Tsukiyomi Morningstar Hattie looked at Syx. "My supposedly Captured Brother's Ship is in the fleet." She crossed her arms, glaring at the screen. "I don't know what these ******** are gettin' at, but I'm not for playin' games right now." Syx shrugged, "If he's captured, I'd think the ship would be captured too." She glanced at Eric as he approached, her eyes narrowing slightly, "exactly how will the captain deal with them? These are just cops following orders, after all."

Das Steube Eric gave Pendari a innocent shrug, before running up the ramp onto the Rioreet to talk with Hattie. "Stay here, Hattie. the Cap will deal with them." Johachim sighed, and turned to Ora. "A few thousand. A small amount, terribly small. Particularly in comparison to the seven or eight trillion humans in the galaxy. Less than a thousandth of a percent will be these beings. Natural selection is real, and humanity's ability to circumvent it is the reason were are the dominant force in the galaxy. There are SO MANY of us. A few thousand demigods in the face of a whole galaxy's worth of lessors. If my children grow... Unruly, they will be a dead race once again." Ora glanced at him. "In the forseeable future, yes, but Johachim, I have a longer perspective than most. What will keep nature from selecting this species as more valuable than all the others? How fast will they be able to procreate? Will they swarm over the galaxy like some unkillable weed, choking out the life of other species?" She shook her head, "most of it is simple worry, you've already done the damage, and it would be wrong to destroy them now."

Laurel Talbot Before taking the cup, Laurel gave Ruby a searching stare - then her eyes brimmed over with tears. "Auntie, is it really you? She told me..." Ruby smiled back. "I think it's me. I'd have to ask Arch to be sure, but I'm farely positive. What's wrong, sugar? Who told you what?"

At Eric's shrug, Pen bristled slightly and made a turn around, heading back towards Tu and the crew of the Siryn. Tu had volunteered to take her with them to Thesys, it seemed like the most logical place for her to hide, considering everyone there was hidden. She pushed back a few of her braids, and quickened her steps. Even if the Captain and the others took care of the government ships, it would be better if she were away from Osis.

Eric looked at Syx. "And the Captain's the same thing. Just be glad the one who's going to win the firefight is on our side."
Johachim gave a moment's pause, and chuckled. "Power begets itself, Ora. there are so many humans, and in comparison to other creatures, multiply fast. these beings... Well, they are ageless, and thus, in no real hurry to multiply. From conception to birth is almost two years. They mature at a slow rate, the age of their prime being almost seventy of our years, and are not capable of independent living for almost thirty years after birth. Humanity is safe."

Hattie sighed at Syx and Eric. "Syx is right and if my Brother is out there, they're most likely going to use him as a bargaining chip in this damn game." She heard a crackling over their Comms and heard something along the lines of, "Surrender your criminals or be terminated." Or something like that. Hattie rolled her eyes.

The responding radio chatter was from the Captain. "Change your course and leave Hunter space or power down your engines and prepare to be boarded and escourted to the Keep for processing."

"I do hope it's really you this time, Auntie."

The Shiva was finally within range to communicated with the Rioreet. The ancient radio crackled to live. Cale's voice was heard, filling Hattie's ship. "Hattie, just come with them... They won't stop hunting us."
Hattie hit a few buttons and brought up a video feed. She notice that his violet eyes were almost blank. "Cale! What the ******** are you saying?" The video feed was lost and the warning sounded again.

"As I said, in the forseeable future, it shouldn't be a problem, but two years, and thirty years, are nothing compared to the years these beings will live." Ora leaned against the wall. "Are they ready to function?"

"Syx, you'd better ship out. This boat's taking off." Sigil boarded and entered the Bridge. "I have retrieved Hunter. He is in the Med Ward with Halise." He said very softly, his voice deep and smooth. He stood just behind Hattie, looking over the various screens.
"I'm leaving to try to get to Cale and maybe lead this attack away. If the Captain thinks he can win, that's his deal. I'm not risking a loss." She climbed into her chair and began to fire up the engines and released the Clamp locks.

Syx gave Hattie a slight salute. "I'll stay here, and see what I can clean up if this mess gets far too spread. But Tu and the Siryn will likely be close behind you. Good luck Hattie."

Hattie grabbed Syx's arm. "Tell Eric for me." She didn't have to say it. She wasn't one for sappy goodbyes and hoped that Syx would get the hint. She closed the hatch as Syx left and prepared the Rioreet for launch. "I'm gonna guide us out, Riley and when we get close to the Shiva, release the grappler. We'll snag 'em and take off and hope we can outrun the Gov." She strapped in as Sigil took a seat behind her. Hattie got on the ship's Comm. "This is your Captain speaking. Strap yer a** in! We're in for a ride!"
