-Micheal then closed his eyes once they were gone and then pulled out his fangs from Roman and just counted slowly.-

-Roman then sighed in releaf that he was now starting to calm now and the fangs and scratch marks started to heal.-

She held up the handle for Dark to take, watching closely the sharp pointies the dragon had. The only time she had been any closer to a dragon's mouth was when they were dead... or newborns that were soon killed. When he had the handle, she climbed back up upon the dragon's back and braced herself for another take off.

-Dark gently closed his mouth and then took off the same routine but it was more carefull to not spill the water this time.-

-Micheal then open his eyes and gave Roman a hug.- "Sorry.. I thought I was good."

-Roman just lightly braced the hug.- "yeah.. ok. but that was too soon and too close for you to try that kind of thing." -Roman then rubbed the back of his neck to his shoulder like he was rubbing off a bad vibe.- "Get it... you don't want to do to her what Kiru did to you."

-Micheal then rubbed his jaw and did the same thing like he was shaking off a bad vibe and then looked back at Roman. "I know.. I didn't want ..."

The ranger just kept to the silence on the ride back, trying to plan out all the steps that she needed to go through, once sneaking only a peek toward the ground between the flapping of Dark's wings.

*wings as they made their way back.

-Roman then move his callar and looked at Micheal- "Mich your dragon flys fast."

-Micheal nodding knowing he doesn't have much time and then grabed Roman and turned pushing where Roman was pinned now and his wings raise curling around them hopefully to cover as much as he could and he slowly bared his fangs now more controled and dug them in a new softer area on Roman's shoulder.-

-Roman lightly laughed as his eyes closed focusing on how much Micheal was feeding on.-

When Dark landed, the ranger more so slid off than climbed down, landing with a thud and took off walking, retreaving the kettle from Dark's maw and moving toward the fire with it. Taking out her sword, she hooked it under the handle and moved the small kettle into the fire where she set it down. This was going to be the part that probably took the longest, she though. Waiting for the water to heat up and hopefully boil.

-Dark watch the direction Micheal was in.-

She put her sword away and moved back to the leanto where her backpack had been left. The bottle with the cleaning fluid, the wide jar with the salves for open wounds... She paused for a moment to think of what other items she would need. She turned her head and looked at her left elbow that was not giving her any trouble at the time, certain another part affected by the dragon's ability that was numbing her senses. While she waited for the water, she grabbed the three ingredients to make the mush for her elbow. When finished, she redid the wrap on the elbow and threw the extra she had made into a small empty jar she had. She set that small jar with the other two and looked at her medbag trying to think if there was anything else. Then there was a hurried motion by the ranger as she dug out a small glass vial about the size of her pinky filled with a purple-red liquid and she set that with the other three.

The ranger sensed it was probably time to check the water and hurried over to the fire, reached for her sword and used it to try and hook the handle and lift it out, setting it out on the wet grass. She looked in to see the lightly bubbling water and then held her hand over it to try and judge the temperature. And then a frown crossed her face. Why doesn't this feel warm? she thought to herself as she held her hand closer to the water. And then the thought struck her and she yanked her hand back.

-Micheal Closed his eyes as soon as he saw Dark in view trying to clear his mind right now.-

-Roman saw something form micheals mind where he fangs curled in anger and put his hand on Micheal head for some sort of comfort.-

-Dark then looked at her like he didn't want to be hit.-

"Bladeshards!" she cursed as she tried to figure out how to solve the problem before her. She looked at the hand she had just used for a moment, wondering if she was going to feel that later before looking over at Dark. "I've got a small problem."

"I know." -he said as he flicked his tail- "you just burned yourself."

"That interestingly enough, is not the problem... at least not the one now," she said putting her hand down and looked back at the kettle that bubbled. "It's trying not to do it again that I'm running into. I need hot water to clean the wound, but I can't tell the temperature. Either the numbing affect you have has to come off, I have to guess at the temperature, or someone else has to tell me when it's cooled down enough not to burn."

-Her other hand that wasn't burn felt the cold rain hit it with the warmth of the fire.-

She looked at the dragon. "Shifted the geas?"

-Dark nodded- "almost.. this is more magic than illusion."

