((sorry... last I had checked, she was the last person who had spoke, and since then I've had to be using my roomate's computer. I'll keep an eye on it over the weekend. <3 won't be around tooo much longer tonight, since it's my bday))
"Yeah, but you get used to it. In a couple of times it won't hurt anymore." He drops his hand, a little self-consiously. Realizing that he is actually attracted to Muraki, but that it's not a relationship he can pursue -- a strange position for him to find himself in. Normally he has casual dalliances with whomever catches his eye.

He turns, starting to pace a little, always restless when he's upset. It's when you can see the cracks in the smooth, polished persona he's developed over the years, when he looks most like the teenager he once was.
"What do you expect... for me to just continue to wait around for you whenever you decide to show up and continue to be content with you shutting me out? And do you think Ukyou-chan will be content with a husband who loves someone else? Do you not see how selfish you're being?"

Smiling slightly, Muraki nodded. "I'll take your word for it then." he spoke, setting his sake cup down for a refill.
He trusted Oriya, after all.

Granted, the scientist should have been taking his own advice where a certain other shinigami was concerned.

He takes Muraki's cup and the bottle, slipping off the chair. "Come on. it'll be more comfortable in my room, out of the way. They'll be cleaning up soon." Waving for Muraki to follow him, he heads back to his own room.

Muraki got down from the bar stool he had been sitting on, following after Oriya.
"Your room's quite comfortable at that... and unique." the teen spoke, thinking about the decor as they walked. "It's traditional, and yet, has a little of a modern feel to it."

"What would you have us think?" Muraki asked, a bit angry at this. "Ukyou's worried about you, Oriya. You can't just keep going on like this. You, out of all of us, have to settle down. Think of your business! I'm a doctor. That's not much of a legacy to pass on. Ukyou's still aiding her professor, yet another reason why it's not as important for us to find someone, as it is for you. When you're fifty, what will you do then, Oriya?"

"I like the traditional feel. Actually, when I inherit, I want to make this place a little more traditional." He takes a seat, pouring more sake for the both of them. "Besides, you can make more money with tradition, if you know how."
He takes a deep drink of his sake, refilling the cup again. "Wealthy politicians prefer to entertain clients in geisha houses, and the more formal, the better."

This caused Muraki to pause. "You had discussions? Was anything ever resolved from them?"
In all honesty, he'd always worried about Oriya.
Especially the man's love life.

"Yes..." He refills it, gracefully, drinking his own and refilling that too. Expecting Muraki to be pretty drunk soon though. "I'll show you my drawings sometime. I've been developing lots of plans."

Of course he wondered this, while downing another cup of sake.

It was true.
Muraki had never really been overly liked by Oriya's family.

The last of that a clear dig at Muraki, Oriya's voice very cool. He pauses, back turned to Muraki, looking over the small koi pond. "I have an eight-year-old daughter, sensei." He closes his eyes, knowing there will probably be a reaction to that information.
