"Well.... it was a lot of rain," Kara did admit, "But it happens, I mean.. at least it's rain and not something else."
Kara knew what it was like to do something she had not meant with magic, she did it often enough growing up.
"Magic isn't inant back home, so my mother was used to accidents and always prepared for them."

Rhea blinked up at Kara as she followed her outside. "You had accidents, too?" she asked, almost in awe.
Adonai chuckled. "Did you think she was born knowing as much as she does?" He poked her nose. "Silly goose. Everyone had to learn how to use their magic, just like you do."
Rhea stared up at him. "Really?"

"Really, like Arwen use to disappear without meaning to, and sometimes not even all of her disappeared," Kara told Rhea remembering the only other person she helped.
Of course Arwen was more because she was panicking at the time, Kara was sure she would have appeared back eventually.
"As for myself, well.... I use to set things on fire."
It helped she no longer tried to use fire because that was just a bad idea, she was so much more a light and wind person.

Rhea's eyes grew even wider. "You can make fire?" she asked, her tone filled with amazement and awe. "Really? Can you show me? Papa, can I make fire too?" She looked up at him with wide eyes.
Adonai fidgeted uncomfortably. "I hope not," he muttered under his breath. The abilities that she had manifested so far were at least not dangerous when they got out of control .... but fire was not a good thing to have uncontrolled.

Kara chuckled a bit sheepishly at that question, "That would be very unwise for me to summon fire. Back in Gaia, no one is bound with only a few magic abilities, everyone can do almost anything. What limits us is how much magic we have... and our alignment. Fire element has never really agreed with me unlike wind or light, so that is one element I don't do well in. In otherwise I'd rather not get into an accident, fire is very dangerous. Storm and Starr aren't allowed to use it unless they're in a stone room, with seals, under adult supervision who uses magic, and a bucket of water."
No one took any chances with fire, it was up there in dangerous elements to master.

Adonai chuckled softly at Kara. "Well, eventually I suppose we'll find out what magic she's capable of ... until we do, she won't be able to really control whatever it is."
Rhea nodded and let go of Adonai's robes. She was completely back to normal now, realizing that accidents did happen, and that hers were not the worst that could happen.
"Let's keep going!" she grinned eagerly at Kara. Her wings began to sparkle blue, and slowly they began to fade from sight, until they were gone completely.

Kara wondered for a moment if gaining more confidence would help in Rhea's control noting how the wings only finally disappeared after Rhea was feeling better about trying again.
"Alright," Kara smiled picking a good clear spot for them to start at, "Shall we attempt the excerise from yesterday?"

Adonai breathed a sigh of relief when Rhea's wings disappeared finally, and he smiled and sat down a little ways away from the other two, giving them all the space they would need.
Rhea nodded happily at Kara. "The one where I put it in my hands, right?" she beamed.

"That's right," Kara replied as she adjusted the way she sat, "Fill up your hands with your magic as if it were a bowl and then try to take the magic back into yourself again."
Then they would see about trying anything else.

Rhea did as she was told, kneeling and sitting on her heels and then holding her hands out in front of her like a bowl. She closed her eyes and bowed her head in concentration, and a moment later her hands began to fill with a liquid blue glow.
That was the easy part ... now for bringing her magic back inside of herself.
Rhea opened her eyes a sliver and looked at the glowing blue in her hands, willing it to return to her, become a part of her once again. She had struggled with this part the day before ... but now it seemed as if it might be working ... like getting rid of the rainburst, she just had to do it right, and think about what she was attempting.
For several seconds, the glow remained as it was, and just as Rhea was beginning to get distracted with other thoughts, thinking that the magic shouldn't be there in the first place, it vanished, as if it had never been there at all.

Well that was relatively painless, true it didn't come with ease, but that is what time was for. Kara smiled brightly at Rhea.
"See, there you did it."
And nothing over flowed and no flowers bursted out of anywhere.
"How do you feel?"

Rhea smiled widely and looked up at Kara, and her eyes were glowing with the unearthly magic once again.
"I feel good," she grinned widely. "Lots of energy! Let's do more!"
She giggled and fidgeted a bit, filled now with excitement.

Kara's mind ran through the excerises she had practiced when she was younger.
"Alright then," Kara replied holding out her palm, "This is more shaping your magic, you remember imagining it coming into your hands right, well imagine your magic coming into this one hand, but this time also imagine your magic taking shape. What it becomes is up to you."

Rhea stared down at Kara's hand. She was supposed to give her magic a shape? How was she supposed to do that? Making a glow was one thing ... and especially in her own hands, but how was she supposed to make something in Kara's hands? The only thing she could think of was making flowers grow ... but she didn't think Kara would like having a flower grow out of her hand.
"Um ..."

"Ah..." Kara smiled taking Rhea's hand, "Your hand I mean... I was using my as a demostration, like...."
She was trying to think of something and then thought of the first thing that came naturally. She closed her hand into a fist and when she opened it again there in her palm was a small light butterfly.
"Something like this," Kara tried to explain cupping her hand over the butterfly to make it disappear again, "When you summon just magic, it doesn't really have a form, just whatever form comes naturally to it, like... for me light and wind."
Soft simmers of light appeared once more in Kara's hand, but it was just simmers nothing more and nothing less. It had no form what to speak of.
"But... with a focus... putting your will onto it," Kara mentally nudged her magic into shape, it was like... telling little children to get up into line, only it was forming a small star flower which floated a bit in her palm, "It can form into something else, again what that form is depends on you. Flowers are a bit harder for me, butterflies come naturally, probably because I've been using it as my signature for so long."