The ranger got up and moved back to the leanto where she grabbed a few rags and snagged to sticks, the slimmer one she set next to the jars she had left out. The longer length about the width of her finger she took with her and the rags. When she returned to the kettle, she tossed two of the rags in and set the stick in as well, using it to stir the water and cloth for a moment, before she set the rest of the rags on the ground. She then got up and brought back the bottle with the cleaning liquid and the wound salve. "What's going to happen when this numbing spell comes down?" she asked as she worked. "I just end up noticing the aches and whatnot again?"

*again, right?"

-Dark look at her.- "your skin that was open to the rain will be bruised slightly, your leg is going to be swolen from moveing to much." "And your hand sensitive to touch." "I am only transfering my strength to you for the moment."

"Lovely," she began to stir the kettle water again. She then remember the thin stick she had left behind and got up to retrieve it, sitting down by the kettle to stir the water some more in attempts to cool it down faster. She looked up at the sky for a moment, and then looked down at her water soaked clothing and the drops running down her hand.

Jay popped open the opaque bottle for cleaning out wounds and poured it on her leg, once again instinctively expecting a sharp stinging feeling before remembering Dark's power once again. After a small wait time of that, she pulled out one of the rags from the kettle with the stirring stick, letting it hang in the air to drip and cool for a time. When she could feel that it was at a temperature that wouldn't bite her later, or at least something that she could tolerate if it did, she took the wet cloth in her non-numbed hand and started squeezing the hot water into and over the wound before moving it away. She then took the smaller stick, dipped it in the kettle for a time before seemingly poking at and in parts of the wound, making the water and cleaner she had in it turn a cloudy color. Tossing the stick into the fire, she used more water and cleaner before getting out the salve, using it, and wrapping her leg. As she tossed the dirty rags that were around the camp into the kettle and set all the jars that were out back next to the backpack, she asked a question of Dark, "How much of a range does this numbing thing have?" she asked, her face obviously looking like it was concidering something. She looked back at the knife she had left in the coals of the fire and took it by the handle that had been left out to stay cool, dipping the end into the water of the kettle making a cloud of steam. "And how are those two doing?" she also asked as she looked back in the direction of Micheal and Roman.

-Dark looked back in the direction and then back at Jay.- "He's not done yet he is feeding slowly so it lingers longer."

"How about the gea... the spell? How far from you can I get before that breaks?"

"Not sure really."

"Got any guesses?" The ranger put a closed fist to her mouth as she sighed in thought, putting away the dagger. "Don't suppose you know how far are we from the closest towns as well?"

-Drak just shrugged and lowered his head to ignore her now.-

After waiting a moment and getting nothing, she murmered something about 'soul-stealing dragons'. "Then at least tell me this. Can Roman do the same numbing thing you can?"

-Roman rolled his eyes as he heard her ask the question- "what does ths girl know when to call it quits?"

-Micheal had his kind hearted chuckle again-

-Dark Looked at her- "It depends what traits he has."

Fustrated the ranger turned, looking as if she was heading toward Dulcimer. She muttered while listening to the hiss of the fire while the rain pattered upon it, "Take this bloody geas off me. I'd rather deal with the pain."

-Dark shook his head- "are you done?"

"Why don't you ask your partner that question," she answered feeling avoidant all of the sudden, as she reached Dulcimer's side, opening one of the saddlebags.

*question?

-Dark just closed his eyes and lowered his head agian as her hand that was burn was trobbing with pain and the rain hitting it just made it sting even more. Her back then felt like the cut ripped open and when deeper from the over movement of rideing a dragon. Then her leg buckled as the foot felt numb and the pain swirled around the infected area as the pounding rain really didn't help much with the tainted's flying speed.-

Before the ranger could find what she had been looking for, she collapsed to the grass in a cry as everything, every feeling of injury, pain, heat, and chill struck her all at once.

-Micheal then released his fangs as he took a deep breath and lick the bite mark on Roman till it fully healed and he started to whipe the corners of his mouth.- "Sorry I can't take anymore right now." -he said as he grinded his teeth.-

-Roman nodded and then looked in Jay's direction from around the corner of the tree.- "trouble she is."

There she lay in the rain for a time letting everything just scream at her. She would have cursed at the dragon, but she knew she had asked for this... and she'd rather be lying there on the ground than take it back. She let time pass for everything to settle just enough so that she could even attempt to get up on her good leg.

-Micheal picked up a rock and chucked it at Dark hitting him dead in the side of the head.-

-Dark Growled as blood started to trickle from the spot.- "WHAT SHE ASKED FOR IT!"

