Vadász seemed to relax, his expression softening at her words. "I can handle glares, I've received many as it is." He winked to her, glancing down to his arm as she finished, moving his arm carefully, grinning to her. "Just perfect. Thanks." He replied, glancing to the food that he left laying out. He packed it all up then, pausing as he left what was left of the sandwiches out, there weren't that many anyways. Pushing them back into the shadows, he also kept the wine and glasses out. Straightening, he touched the pendant that was hidden beneath his shirt, watching the violet glow fade. "If you were wondering, I really can only use empathy on my own, thats the only power I was born with. Leena made me a charm that allows me to control the elements, but I generally can't use them in a fight." He murmured, drawing his two swords to test them, holding them with the blunt side to his arms. Then he examined their sharpness, finding it to be at his satisfaction, sheathing them once more.

"Still useful though. And better than nothing." Cori said with a shrug, silently debating asking him. He didn't look that old, but that didn't mean much.

"That is for sure. So handy for storing good food." He winked, chuckling as he remembered her earlier teasing, chomping down on another sandwich, offering the last one to her. Then he paused, already having an inkling what was bothering her, or at least on her mind. "Hmm, I did say earlier that I would tell those silly stories didn't I?" He murmured, smiling as he debated which one to tell her. "I was twenty-six when I was banished from here and Leena found me. I was still a hawk at that time, it wouldn't be until a few years later that she would find out I was a were, and of mixed blood like her. "She was just ten at the time and she ended up in an argument with one of her teachers. I was in the room and decided it would be interesting to find out what his reaction would be if you did end up with a spider on your face. Would it slip into your mouth and die? So, he was napping one day and I found a nice sized spider and placed it on his face. He woke up when it did start to go into his big snoring mouth. Oh the shout he let out.... It was a horrible prank, but so enjoyable. Leena was quite pleased to being proven right." He laughed lightly at the memory, giving her a warm smile as he tilted his head, knowing that would give her an idea of how old he was. It was just a hunch, that was all. "Is something wrong Cori?" he asked quietly, his violet eyes watching her quite calmly.

Cori laughed, cocking her head slightly at the question. "No, why?" she asked. He's at least twice as old as me... Brilliant Cori, brilliant. she thought, though she let no trace of anything associated with the thought reach him. It was strange though, him seeming to know what she wanted.

Vadász just shook his head, the briefest sad expression in his eyes and his smile appearing, gone as soon as it had come. "You just seemed to have something on your mind was all. Ah well, maybe I was wrong. It does happen, despite quite a few peoples beliefs." He sighed heavily, smirking as he winked to her, not giving off any air of what he felt. He just seemed calm and comfortable, pouring himself another glass of wine, taking his time since there wasn't very much left. He let a bubble of warm feelings flow out of him, wanting it to envelope her, if anything it would be soothing. He laid out on the ground again, one knee bending as he let his head rest on an arm, the other resting on his stomach, seeming quite at ease himself. Truthfully he wasn't, but he wasn't about to show or let anyone know that.

Cori let her eyes shut as the bubble reached her. He couldn't know how soothing it was. Well, he probably had an idea. Despite appearing bright or calm most the time, she rarely was. Except for those rare times in which she was able to forget about everything, but today was the first time in a long time she'd been relaxed, comfortable. She shifted to rest against the wall, watching him for a moment then looking out to Eve, and back after a minute or so. "Something's bugging you." she said softly, having caught that flicker of sadness before.

Vadász just hoped that bubble could help her, he had already resigned himself to being on the sidelines by the time he got there that first time with the antidote. There were only two places that he could feel this warmth and give it to others. Leena, and now here. There was a third place, but it drew too close to unpleasant things that he preferred locked away. He glanced to her as she shifted, himself laying with his his feet towards the wall, glancing down to her. "Eh? Moi?" He feigned ignorance, chuckling a little as he also faked being shocked. He stretched both arms, wincing a little at the wound, sighing as he reverted back to his previous position. "Oh so many things it could be though! Which to chose? Leena is upset because Anira and the King are doomed to death not to mention she's worried about her kingdom among her own issues, Eve is upset about this as well, I'm an old fart that stopped aging at 17, I'm in my homeland where I know I'll be killed if found... Shall I go on?" He smiled softly to her, making it seem as if it were all nothing. He continued to give off that warmth for her, it was the only thing he believed he could do for her besides being himself. But that he could do for anyone, this warmth he couldn't give to everyone.

