Akemi was a little startled by the appearance of this random girl. She hadn't met this girl before and it was weirding her out that she had just appeared out of nowhere and started chatting her little heart away. She seemed to be at least a little older then herself... and dressed simply enough for Akemi's taste. She just looked up to the girl with a slightly puzzled and annoyed look on her face as the girl chirped on and on. "There had been a fire?" she finally piped in. She had passed right out last night and seen no one today that had even bothered to give her the time of day, not that she had asked, but still she had not known there had been one... She shook her head a bit as the girl rambled on about aloe vera and remembered her question from before, "No! I'm not looking for anyone..." she said a bit annoyed as she turned her head to the street and then back to the girl. "Are you looking for someone?" she asked a bit more rudely then she had intended. The way the girl went on about her goal of helping the fire victims... it would seem she would be looking for someone.... or something.

Orika stared dumbly at the girl for a moment. "I thought I saw smoke this morning from the clinic's higher levels..." Orika muttered, scratching the back of her head and smiling a big smile, "But I guess I could have been a little preoccupied with the burn gel to check. It might have been someone cooking. Oh, but then, why were Kumiko and Tenko saying things about burns? It's in the Housing District. Want to go check it out with me, just in case something had happened?" the farm girl asked, stretching behind her head with the heavy book still in hand, which gave her muscles a nice little burning feeling. Still oblivious to the girl's annoyance, Orika chuckled and shrugged her shoulders when she heard her reply, "Yeah, I suppose you could say that. My boyfriend, Tategami Karite and I got into this... fight... disagreement... no... well, something strange happened between us and I want to find him and wrench the answer from his cheeky mouth," Orika said laughing. She wasn't really going to hurt him, but the way she said it must have promoted more violence than she intended. "Name's Tokiha Orika, by the way. May I have the pleasure of knowing yours?" she questioned, already leading the way towards the Housing District. If this girl didn't take her cue and follow, then she would try to persuade her again. It wasn't fun visiting disaster areas alone!

Akemi didn't have anything better to do with her time, so once she noticed the girl's hinting to follow, she sighed out of sheer boredom and started to stand up. "I wasn't paying any attention when I left the mansion... and to tell you the truth... I'm still not paying attention, so I haven't heard or noticed anything about a fire..." she mumbled as she stood up and began to follow the girl. Boyfriend? Ew... why was everyone thinking about boyfriends... or girlfriends.. the girl thought, choosing to keep this thought to herself. Mainly because it reminded her of Kolo, and how he had been so insistent upon a date with her.... Speaking of Kolo.... where had he been? Wasn't he living in the housing district? With that thought, something tugged a little in her stomach. She hadn't heard from the boy since the first day she had been on the island... and as much as she didn't want to admit it, he was the only one that had really stuck around, him and Seiko... but neither seemed to be around. "Okay, lets go..." she mumbled, not wanting to seem like she gave a care about the people there. "Cheeky heh?" she replied, with a bit of sarcasm in her voice. Sounded like drama.. or interesting, she couldn't quiet tell.... "And the name's Raiken Akemi..."

"Wow! You're another Raiken? That's so cool that you guys have such a family here. Are you close with other Raikens? I had a class with Serena; She was cool," Orika said. Her tendency to not hold anything back seemed quite contrary to Akemi playing it cool. Awesome! They were like opposites! Opposites attracted, right? The girl giggled and led the way. She always jogged and when not running, skipped or hopped the way like an energized bunny. Akemi might have had a difficult time keeping up, had it not been for Orika constantly circling back to chat. "You know, I bet a lot of people are gonna be in pain when they find out their house burned out," she said thoughtfully, putting a finger up to her chin. The farm girl said the sentence more like she'd just realized a universal truth than out of sympathy. The brief flicker of pity that flashed on her face was instantly replaced by excitement as a torch went on in her head. "You know, shinobi don't sleep in their homes a lot. They're always out training and sometimes it gets too dark so they sleep on the roofs or in the forests or at someone's house or in the clinic. It's not like shinobi are afraid of the dark. Certainly not! They're just really tired by the time the sun goes down and ya shouldn't exert yourself when you're really tired after ALL that training!" the girl rambled, speaking as if the shinobi were a novelty, rather than a class she belonged to. "But anyway," she continued, "the people that haven't gone home yet don't know that the place burned down. You said you didn't have anything to do, right? Want to go through the debris and pull out valuable stuff so it doesn't get lost? We can do some clean up too!" This was all fun and games to the fifteen-year-old, rather than a chore after a disaster. Orika giggled as she ran up to the hill leading down to the housing district. There was nothing she could spot so the girl decided to jump down. However, the dirt gave out from underneath and one could hear the shrill laughter of a rough and tumble girl as she slid on her stomach down the hill.

