Having finally crossed the street and made his way through the crowded city, Crenu came to the Poke Center. Hopping off of his bike he thought back to the last time he was here. He was rather rude to this Nurse Joy, and her boyfriend got mad. He remembered beating him and walking away laughing, it was a great feeling. Had that fool thought that he would be a match for the might of Crenu's icy grip? With a motive like teaching Crenu respect and winning back the honor for his girlfriend, of course he lost. You can have only one thing on your mind and that's winning at all costs. "Heh heh, wonder if the fool is around now. It's a shame my pokemon are down for the moment, but I'll make sure to not underestimate Ky from now on. Come to think of it, I wonder if M.A.'s gotten any stronger..." He trailed off as he entered the center and made his way to the counter. The center was surprisingly active at this time. It would appear that many trainers were turning in for the night while others were simply hanging around passing the time. Poke Centers really were the saviors of all trainers. Free care and a roof to keep out the elements, even in a big city like Goldenrod it seemed that the center's survices were vital. There was a young trainer just in front of Crenu that had just recieved his pokeballs and ran off. He looked back as the kid ran away.
"Goodnight Jimmy. Oh my, up and around already? How's your head feel?" Nurse Joy had just waved farewell to the young boy when she saw Crenu walk up to the counter. IF she was not mistaken this was the same young man that she had treated at the old couple's house, and she never forgot a face.
Needless to say Crenu was somewhat surprised. His head, how did she know about that? Could she have been the same nurse that treated him the night prior when he was passed out? He only caught a glimps of her in the morning, but he supposed that a better look wouldn't help much. All Nurse Joys were the same to him, so he just went with it. "It's fine. And um...thanks." He was blunt and straight to the point, but thanking someone wasn't really his style. He placed his pokeballs un the designated tray and Chansey carried it off to the back. "I'll be back later." Crenu attempted a smile, but decided against it and turned to leave the center.
Nurse Joy pouted a little, but her expression quickly changed back to normal. "That one's a little rough around the edges. Hope he smooths out soon before it gets in the way of his journey and the well being of his pokemon." She sighed as she went back to work. "I still don't like the trainer much, but I think he'll learn."

Beldum shot forward again, seemingly more determined than before to defeat its newfound foe. The Taillow was young as well, and seemingly inexperienced as it watched its attacker fly toward it, frozen with fear. Beldum's hit landed quite solidly, knocking the little bird for a loop. Chirping fearfully, it hopped back to its feet and eyed Beldum before flying forward with a Quick Attack. The Normal-type move wasn't very effective against Beldum's solid, steel body, and the small bird bounced off of its opponent like a rubber ball on a brick wall. It got back up again, shot another glare at Beldum and attacked again, its stubbornness quite apparent now. Beldum took the hit easily and countered with another Take Down, on Jaeshan's order. With that final hit, the Taillow decided to cut its losses and make a break for it, quickly flapping its wings and disappearing into the brush nearby. Jaeshan smiled, reaching out to pat Beldum as it approached him, as though to ask 'did I do good?' Jaeshan nodded, and watched it circle around him. "You were great," he said proudly. "Keep that up and battling will be a cinch!"
After a bit more praise, he recalled the Steel-type in order to give it a bit of rest in case another battle were to come upon them soon. He could see quite a few trainers around; some younger trainers, and several older, bulky men, each wearing large backpacks and gesturing towards the mountains in the horizon, as though they were bragging over who had climbed the most. Jaeshan was a bit surprised to meet smiles and waves all around, as it seemed to be a fairly popular gathering place for people to train with their Pokemon. Jaeshan wandered over to a large boulder and sat down, watching a girl in a school girl uniform battling with a boy, also in uniform, with round glasses. The girl had a small, round Pokemon with floppy, yellow-tipped ears with her, while the boy seemed to be the owner of what appeared to be a Nincada. To be sure, Jaeshan scanned them both, finding the first Pokemon to be a Whismur while the second was indeed a Nincada. "Interesting," he mumbled, watching the Whismur deliver a Pound attack to its insect opponent.

