big body and sword, he had to have darkness infused into his body. The Harbinger recognized the smell, as did Mike: he was a Dark Dragon. The general ripped his blade down, but a quick spin and a flick of his wrist let Michael strike it to the side, the blade getting stuck into the ground. Mike smiled both inside and out: this was easy. He swung his fist forward, but the general seized it with lightning speed, snapped it at the elbow, and threw him into the air before he knew what had happened. Michael slid against the ground when he landed, looking at his arm.

This guy is lightning fast with his hands, but slows down when he uses a blade.” he thought as he ripped his forearm back into a working position. He held his hand out in front of him as his blade appeared out of the Hellfire, the black metal twisting into a sickening scimitar. The two stared at each other for a moment before rushing in and engaging each other. Their blades made bright sparks in the dark room, illuminating there dark faces, the general’s filled with concentration and worry, Michael’s watchful and emotionless. The general managed to get a quick strike in, but the steel of his blade just screeched along the surface of his plated arms.

His blade is fast but cant cut into me without enough power behind them. His sword is his weakness!” Michael used his speed to his advantage, jumping back and forth and ducking under blows. He managed to contort his way over a strike while swinging his blade. It hit his opponent with all of his force, but all he managed to do was slice his skin.

He’s extremely powerful, I can’t even cut through him.” The general thrust his blade forward as Michael slammed his into the ground. The force behind the general’s blade was so great that it caused Michael’s sword to drag through the ground and tear up the floor. Michael pulled at his blade but didn’t get enough time to draw it out. The next thing he knew he was dodging short fast strikes from the general’s swords. The force behind them was weak, but if he was hit he’d be pierced and open for a more deadly, possibly fatal attack. However, he could use the attacks to go in for a kill.

The general was laughing as it seemed Michael was leaping back and forth to avoid the blade. He was positive the demon couldn’t stand up to much more. Suddenly there was a quick splatter of blood and the sound of screeching metal. He had sliced off his foe’s arm, he was sure of it! Suddenly a sharp bladed arm gripped his throat. The demon had used it’s own hand to splatter blood on the general, thinking he had done damage when it was really a ploy to throw him off. He was panicked that this could be the end, but he had one last trick up his sleeve.

Michael began to grip the general’s throat as he disarmed him, wanting him to feel death as it crept up on him. Suddenly he felt his skin go hard and scales start to form. The general was a Dark Dragon. Michael jumped back as the general transformed, growing as large as the minotaur. He let out a cry that shook the room. The noise made Michael’s head spin and vision blur as he covered his ears and cried out in pain. There was a quick whip from the dragon’s tail and Michael was again pressed into a wall. As Michael pulled himself out of the wall, angry that he had been sent into it again, he noticed the minotaur sitting up and coming too. The minotaur saw the dragon and went crazy. A demon and a dragon were in the room. Both had to be it’s enemies. The general turned to look at the minotaur when it was smacked upside by the pillar. The two behemoths began fighting each other. Michael just stood on the edge and smiled. He’d make his move soon as soon as both were worn out. The Harbinger was pleased at this turn of events too. The mortal he shared a body with was cunning. Respectable as far as a human was concerned.

((And what a fight it was. Sadly though, I can't think of much for Ashe and Shiango for now. Just one or two liners for them while I play with the generals. I'll leave the Dark Dragon to you.))

Ashe stopped eating as a roar shook the room. She looked over at the window to see where the sound came from. That sounded like a Dragon's roar. Are there more Dark Dragons here?

~

Shiango smiled at both the roar and Ashe's confusion. So the Harbinger is fighting him...The Harbinger will win, but the Dragon will definitely tire him out What he didn't know was that the Harbinger was watching the fight between the Minotaur and the Dragon.

~

The Vampire smiled, baring her fangs in a wicked grin. "Now that the idiot's busy I can take care of the Harbinger." She made her way over to the demon, almost gliding across the dirty ground. Once there she started to 'attack'.

"Why do you fight? Look at the army around you. You can control all of these little peons if you wish, no need to even fight." She dripped charm with every word. "Besides, a good looking being such as you would also be able to take your pick of all the ladies. You'll have your own little harem. I for one will gladly give myself to you." She stroked his chin, wrapping her other arm around his waist and press up against him.

