Svarly confirmed and soon transferred onto the Star's Light. She took a stand over by the medbay, watching over Pen. Her eyes were slightly unfocused and dull, but she gave no other sign of distress.

Eirc's voice crackled over the comm in the ship. "Hold on. I'm going from one gravity well from another. You might experience momentary discomfort followed by vomiting. It's all part of the ride, and no, I don't usually drive like this."

In response, Svarly retched into an empty bucket she was lucky enough to find in the medbay. She yelled something in a different language, that was most definitely a series of curses, then followed with retching again.

Das Steube Meanwhile Gate stood on the bridge of the Kore flagship that was laying siege to Thesys. "Report, Captain." The captain of the ship turned to Gate, "Currently the battle is going in our favor, though there are a number of anomalies and problems with certain enemy ships and fighters. One fighter in particular seems to phase through other ships. There were also some unidentified ships flying, untouched, through our forces." He gave a slight shrug, "Technology we aren't privy to, I assume." "There are also a few reports from our fighters that the visual placement of ships, and size of some ships aren't matching up with their radar. An illusion play of some sort, perhaps, or the ships' systems are malfunctioning."

When answered, Lankin's cool face was displayed on screen. He was gently tapping against the armrest of his chair, his face looking slightly more pale than usual. "I've heard you don't approve of the earth attack, Gate. I find this interesting. Please, tell me your reasons."

He was gently tapping against the armrest of his chair, his face looking slightly more pale than usual. "I've heard you don't approve of the earth attack, Gate. I find this interesting. Please, tell me your reasons." "Earth is a fortress. Using the amount allocated to Bryne's command is suicide. As I understand you humans are partial to life, and this operation yields total casualties for the Kore, with fewer than a hundred on the side of Earth. This also includes the Hunter units under my command, factoring my ability to hinder Earth defenses. They have not remained a power in the galaxy for four hundred years by being stupid or incompetent. Thesys should have been the sole focus. If you were hoping to use Earth as a distraction, then you not only succeed in your goal, but also brought a power into the game that you cannot control or curb. You should have waited until we were able to bring all forces under Kore command into play, including slave conscripts from the Thesys operation."

Lankin smiled. "Just wait, Gate, the plan is still blooming. This kept between us, I am not always so partial to life, sometimes you have to sacrifice a few pawns in order to bring the pieces into place." Something odd flashed over Lankin's face, as if his very image wavered a bit. Without hesitation the communication was cut off.

(Sorry, Ima) Svarlena (Pen's sister in case you didn't know) glanced over at the woman with the fancifully dyed dreads and slightly raised an eyebrow. Eccacians generally had an issue with hair-dye, though Pen would have never mentioned it. "You're Eric's wife, I take it." Svarly said, her voice and accent not too far from Gautrine's. She glanced at Pen's body, her blue eyes darkening a slight bit. "Did you know her?"

The large carrier ships began to move into position, they began to open up, dropping out what looked similar to a missile, though as large as a sky-scraper.
there were about twenty of them in total, all in different places above Thesys. The missiles took off diving towards the planet.

((I didn't mean to get snappy at you, ED. It's not your fault.))
Hattie gave a soft smile and nodded, her dread-pigtails bouncing with the movements. "I did. I consider her one of my best friends, actually, whether she ever saw me as that or not." She crossed her arms, her fists clenched. "I tried to stop her..." Hattie mumbled.

(No, she was getting snappy at me. -Casually flips bird- You hadn't posted, I wasn't going to go hunting for you to post, I figured that if I just put you in whatever setting we were with to make it work. Don't get ******** snappy with me, I was helping out.) Eric drummed his fingers on his pilot's chair, thinking heavily as the Star's Light blazed through it's gate and out into Earthspace, bearing down on General Bryne's ship.
