The large door would require the key - there was a hole in the center of the door that could be the only place a key would fit. The ground was wooden, and it creaked every so slightly... a soft moan could be heard, but it was constant - the unyielding wail of the wind outside, traveling through a tower that had two open windows to create a breeze that moved curtains. This could not be seen, and so could not be proved, however.
((Watch out - Hoyles wouldn't just give you the key to his experiments or anything like that, now, would he? Suffice to say - major plot twist when you finally get back to Hoyles in the dining hall. But open the door first!))

"Um, Kryxel..." Nam said very nervously. Thoughts like "What the hell are you doing?" and "You're insane!" Rushed through his mind.
((OMG YOU'RE ALIVE!!))

Nam quickly analyed the situation in his head; he didn't like being ordered around, and he didn't like Hoyles. He also didn't want to give Kryxel any reason to remember why they were all there in the first place. He went back to Hoyles, as given past expierence the only one he need fear was Oliver (though he certainly didn't want to find out what the Duke could do [or was] when he was angry). "Um... Hoyles?" He asked about the gloves.

kryxel smiled as nam exited "thank you."
he turnrd back to the door and looked at the magic pattern hidden within the door "...keeps out general spooks and goblins...yet not the big stuff...why?"

Duke Hoyles blinked. He only said one word. "...Gloves?"
Oliver shifted uncomfortably, as he received the sudden feeling that he was regarded with animosity. He had walked into the room right after Nam had left, to stand behind Kryxel.
"Sir... I thinks, you should wonder more along the lines of why His Grace wished for you to go inside?"

"he wants me inside so he coud kill me...or worse... but thats why i need my glove. it has a special seal in it that brings forth dalturin. my sword. it is unable to cut through humans and spirits doing what they are supposed to. but burns like the fires of hell though any evil soul." kryxel flexd his left hand where the glove should be.

Oliver blinked. "This glove?"
Sure enough, a glove that had once belonged to Kryxel was suddenly in Oliver's hands, appearing unnoticed like so many things seemed to do.
"This glove was yours...." But Oliver hesitated, obviously not allowed to give away such an item back to its owner.

Nam looked nervously between the other three. What is this? He thought, I'm like a rat here! Or a busboy... Nam suddenly regained his composure, "Right." He simply stated, not ever owning anything of value or of magical property.

((So, there's suddenly magic in this floundering RP...
Okay, tell you what. Once you enter the 'room,' you'll encounter something. Once you get back to Duke Hoyles, a plot twist will occur. After this, you'll figure out exactly what you need to do to get out. Since only the two of you have posted anytime within reason, you'll be the only two to escape... if you play your cards right.
It kind of sucks to tell you what's going to happen, or even when it's going to happen, but this RP is dying, and we can finish it up soon. How about that - a finished RP, for once? xD
Hoyles and Rosemary are in the dining room. Oliver and Kryxel in the room behind the painting, with the big glowing door.))

(when you have freaking strange creatures that automaticly makes it magical.)
"thanks." kryxel grabed the glove and slid it back on his hand. he tapped his palms together and the intricate mettalwork on the palm shot out into a handle "arise from your slumber. DALTURIN!" thunder echoed around the corridor and the handle shot out into a blade "now i am ready. nam? if you dont want to go in you dont have to." kryxel turned back towards the door and unlocked it with the key.

Inside was just another long hallway... but somehow, it seemed to be an optical illusion. The door at the end of the hall seemed to be far too small for any human to fit through, although it had to be. Maybe, yes, just an optical illusion?
The floor was divided into seven colors. Each, one of the rainbow. Starting with violet, at Kryxel's feet, and heading down to Red at the foot of the seemingly small door at the end of the hallway. Each stripe of color was... pretty long.
The walls were bare. The room was dark. A light seemed to filter in under the crack of the opposite doorway, even though it 'appeared' to be far too small.
Oliver himself did not enter through the door.

Behind Kryxel, Oliver stood, leaning on his cane, which he did not have before. He was hesitating, behind Kryxel's back, on whether or not to say something.
The ceiling. It had been black before, but seemed to glimmer with the twinkling of stars.

kryxel took cautious step by cautious step into the room eyes darting every way that was possible for a attack. he paused on the green square and listened.