Michael and the Harbinger watched the fight with glee. To the Harbinger it was just a taste of fights he would encourage when he brought hell to the planet. Two enemies of his fighting to the death, ready to take down the victor at the first sign of the opponent's death. To Michael it was one step closer to Ashe, but it was more than that. These were Shiango's minions, and he was destroying them and causing them to fight each other. Not only would he still be well rested by the time he reached Shiango, but he would severely weaken his forces.

Michael nodded and started to walk away when the vampire appeared before him. He knew what she was and that she was evil to the core, her humanity long gone. It disgusted him, but to the Harbinger it had the opposite effect. This was a beautiful creature to him, a loyal follower that could help him stamp out the life on the planet. She was the physical form of lust, one of the sins the Harbinger knew well. He was Sin itself. The touch, the feeling, the look on the creatures face, the Harbinger had to take control and make her his.

Michael was going to stop him when both him and the Harbinger took control and pushed her away, a giant pillar slamming down where they had embraced. The two giants were nearing the end. Michael summoned his blade which twisted it's shape and glowed with black flames. It was time to end the fight. Michael dashed forward with the speed of sound, a blur of jet black and velvet red stopping between the two monsters. With one leap he flew straight up, using his blade to carve deep into the torso of the minotaur, slaying it. As he came out and blood arched onto the ceiling, he brought the blade back down, piercing the dragon's skull. There was a sickening creaking and crunching of steel against bones as he ripped out the blade, hovering in the air as the dragon and minotaur fell over lifeless.

Michael wiped his blade on his leg and looked forward, the Wraith directly in front of him. Before he could react the Wraith grabbed the side of his head and delivered a mental shock to him. His mind shook as if it had been electrocuted, memories being implanted, things of the purest nightmares. Michael didn’t know what it was doing so he managed to jump back, the Wraith looking at him with confusing, it’s face not visible behind it’s cloak. Michael took his sword and swung it, the levitating foe being sliced in half. Michael noticed then that it hadn’t been hurt at all, his blade had gone straight through it. The Wraith couldn’t be damaged by physical force.

How can I defeat something I cant touch?” Michael thought as the Wraith floated around him. It held out both of it’s hands and shot two flaming spiritual bursts at him. The blue fireballs arched as they approached him, but gained speed as they moved, one colliding with Michael’s leg. There was a spiritual shock that blocked all of Michael’s thoughts and by the time he snapped back the Wraith was coming straight for him. It touched the side of his head with one arm, but Michael managed to deflect the other and knock the Wraith away. That’s when he realized something: he managed to hit him.

Michael jumped back and motioned for the Wraith to charge him. It shot several orbs at him, but they were blocked with a few sweeps of his sword. He taunted him by tossing his arms out to his side and smiling. The Wraith floated straight through him, the thought of it and slimy sensation on his insides made Michael hunch over sick. The Wraith let out a low airy moan to get his attention, and Michael turned around right into his cold hands. Now that he knew it wouldn’t kill him, Michael shouted like he was in pain as the thoughts flew through his mind. The Wraith’s attack was nothing, Michael knew what Hell was really like, and the Wraith’s false memories weren’t even close to the true terrors in the Inferno.

It happened in a split second. With a snap of his wrists Michael grabbed the wrists of the Wraith and head-butted it. The Harbinger was working with him, his body gaining more coordination and power as he tore off the bone that was the Wraith’s left arm. He brought the skeletal limb back around and hit the Wraith in mid-moan, a giant cloud of dust bursting from the cloak as it fell to the ground motionless, all the spiritual energy dissipating into the air. There was one general left, the biggest threat she had against Michael was what she could do to the other soul inside.

The Vampire landed hard on her rear end when the Harbinger pushed her out of the pillars way. She took it as if the Harbinger was falling for her charm and gave a wicked smiled. She stood up and whipped the dust off her dress, watching as the Minotaur and Dragon died. 'It's about time,' she thought as she crossed her arms.