Searching for Valuables
Orika is searching for valuables hidden underneath the rubble so people retain as much of their belongings as possible. However, the crumbly structure hides many hazards. Can she find a safe path through the debris?

Nadeshiko remained stood for a few moments near the village center, traced her finger along the map, and then turned to the left and began walking again. If she kept to the current path, then the Tenmoki house should be right ahead. The girl resumed her previous pace, and strolled right down the road.

Nadeshiko remained silent for the rest of the way. She didn't find much to say. Although her companion had answered her question in a vague and roundabout way, Nadeshiko guessed a little further. And she mused on the fact that life was so interesting. Some smaller part of her mind, deeper in the back of her head, also wondered whether he was having any trouble with that crate, and what exactly was inside it.

And sure enough, a large wooden house with a vast expanse of greenery appeared. Nadeshiko stopped in front of it, consulted the map again, and determined that this was the Tenmoki house that she was supposed to search for. She turned to Aranami with a smile that said mission accomplished.

Aranami tried to hurry after Nadeshiko, hoping that they would get there soon. However, hurrying caused him to lose his grip on the box, having to put it on the ground a couple times, not able to get back into his old grip of the box, which was frustrating him. Sitting on the ground for a second, he looked around. "Ya know, for a village, this is bigger than the big city I visited a couple times..." He mused for a second, then standing up, saw Nadeshiko by a huge house. "Damn..." He muttered for a second, then tried to pick up the box, advanced maybe halfway down the street until he had to put it down again. Glaring at the box, Aranami wondered why he couldn't get a grip on the box anymore.

Nadeshiko waited patiently for Aranami to get a grip on the crate again, before she went up to the door and knocked. She turned her head to look back up at the Tenmoki house again. It really was rather large. Just like the rest of the village. It was much bigger than a regular village, but they probably kept to calling it that just for the sake of it. A lot of the places that she passed through with her caravan were like that. She looked again at the struggling Aranami.

"Um...do you need some help? Don't try to rush it if you can't."

Aranami frowned a little when asked if he needed help. "I shouldn't... it's not heavy, it's just a bit awkward to hold onto. I had it earlier..." Spacing out for a second after his sentence, Aranami smiled a bit too himself. "That's it!" He remarked, realizing why he wasn't able to get it back into a good position. Slowly picking it up, turning it just a bit until it fit snugly in his arms like before, now able to easily lift it. Grinning a bit to himself, he turned to Nadeshiko and said, "Thanks for the advice, I got it now, so let us go." Walking with the crate in his arms, he looked around at the house that he was supposed to head to. "That house is way too big, how many people even live there?" He wondered to himself as he walked down the path to the household.

She stood outside, her back facing the Tenmoki house. There really was an awful lot of noise coming from one direction. Nadeshiko began to head up the path in the village. If she remembered the map correctly, than the housing district was quite close to the Tenmoki house, and right next to the cliffs. She continued up the path, took a turn, and made a satisfied smile as the noise of construction became louder and louder. Soon enough, what used to be the housing district came into her view.

Glass, gravel, debris and broken hopes. Himoto walked through all of these making her way to the village center. Any onlooker would have sworn that the island was bombarded to death with cannon fire and those amazing paper bombs that the tanned woman from the cannibal tribe knew how to make. Himoto shook her head as she realized she would need to find time to learn that too. There was so much to do. The woman’s Byakugan activated to search the surroundings. Everywhere within the gaze of her magnolia eyes only showed destruction. Most things were laid to the size of a house cat. Whatever was standing higher than that was on its last legs and would soon fall. The only good thing was that some of the veteran inhabitants were set on rebuilding and managed to get some of the other islanders going. Most were in despair… and who could blame them. Within a span of five years they lost two of their leaders. Within a day the people lost the two shinobi they trusted their lives too. It must have left a very vulnerable feeling to them. A feeling Himoto was not sure she could fill for them.