"Yes but I don't care." -he then let go of Roman and slowly walked over to Jay's side as his wings folded.-

"That wasn't deserved. I did ask it," she growled through her teeth as she managed to get up to one knee, her vision swimming. Soaked to the skin that she was, she continued to try getting up on her own, however.

-Micheal slowly held out a hand- "sorry"

The ranger only took Micheal's hand long enough to get to her feet, before taking her good hand and digging through the saddlebag again. After some searching, she pulled out what looked to be two gloves before tossing one back in the bag, turning around, and then limping back to toward the leanto. "How far away are we from the town we originally left from?" she asked, her shortness with Dark and the pain from the injuries now rubbing off on her attitude with Micheal.

-Micheal sood there and watched but he stayed by Dulcimer looking lost for a moment.-

-dark was still bleeding in the rain still grumbling how this is all great.-

Not hearing an answer from Micheal she kept going toward the leanto where she dropped, nearly literally, and pulled out a small leather bag which she set on her lap. From the bag she seemed to take out what looked to be the pod of some sort of plant. She set it on the ground and with her hand leaned her weight on it until there was a small 'crack' before picking it up and dumping out the gooey looking contents from inside it on her burned right hand.

Roman then came walking up and stood near Dark- "So you don't heal quickly as we do."

Dark continued to grumble as he watched the ranger now.-

-Micheal then moved and walked cautiously closer to her really not knowing what to say.- "Um sorry."

There was a sigh as the ranger spread the goop around on her tender hand. "Don't know what you're apologizing for. Besides..." she paused a moment as if carefully considering her next words. "Is being right here right nowthe best idea for you? From what Dark said, you have come to visit much earlier than expected."

"Your hurt.." -Micheal lightly said as the true reason was he couldn't focus on feeding any more cause of that reason.-

-Roman then lightly bit his thumb and ran it across Dark's head wound and it stopped bleeding.-

Dark lightly padded his tail.- "You didn't have to.."

-Roman shrugged- " your scent is sweeter than Jay's over here I am sure Kiru would have recognized it if he was near."

"Isn't the first... won't be the last." The last part had been said in a grumble, the energy behind her efforts to argue seemed slightly lacking compared to her usual demeanor. "You need to take care of yourself better," she slightly scoffed, knowing full well how the line could be thrown back at her. Lacking as her energy might be, she was trying.

Micheal just lightly growled. as he bit his the inside of his mouth.- you know... I ... -then he stopped and just sat down on the ground with his head in his hands as his wings fold around him like he was in his own private room.-

Roman looked at Micheal.- "Hey Mich ... you ok? I mean other than the fact that your overly obsessed with something you really can't have, and your nature is telling you to kill right now."

Dark then growled as Roman was pushing the line now.-

-Micheal just grumbled now as his hands tangled through his hair.- " I am..."

Jay's look and demeanor softened some as she looked up for the first time from her hand only to see Micheal go into hiding. The look only lasted until Roman spoke up and Dark growled. Wrapping her hand, she looked past Micheal's form at the two off to the side. She leaned forward on her good leg and wobbly stood up. "I'm going to try and make it to town," she said as she tried to finished tying up the wrap around her hand and then slip the glove over it.

Micheal awkwardly dropped one of his wings to look at her.- "It's too far .. you need to take better care." -Micheal's eyes then focused on her- -

Roman looked at Micheal and then at Jay.- "we are long far away from any near town." "And Sheesh how can you still move that frail thing you live in?"

Jay looked back at Micheal with a sad sort of resolve on her face - which turned into a frown when Roman spoke up. "Far... probably. But what good do I do you if I just impeed whatever you need to do to get back up to full strength. And as for you," she said as she looked from Micheal to Roman, "it's not like I broke everything. The cold is numbing as it is..." she trailed off. The cold was numbing as far as she was concerned. Her clothes were still soaked which meant her wraps would soak through as well if they hadn't already. She wasn't sure with all the aching going on. There seemed to be always one ache to cancel out another. Wet wraps over wounds was something that had her worried though.

Roman smiled at her.- "Oh so your going to get ill again."

-Micheal didn't say anything at first.- "Do you listen?" -he lightly said as he looked at the ground infront of him.-

She didn't look at Roman, her refusal to look at him a hint of what she didn't want to admit. "Do you feel cold?" she asked back at Micheal, shifting weight off her sore leg.