She watched as the Harbinger finished off the Wraith as well. Though she was a little disappointed at that. She had no qualms with the Wraith, it never got in the way of her plans.

As the Wraith's dust settled she slinked up to the Harbinger and wrapped her arms around his waist and pressed herself against his back. "Hmm...Such a nice strong body. As you are now, you could easily rule this entire army," she purred. She moved in front of him and continued to caress him. "I want you...." she said as she placed her head on his chest, a smirk on her lips. 'Perfect.'

~

Ashe finished her meal and stood up. The food returned some of her strength so she could stand up on her own now. The floor didn't swim before her, but she could only take a few steps before she fell back to the floor.

The maid stood up and rushed to her side. "M'Lady!" She picked Ashe up and helped her back to the table. "No, no, no! Back to the window."
"But my Lady, the Master's here and it would be rude to ignore him."
"I don't care."
The maid looked over at Shiango who waved his hand to let the maid know that she can place Ashe by the window. She led the weak Dragon to the window.

~

Shiango had watched as Ashe ate with hooded eyes and a smirk. When the maid placed Ashe at the window he got up and followed, standing on the other side of the balcony from the Dragon. Shortly the sounds of the battle ended with the death roar of the Dark Dragon. 'Now it's only the Wraith and Vampire left...' he thought with another smirk.

((this came to me faster than I had thought))

As the vampire embraced him, Michael felt the want, the need, to be with the vampire. It was all he could suddenly think about when he thought of Ashe. With that thought, he realized what was happening and what the vampire was doing. The Harbinger thought of the power she held, how much stronger he would be with it. It would be one thing to have her beside him, lending him her power. It would be quite another to have that power she did. It wasn’t something Michael was surprised about, and he had already assumed the Harbinger would reach that conclusion sooner or later.

Slowly he embraced the demon, gently wrapping his arms around her, his clawed left hand gently touching her shoulder. In an instant his hand gripped her tightly and with a quick spin he threw her all the way across the room where she gracefully spun and landed, shocked and confused.

You’re right. I could rule this entire army and more. And I could have you fulfill any and all desires I have. But there is one thing you need to know. Inside of me, there is a part that wants to see you torn to shreds, and another part that never wants to see you ever again. And the part you think that wants you killed isn’t the part in control now.” He turned to walk into the tunnel to proceed further into the dungeon when he stopped and said over his shoulder “But should I encounter you again, I may find myself unable to resist the demon inside.

As he walked into the tunnel he transformed into his half demon form and whipped around, his hand black with flames, and destroyed the entrance to the tunnel, separating the vampire and him forevermore. Why did he spare her when he could have so easily killed her? She was evil and full of sin. But inside he knew he was no better, he just had control over the darkness inside of him. Power was corruptive, but he knew that it could be put to better means. Darkness did not make a person evil, power and a weak soul did. And he wanted to believe against everything he knew that there was a shred of mortality inside of her. Vampires weren’t all evil, and he prayed she’d find them and join them.

Inside the Harbinger was ready to rip control away and turn around. “Really,” he said to him, trying to boost his ego, “do we need her power? Aren’t we already omnipotent?” He didn’t stop glaring, but Michael knew he’d stay calm for now.

The tunnel led to a large hall with pillars lining the wall, the bumpy path turning into smooth steps that had no signs of wear. The walls had carvings that he knew were demonic, and all seemed to be leading upwards towards the end of the hall. It was a guess, but Michael assumed it was a siphon of demonic energy, pulling it out of the ground and all around the planet to go upwards into a room where it could be harvested and controlled. Michael knew he was walking headlong into a trap, but Shiango had trapped himself. Michael was a demon that could control the same power Shiango did. As he touched the wall he felt the chill of evil and the immense force of darkness. It had been used many times, but there was no sign it was on as none of the incantations were glowing with power. Still, he would be prepared for the battle ahead now. There was only one thing left to do, and he could feel she was up ahead. Michael leapt up the stairs, several at a time, heading closer towards his fate and destiny.

