When everything was loaded, they drove back for a little while to find a ruined old house. Connor checked it; it appeared empty.

Esther nodded, feeling a bit lightheaded as she walked out the door. She was actually doing the work her father had...well more or less. It was exciting and terrifying at the same time, but she was determined to do her best.

Gray followed after her, closing the door. They made their way to the car and they set off for the glacier.
They arrived shortly. Gray got out after pulling the car about a half mile away, in the shadows. "OK. How are you gonna do this?"

They made it to the city. "I'll call base," St. Cyrill said, reaching for his radio.
Oh. That ******** call them," St. Cyrill grumbled.
Xander found nothing, although he got a strange sense that they were being watched.
Shrugging it off, Connor helped Tiki into the house and made him comfortable. He was still mostly unable to walk on his own.

That night, Connor approached Xander.
"Xander, I know it's short notice, but Tiki doesn't seem to be getting much better. Would you mind keeping watch for tonight? If you get tired I can switch with you." He turned. "Or Kurtis, you can. What do you think?"