Recalling Raz back into his pokeball Robin finished eating her modest breakfast all the while keeping an eye on Luffy. Beside her Ampersand continued to poach off of other peoples trays when they were not looking, Robin tried her best to keep Luffy from watching because he might start up to. Eventually they finished breakfast with little to no incident.
"We need to make it through Pewter City and the Viridian Forest before we finally make it to Viridian City. If we go at a decent pace we should be able to make it there by noon for a nice lunch, my treat." Ampersand offered with a small smile. "No caves and the way is mostly flat I promise."
Grinning slightly Robin couldn't help but feel better, her limbs hurt from all the walking she had been doing recently. "Well then," She said as she adjusted her bag and scooped Luffy up into her arms. "what are we waiting for?"
"Thats the spirit." Ampersand encouraged her.
Soon both of them were waving goodbye to Nurse Joy and heading out into the bright morning sun. It seemed like a lot of trainers were early risers by the amount of people who were traveling Route 3 (pretty sure its route 3 to lazy to look it up...) It did seem that most of them were more busy trying to capture or train their pokemon at the moment so they weren't looking for a battle. Or at least thats what Robin thought as they walked by a bunch of trainers. It wasn't until a little while later that a boy ran up to her with a small grin on his face.
"Hey your a trainer right?" The boy had to be around 15 or so and seemed to be fairly new if eager. Not that Robin could really say anything about that seeing as she was still pretty new.
"Yeah I am." From her experiences so far she hadn't really come across many trainers who had been nice to her so this was rather strange. Most people either tried to take something from her or were just plain rude.
"Ok great! Um would you like to battle?" He asked nervously now as if not quite sure he kept glancing between her and Ampersand nervously. "That is if your boyfriend wouldn't mind."
Both Ampersand and Robin paused for a second at that comment before Ampersand smiled at the kid. "Were not going out, just traveling with each other. I also don't mind if you guys stop for a battle." Grinning slightly and tipping his hat at them he headed off to the side to take a seat to watch the battle.
Still somewhat confused Robin blushed slightly before turning to face her challenger. "Well all right, I only have two pokemon so how about a one on one battle?" She didn't really want to walk back to the pokemon center to get her pokemon healed up if both Luffy and Raz got knocked out.
The kid seemed to brighten up. "That sounds good to me. My names Sam by the way." He said as he picked up one of his pokeballs. Robin noticed he only had two on his belt as well.
Grinning at Sam Robin grabbed Raz's pokeball ready to free the Yanma from his confines. "My names Robin and it will be a pleasure to battle you."
That said they both let their pokeballs fly.

Ah, let's see, where did we leave these two?
That's right, the PokeCenter at Slateport.
Shortly after they (being M.A. and Michael) finished their breakfast, they recovered their Pokemon and set back out to the same clearing they had slept in last night. It seemed like a good place to train without being interrupted, and it'd be a while before their mother returned yet.
"So, Michael... What's Team Rocket?" Mary-Anne asked idly as they passed through town. That lady, Officer Jenny, had mentioned it when the thief lady was escaping.
He frowned in response, and glanced around casually before answering. "It's a large crime organization, like Team Aqua or Magma. But they're centered in Kanto and Johto, and it's rare to hear of them around these parts. . . I wonder."
M.A. thought about that for a moment, but there wasn't much time to ponder more on the subject for they had arrived at their training area.
"Well, let's get to training!" the elder brother said, seemingly having forgotten about the topic entirely. His amber eyes shone in the sun -- apparently, he was looking forward to this. It must've been a year now since he'd retired from competitive coordinating, so perhaps he hadn't seriously trained any Pokemon for a while now.
Mary-Anne nodded with a grin and released all of her three. Likewise, Michael let loose the three he was carrying with him - Jin, the Masquerain, Spade, the Linoone, and Grace, the Mantine. All three, M.A. noted enviously, looked like they were in great condition, with their bodies; when it came to Pokemon care, Michael was simply amazing. Grace immediately floated over to M.A., spinning around her in the air fondly. M.A. nearly fell out of dizziness in a few seconds, but the Mantine easily caught her before she did, purring like a content kitten. "It's been a while, Grace," she said, smiling. Spade, too, acknowledged her, although he had never been that close to her.
"Alright. Tora, over there. You've got the strength of a little tank, but you're not too quick and even at full speed, you'd have trouble hitting the broadside of a barn!" The Phanpy bristled up, obviously offended but eager to follow the man's advice -- she responded positively to the authority in his tone. Besides, she wasn't ready to be humiliated again, like the previous battle. M.A. giggled a little at her reaction; Michael was good at riling Pokemon up, apparently.
Michael began to pull several different-colored tin cans out of his bag as he continued to speak. "I'm going to place these around here, and M.A.'ll can call out the colors of the respective tins to knock over while you're in Rollout. Recognize her voice, even when you're spinning. Let's try to get them all out before your attack ends -- that means don't slow down or let up!"
Tora nodded, looking at the little "game" with interest. "Ready, steady... go!" Michael said, watching with a small smile as the spunky little elephant spun into a compact ball and whirled towards the targets.
"Red!" M.A. yelled.
Tora hesitated a little before flying just inches past the red can. She turned around and sent it flying a moment later, however.
"Green!"
This time, she missed by much more, and the roundabout trip took a considerable amount of time.
"Yell-"
Tora, by then, had crashed into a tree, having grown a bit too dizzy to concentrate. It was hard to see while spinning!
Michael sighed. "We've got some work to do on this one."