He looked at her and then thought about it for awhile.- "No I don't feel cold...."

"Do you want to?" she asked, narrowing her eyes before looking up toward Roman as if he could hint whether this was a good idea or not. Honestly, it probably wasn't if it was possible, but how could she explain if he didn't know? "Assuming that it's actually possible." She did not seem very happy about what she was suggesting, but her patience was wearing thin and she was growing weary too quickly.

Micheal looked at her oddly.- "Perhaps.. but why would I want to feel cold when warm is more pleasant."

The ranger bit her cheek and turned back to collect her bag, although shakily.

Roman looked at Micheal as trying to figure out if he was truely insane.. they really didn't feel warmth not unless they were in contact with a liveing thing.-

Dark watched the ranger carefully.- "So what are you thinking..?"

She set down the bag for a moment when she remembered her cloak that was still lying under the branches. She had been soaked for so long now that she had completely forgotten about it. Not that it really mattered much now, she threw it over her shoulders and snapped the clip just below her neck before lifting the hood to conserve whatever heat she had left. Picking up the bag in her good hand again with tired eyes, she looked back at the dragon, "I thought you already knew that," she said as she made a slight hobble in the direction toward her horse.

Dark shook his head.- "Your insane."

micheal looked a little lost still.-

"your going to kill the horse?"

A burst of laughter escaped the ranger before it ended in coughing. "Kill the horse. That's a good one."

Roman kinda laughed with her as he had no clue why he did.-

Micheal still looked lost-

The ranger carefully slipped her backpack on as she got to Dulcimer, untied the horse from the branch, and started leading him back toward the makeshift shelter where she remembered her bow and arrows were still as well as the small kettle by the fire. Seeing Micheal's look as she passed by him, she wondered if even straight up explaining the reasons would make any sense. Some of it she wasn't even for certain on. "The rain doesn't cause you the same problems it does me."

"Your not riding back to town." -Micheal tried to guess what she was getting at.-

"What do you propose then?"

"You wouldn't make it, or you would get taken advatage of cause of the wreck mess I put you in."

"More likely the first than the latter," she said ignoring his self imposed blame. "But I haven't heard a better solution yet." She said as she gathered her bow and quiver, the spot beneath the wraps on her thigh beginning to throb extremely so with all the bending she was doing in her legs to avoid bending her back any.

Micheal looked at her and then stood up.- "What do you think should be done... Dark is a huge target... and I am not really human friendly to the eye right now. and probably won't be for a long time..."

That's why I figured I'd have to travel myself..." she said, avoiding looking at Roman as she said so. She had already discussed this with Dark... which had lead to her getting angry with the dragon in the first place. "Unless someone knows of a dry place out of the cold that doesn't involve a town?" she said after slipping on the quiver and bow, taking her time before she went to collect the pot.

Roman then looked at the fire for a long time.- "well we could take her..?"

Micheal looked at Roman and then stood up on his toes as he streatched- "It's not that far either about 10 miles." "But there is a large chance they are waiting."

Roman closed his eyes as played his hands like he was playing a piano really fast.-

The ranger just listened as she tried to put the small cooking kettle back in the saddle bag after emptying it off it's contents before moving on to get the waterskin. She tucked the fingers of the one hand open to the weather under the armpit of her other arm, the chill starting to make them stiffen.

Micheal then watched Jay's movement as Roman was messing with the minds of vampires as he played.-

"It seems still only a few know about you Micheal and your pet, but they are focused on hunting something that they think threatens them more ... funny how things are." "that and the shear fact Kiru been on a random killing spree of the clan since you vanised and he came back."

Micheal then smiled.- "then it's settled, we are going to one my homes."

Roman looked at Jay to see how she would react.- "I guess I'll run ahead and do some house cleaning then."

Though she was not enthused with the news that had been relayed beforehand by Roman, inside, Jay felt better seeing Micheal smile, but it reflected weakly on the outside. Everything was starting to feel like a weight at this point, and she just wanted to hop on Dulcimer and let go. When she had packed the last of the few things she remembered were lying out, like her spare clothes, she tried to haul herself up on Duclimer, having to use the arm with the weak elbow to pull herself up.

Micheal was there once again holding out his hand to help her.-

The ranger did not look at Micheal though she took his assistance reluctantly.