Ashe was getting bored, plus being chained to the bed in the same room as your enemy wasn't her idea of a fun time. So to pass the time she tried to have her wind cut through the chain. Even with the added strength of the darkness now in her, she still couldn't make a scratch, so she moved to the wooden leg of the bed to which the chain was secured.

The maid had just finished mending her clothing and packed it into her pack. She then started to clean Ashe's two swords, as Shiango didn't think to remove them from the room. 'He's right,' she thought bitterly. 'Weak as I am now I pose no threat to him.' But her strength was returning and once the wood was cut through, she'll make an escape.

It didn't take long for that to happen. Once Ashe sensed her wind cut through the wood she stood up and stretched.

Both Shiango and the maid looked at her.

"What? Can't I walk around?" she asked him.

He grunted and continued to focus his attention on Mike.

Ashe walked around the room, getting more confident she could walk without falling. She then walked up to the table that held her pack and studied the maid's handiwork. "Good job," she said as she sheathed her swords and put the belt back on. Feeling better she took a deep breath and ran for the window.

She jumped the balcony and took her half-dragon form. With a tug on the chain the wooden leg came loose and flew to her, causing the bed to fall. Looking at Shiango's face, a mixture of surprise, shock, and rage, she smirked. "Sorry, but I'm not playing bargaining chip. Not for you."

Shiango cursed to himself. Had he not been so focused on the Harbinger he would have noticed the Dragon's intentions. He turned back, facing the maid, who stood up, visibly frightened. In a flash his hand was around her neck as he lifted her off the ground. "I told you to watch her," he hissed. "But you were too busy cleaning her swords."

"Master, forgive me," the maid cried out in a horse whisperer. But this just angered him more. With a roar he tossed the maid towards the wall. Her head cracked open and there was a sick crack as her neck snapped from the force of the impact. Her body lay crumpled and broken on the floor.

Ashe didn't see what happened to the maid, she was too focused on getting out the of fortress alive to spare a glance back. The demon army swarmed at her the moment she left the room as they tried to bring her down using the chain. Taking her true form she surrounded herself in a ball of wind. Warping it into a pressurized mass of condensed air. Once she felt completely surrounded she expelled the mass. The wind sliced everything in it's path, above, below, and all around Ashe body parts rained from the sky.

Landing, and returning to her half form she walked through the rain of blood till she saw a sword that had impaled a demon on it's way down. An idea came to her. Taking the sword, she removed the wooden leg and place the chain around it. She smiled as she swung the chain, listing to the whistling that the sword made as it swung through the air. But she was not paying much attention to her surroundings. If she would have been paying attention to her surroundings then she would have sensed the Vampire had made her way out of the colosseum and was now standing behind her.

"So, there is another. Your the one the Harbinger's after," the Vampire hissed in anger at the surprised Dragon. "I'll kill you. Then I can have him to myself!" she cried as she sped towards Ashe.

Michael climbed the steps until he saw a light in front of him. It was dim, but it meant the end of his road. He could feel a massive amount of darkness close by, so he knew Shiango was close. He mustered up all of his strength and entered the room, ready to attack the first thing to move. That’s when he realized where he was. The core of the demonic city Shiango ruled, the gathering spot for all the dark energy in the world. He was standing at the citadel of darkness.

At first it looked like the inside of a large church steeple, the round roof collecting into a point with only several windows in it for air and lighting. However, the walls were lined with statues and pictures as high as the ceiling. Dozens of statues of people holding large demonic looking weapons, and pictures depicting huge bloody battles with slaughtered mortals. As the pictures got lower, the people looked more human, and the pictures became portraits. Michael saw a statue and walked up to it. He didn’t need to read the inscription, he knew it was Shiango. This place was not only the center point for the demonic energy, but also a monument to the demons that had come and conquered before him.

It made him sick, to think that all of this was glorifying for these demons. He didn’t let the Harbinger know how much he hated the demons, the sick race hell-bent on killing for status, power, and their own sick ego. He wanted them all to die. He had a thought that scared him: if he absorbed Shiango’s power he’d be able to destroy all demons, all vile and evil beings on the planet. But then he’d be no different from him…he had to remember what he was fighting for, who he was fighting for. He clutched his hands into fists as the hatred and sorrow welled up inside of him. He had wandered into the center of the room as he threw out his arms and wings and shouted at the top of his lungs!