Still she kept up her solid, expressionless face. At least Kanami had faith in her. The girl managed to help her post signs throughout the village that there would be a meeting this morning for all shinobi and villagers. Hopefully they would come soon. Himoto also had to worry about Kanami. The Hyuuga heir was able to escape the battle with only a few nicks and bruises. Things that probably healed overnight. Yet the trend setter went hysterical at the destruction that occurred. She too was swatted out of the way like an annoying cockroach while the unknown villains continued their destruction. The major difference was that Kanami was around with most of the genin and academy students. Watching them being cut down for no other reason than because they were in the way was almost enough to drive her crazy. It hurt her most when that little snake boy got in the way to protect her.

At that point a thought occurred to Himoto. “One of them seemed particularly interested in taking out the lesser ranked shinobi…”. It was something to keep in mind. For now Himoto would wait to see who would show up to village meeting.

[Enter from Cliffs]

A young man with a fierce gaze crunched his way across the scattered rubble towards the center of what used to be Shimagakure. He had quickly scanned the area before setting foot in the immediate area, taking note of the elders who had unfortunately been accustomed to rebuilding their homes in Shimagakure. The village had been besieged so many times that those who were old enough to remember the various disasters seemed to have become somewhat numb to the trauma, and allowed their instincts to kick in. Sukotto had been away from the village when it had been attacked, which in all honesty, was probably for the best. He knew quite well that he may have ascended to become the strongest Chuunin in Shimagakure before the village had been attacked, but that meant nothing in the face of shinobi who had been powerful enough to destroy all of the Jounin and the Kage, Shinichi.

As he imagined the man's face in his mind, Sukotto trembled. While the man hadn't been the best leader in the village's history, there was no question that he had become the strongest after the first Kage had perished on a mission, much much stronger than Sukotto. Unfortunately, the fact that he had been beaten meant that there was an even greater number of powerful and corrupt shinobi out there than Sukotto had originally expected. He thought that the Orochi leader who had ended the life of the first Kage, Uchiha Ichi, to be a rarity among ninja. The destruction of Shimagakure seemed to shatter that which Sukotto once held as fact. He knew that there would be no use in grieving, for there was too much work to be done, and besides, he had already lost anyone that he had really cared about. There wasn't much left for him to do than become as powerful as he could to defend the village that had housed him for the better part of his life, allowing the younger generations of good-hearted shinobi to rise up and fend off the evils of the world.

The only Jounin that he knew of was a Hyuuga that the Uchiha had never met in his life. To trust the leadership of the village with a stranger was something that he was opposed to, but Sukotto would work with her so long as she had a good head on her shoulders, and genuinely cared for the village. He breathed in a sigh, stepped through what used to be a house, and then spotted the woman exactly where he thought she'd be, in the dead center of the village.
"We haven't had the chance to meet before. My name is Uchiha Sukotto, my rank is Chuunin, and I am ready to help restore the village. If you have a plan, I'm all ears. If not, I shall be ready to formulate one myself if you wish." Sukotto skipped the formalities and got straight to the point. He knew there wasn't much time to lose, and there were likely younger shinobi scattered throughout the village who could be of assistance if they had someone to direct them. The Uchiha had a feeling that Shimagakure wasn't out of harms way quite yet, as he had heard some strange and terrible noises coming from the forest. As he awaited the Hyuuga's response, Sukotto noticed a small white feline out of the corner of his eye. Under normal circumstances, he would have paid it much more attention, but he knew that he had work to do.

Intelligence Training - Determining Potential Strategy
While running Serena and Shisei through an exercise that pinned the two of them against himself, Sukotto has decided to consider what he would do if he had been placed in their shoes, while also allowing his mind to dance within the battles that he has experienced over the course of his career as a young shinobi.

Even though the days of summer were meant to be wonderful, the the emotion around on the island was so grey, It wasn't just the villagers, the spirits of the dead were wafting around, They were unseeable, but in the air you could deffinitly feel the pressure of the dead, Maybe they just wanted their homes rebuilt. Maybe they wanted they're asssians rubbed out, No matter what those spirtiial beings wanted, it would take alot of time., they would have to be pianciant to see a final rest. Sorri walked up to Himoto Hyyuga "Sorri of the Ibazi clan. Present" He flipped up his hoodie, his headband already tied and lifted his head, connect his white eyes with hers. The two tialed beast, He always knews somethign huge was on this island with them. Those guys did all this damage and they didn't even directly attack us, This Island was just a speed bump on thier wild cat chase."So...how big of a mess did the intruders make? We wern't the only placed they wreck right?"