Cori smiled, unable to start worrying herself due to the warmth as she shook head gently. "Earlier. Before you said you could've been wrong." she pushed gently, though she wouldn't make him tell her. She couldn't.

Vadász tilted his head, knowing that she would feel worried if not for him. He pushed himself up on one elbow, sighing lightly. "I had already resigned myself to staying on the sidelines when I first came here. So, right now all I believe I can give you is this warmth. I'm assuming my age bothers you? Though we all know what 'assume' spells." He chuckled, watching her with a very calm expression, though the gentle smile remained. He sipped at his wine, violet eyes looking into hers over the rim, his hair almost blending in with the contents of the glass.

Cori hesitated, though she smiled faintly. How could she answer it without admitting anything? She wouldn't to him, not until she finally let herself believe it. "Not in itself, just, I dunno. Confusing myself now." she said with a soft laugh. "But, why're you making yourself stay on the sidelines?" she asked, unconsiously pushing the attention from herself.

He smiled and laid back down, chuckling a little. "Well, even in that answer, it is a relief." He admitted, lifting his head up again. "Hm? Oh, well, mainly since it's really unsafe for me to be here. Even if you and Eve are here to stop Altarion, they may be foolish and charge you with harboring me and some idiotic crap." He waved the hand that wasn't holding his head up in a dismissive manner towards the ceiling, obviously not aiming it at her. "Also just what I'm used to doing, in some ways, it's a precaution." He smiled distantly, forcing himself to come back, he knew where that road went. He just plain sat up again and leaned against thew all since it would be awkward if he had to change forms. He'd end up on his back which would lead to fluttering and a pain in his wing. Even if he knew it would be an amusing sight.

Cori nodded. "I'm curious. How do you send out the, warmth, for lack of a better word? A friend was empathic, but she was only able to do it for the twins..." Cori trailed off, her gaze dropping to the ground as realization struck. Nicky had only been able to sooth her daughters in this manner, and not Cori, because she'd loved them, not her friend...

Vadász blinked and looked at her blankly, then he closed his eyes and leaned his head against the wall. "Your friend could have also been on a different degree than me since there are varying strengths among us empaths. In answer though, I can give off this warmth only to you." He looked to her with a gentle smile, opening his eyes to look at her before lowering his eyes. "I can also give off a warmth to Leena, but thats different, as it would also be with Eve and Roran and others. Each person has their own warmth that I can give depending on my relation or feelings towards them." He explained, letting her extrapolate from there. He knew she was already at the brink of understanding, this would just be a small push.

((you like that word, don't you? Extrapolate))
Cori smiled, relaxing more so than just his warmth could give. She hid a smirk, slipping back into her usual self as she stopped trying to hide things from him, such as the actual reason she'd been disturbed by his age. Love. There, she'd finally thought it. But she wasn't about to flat out tell him, not for making her worry and think herself some crazy ***** kid... Well, the opposite as a ***** really, since he was older...
"How, precise is the empathy? How specific can you tell what someone's feeling?" she asked with a hint of a challenge in her tone and eyes. She wanted to know if he could figure it out, and how he'd react to it.

(( Yesh. ^_^ *strikes pose* ))
Vadász was humming lightly to himself when he heard her questions, opening his eyes with a small smile on his lips, seeming as tranquil as ever. There, she had thought of it. He opened his eyes at her questions, his violet eyes resting on her emerald depths. "Very precise. At least in my case. I can tell when someones feeling something before they know it, I can tell the complicated mixes that some may feel upon occasion. Which is why many think me a telepath as well." He answered quietly, a knowing glint in his eye, he knew it also leaked into his smile, leaning just a little close while keeping his head facing forward. "I already knew when I told you that story and gave you an idea of my age. Maybe a bit before that, but it was solidified by that time." He whispered gently to her, straightening then, letting his eyes rest upon her once more. He wanted to see her reaction, hoping he didn't embarrass her to a point of no return. He doubted it would be that bad though. "There are few empaths as strong as me, so again, forgive me if you feel invaded or some such."