SHIANGOOOO!” The force of his voice shook dust from the ledges of the building, and the sinking feeling in his heart let him know the last battle was near.

Shiango smiled. Ah, the Harbinger made it. Standing up, he grabbed his helmet and walked downstairs, not even glancing back at the body of the maid at the window. He stopped in front of the Harbinger and put on his helmet. His armor moved seamlessly with him, as if he wasn't just wearing it. Which is true. His armor was an extension of his magic, not too unlike how a dragon's scales are a part of their skin.
"So we finally are able to meet. Face to face. You have been a constant thorn in my side since that day. Though when we last saw each other you where more interested in that pretty little Dragon than me."
He pulled out his sword and held it in front of him. "Shall we?"

Ashe had turned around once she heard the Vampire. She had her sword and chain already in hand, so she used that to block the initial attack.

"Why does the Harbinger fight to save you? What do you mean to him?" the Vampire hissed to the confused Dragon.

"What are you talking about?" Ashe shifted herself into a position that made it easier to dodge any attack the Vampire made at her.

"The Harbinger was created to destroy and rule this world. Love and loyalty are foreign concepts to him. The mortal soul of his last life shouldn't even exist, it should have been destroyed." The Vampire crouched, adding, "When he defeats Shiango, I should be the one at his side. NOT YOU!" She lunged again.

Ashe dodged, not sure whether or not to fight back or flee. But the Vampire answered that question by pulling out her own whip sword. The two started to clash, the Vampire on the offensive and Ashe on the defensive. I'm going to have to be careful. I'm not completely healed yet.

When Shiango walked out in front of him, Michael watched him. He was a symbol for everything he hated in this world: pure evil and demonic. He wanted him to die and feel the suffering that he had inflicted on everyone he had come in contact with, including himself. He wanted to send him to the Inferno and then travel there himself to attack him more. He felt all this hate, all this rage, and he seized all of those feelings…

And buried them deep inside.

Michael needed absolute focus for this fight. For one, Shiango wasn’t playing around, he’d throw everything he had at him. He was also fighting the Harbinger inside, who at the time was clawing to gain control and tear Shiango limb from limb. Michael held his right hand forward, a ball of black flames flickering out from in between his fingers. He clenched his fist as the flames turned into a dark wooden handle. The top of the handle flickered with flames, almost shooting them out. With his clawed left hand he drove his fingers into the front of the orb away from his body, and as he pulled his fingers farther away from the handle there was the screeching sound of metal on metal as the flames were pulled back, forming the Dark Demon Slayer.

He held his blade forward before swinging it on each side of him and pulling it across his left palm.

Shiango…” Michael said emotionlessly. He wanted to say rotten words to him, how much he hated him, and how something about him was extremely familiar yet unknown. All he could saw was what he wanted most. “Show no mercy."

Shiango smiled his wicked smile and grabbed his blade with both hands before leaping forward, at the same time, Michael spung his blade around in a circle and held it forward with both hands before sliding forward for a stab. The beginning of the end had come at last.

Shiango laughed as their blades met. "Show no mercy? My dear boy, that thought never crossed my mind." He swung his sword down at Michael's head, making it an easily avoidable blow. Once his sword was down, he swung himself himself around, exposing his back to Mick for a split second, but it brought the sword near Mick's left side. Shiango was aiming to cut off Micheal's golden claw.

The Vampire had the upper hand in the fight. They both knew it. Ashe had taken her elven form, relying on speed and agility to dodge the onslaught of attacks rather then downright blocking. But her stamina was waning.
I can only go on for so long...I need to rest. she thought, gritting her teeth.
It was then that she stumbled. Landing flat on her back she became slightly dazed. The Vampire used this opportunity to go for the kill. She stood at Ashe's head and drove her sword, tip down, towards the Dragon's exposed throat.
It was only out of instinct that Ashe was able to save herself. She used the chain to slow most of the tip's downward movement, but the point still rested on the skin, breaking it and drawing blood. The two were now at a standstill.