Micheal then helped her up trying not to harm her.-

-Roman then muttered-" I am going to be ill.. I am going to do that house cleaning for ya Mich but your going to have to owe me."

-Mich then just nodded as Roman took off-

The ranger looked more sluggish as she climbed up into the saddle with Micheal's help. As she took the reigns, the mutter a quiet thanks before she nudged the horse to turn toward Micheal more. "Oh, the darts... get those if you would," she said, spotting them off to the side on the ground where Roman had left them. "There's someone I want to show those to."

'If I ever get back there...' she thought wearily to herself.

Micheal gave a happier smile now and then picked up the darts carefully and then put them in the saddle bag where there was room.- "When your better... perhaps..." -Micheal then started pondering as he shook his head from the thought.- "So how long sould these take to heal?"

"Should what heal?" she said, turning her head toward Micheal for the first time in a while.

Micheal looked at her.- "your leg... your back not to mention your arm and hand now."

"I don't know anymore," she grumbled, avoidant of the topic as she seemed to fiddle with her something near her hands by the pomel of the saddle.

Micheal then frowned.- "Sorry." -He then started walking as his wings folded more comfortable around the shoulders.-

The ranger said next to nothing, still messing with whatever it was at the pommel for a moment before getting Dulcimer to follow Micheal.

After few days of slow travel they arrive to a mansion made into the hard rock of the mountian side with water running off the side from the river up above and it look like time and nature was starting to encase to hide it from the world.- -There was already smoke comming from the top chambers where it served as a chimney.--Micheal then stood there pondering for a moment.- "How much do you trust Dulcimer?"

The ranger just nodded under her hood at Micheal at first, her face damp, but not from any water from the air. "I trust him" she said after a time, trying to lift her head up straighter, though it slumped back to her chest fairly quickly. Besides being open to the elements, she had not eaten much over the time of travel and had downed barely more water than than though she had not mentioned any reason as to why.

Micheal then nodded looking at the horse for a long pause and then looked back at Jay- "Ok then how about we let him roam around the area he should know what to avoid and where is a good spot for him to eat."

"Don't leave the belongings with him..." she said, fiddling with the leather cord she had wrapped around her hand at the pommel. There was a small rumble of frustration from the ranger as she worked at the tie until she somehow managed to get it undone and started to get off Dulcimer, sliding down more of the way than gracefully dismounting really. Landing on the ground, she stumbled a bit before she had most of her footing back outside being in the saddle so long and weakened.

Micheal then started at the saddle.-

"Is this the place?" the ranger asked, almost wistfully seeing what looked like a building before them.

-He looked at it for a moment.- "yes ... and it should seem familar."

"Familiar?" She looked at Micheal for a moment, the shadows under her eyes far darker than what they were when he first met her some two or so weeks ago. She looked back toward the building front in the mountain.

"I don't remember it from anything..."

Micheal then noded as he lifted the saddle and blanket and proped it on his shoulder against his wing holding it there. As he carefully walked to Dulimer's front and lose his reigns and carefully slid them off with one hand.- "5 of my paintings that you saw was of this place." -he carefully continued.- "Um I have another shoulder or would you like to in the saddle on the other shoulder?"

She tried to remember back to the paintings and what they looked like, but could not bring back the details of any buildings. She wondered if it was some sort of omen that she'd be arriving at such a place that was painted in one of his pictures though. "No... I'd rather walk," she muttered as she took a weak step forward toward the building on her own without Micheal's lead.

Micheal then hung the reigns around his neck and then slowly fallowed her watching her carefully.-

The door open and two females greated them.- "Welcome back Master" -they both said at the same time as their eyes seem like they weren't human but more alureing.-

Micheal gave a weak smile- "Hello ladies it's been awhile if you could please take Lady Jayara to pleasent quarters away from Roman please

Both of the girls nodded as the waited for Jayara to fallow them.-

Taking a small step back, the ranger threw a small glance at Micheal as if to confirm if it was okay to go with the two (despite that he just spoke with them).

micheal then closed his eyes.- "Sucubus that's all they are.. more like Roman's toys."

Something in the ranger's demeanor signaled that it did not make her feel any more comfortable about them but the feeling was so faint that she seemed to give in quickly to the idea even though she wasn't sure what Succubus were in the first place. Slowly she walked toward the two women.