Out of Sam's pokeball a small weed like pokemon sprang out. Bringing out her pokedex Robin scanned it in revealing the data of Oddish. Out of her own pokeball Raz appeared doing a few flips in his excitement. Putting her pokedex away Robin grinned this was going to be a fun battle.
"All right Raz use your Double Team!" Raz nodded determinedly and started vibrating fast enough that soon enough a second image of the Yanma appeared making it seem like there were two.
The small Oddish seemed almost scared of the two Yanma's now. It gave a small cry and looked back at Sam with worried eyes. "Don't worry Oddish, use your Sweet Scent attack." Sam encouraged. Nodding the small plant shook itself violently causing a bunch of pink powder to spill from it. The moment the cloud of powder hit Raz he seemed to slow down some what as the smell caused his body to relax. The moment he slowed down though the second illusion of him flickered for a second before fading away.
"Smart move using Sweet Scent to get rid of my Double Team. Ok then Raz looks like we need to get a little more offensive! Lets use your Sonic Boom attack!" Robin pointed forward dramatically, on her shoulder Luffy mimicked the move liking it while to the side Ampersand shook his head and sighed. It seemed Raz also liked the dramatic show as he gave a small little happy cry as his Speed Boost ability activated and he zoomed forward. Zipping past the Oddish and flipping back as the attack hit the grass pokemon.
The Oddish gave a small cry and tumbled backwards as the attack hit its small body. "Hang in there Oddish!" Sam called out feeling a bit worried as he watched his pokemon push itself back up. "Great job! Now lets get some of your health back with your Absorb." He encouraged. Looking determined the Oddish rushed over to where Raz was buzzing about and jumped up onto the surprised Yanma. Raz let out a small squeak before he started to fly around fast trying to buck the Oddish off of him. For its part the Oddish held on fast sucking the Yanma's health out. It was a good thing that Razputin had the type advantage.

Jaeshan watched the two kids battle for a little while longer before he stood up and stretched, ready to continue. Surprisingly, no one paid him any interest as he wandered down the path, which he almost found to be a little disappointing. He wouldn't mind a battle or two, especially since he wanted both Beldum and Combusken to get in ample training today. The day was still fairly young, as it was just after lunch, and before long Jaeshan found himself at the entrance to Rusturf Tunnel.
There was a commotion from somewhere behind him, and as Jaeshan turned to look, a man dressed in black was dashing towards him, carrying some sort of strange parcel in his hands. There were several other people running behind him, shouting various words like 'thief' and 'stop him!'
Now, Jaeshan wasn't usually one to get himself mixed up in other people's business, but judging by the way the accused was running, and the fact that his chasers were all wearing guard uniforms, the trainer figured he'd do something to help. Jaeshan took a bit of a step back, and then casually held out his right leg just as the thief ran by, causing him to trip and fall flat on his face and also onto the parcel (Jaeshan winced, hoping the package didn't contain anything fragile). It was quite a comical scene, and as the perpetrator got to his feet, a string of curses was flowing from his mouth like a river. "You! You'll pay for that!" he shouted, taking a step towards Jaeshan. He hesitated however, when he saw the group of guards coming towards him, and he continued fleeing into Rusturf Tunnel.
Without thinking, Jaeshan chased after him, not even paying attention as the cavern plunged him into a mild darkness. Wishing Mightyena was with him, Jaeshan went with the next best thing and tossed a Pokeball, revealing Butterfree. "Stop him, Butterfree!" he hollered, hearing his own voice echo through the tunnel as Butterfree flew forward, flapping her wings quickly to generate a strong gust of wind. The force of it knocked the thief to the ground once again, and this time as he stood up, he left the parcel on the ground.
"Stay out of this, kid!" the man yelled, and even in the dark Jaeshan could make out a distinctive red 'R' standing out on his chest. "Unless you wanna get hurt!"
"You shouldn't take things that don't belong to you," Jaeshan said in a condescending manner, as the man was easily ten years older than Jaeshan. "I'm just being a good Samaritan."
"You'll pay!" the Rocket shouted, snatching up a Pokeball from his belt and hurling it at Jaeshan. A small, dark Pokemon materialized in front of him, and Jaeshan easily recognized it as a Poochyena. He inclined his head, indicating for Butterfree to back off for now before he threw a Pokeball of his own.
"We'll just see about that."

Tora tried again, and again, and again. After the first time, the number of cans she was able to hit in one go slowly but surely increased, with Michael helping with hints that could help her. She was beginning to like him, even if he'd made her a little mad in the beginning. He was gentle when he spoke and his constructive criticism left her determined to get it right. "Cans don't make sounds or any impact on the ground, so you'll have to depend on eyesight alone for this exercise," he said, "which will be tougher for you, but still very possible. Yes, it'll make you dizzy, but work on focusing on your target alone; that should help."
After about seven quick rounds, M.A. decided to call a break. The Phanpy wearily walked over to her, plopping down on the ground once she was at her trainer's side. "That was terrific! You went from just two cans to five without getting any slower," she said, smiling at the Long Nose Pokemon proudly. Tora managed to nod, although her head was still feeling a bit disoriented from all the spinning. The last round was the toughest, as she was getting tired and it was harder to focus.
Michael walked about the training field, picking up the cans that Tora had smashed beyond recognition. Even though she had merely knocked them over, they were crushed into little blobs. Good power, he thought. Endurance could use a little work, but this one's got potential if they put some work into it.
"Ulani, Daemyn, come on out here," Michael said, welcoming them out to the battlefield. "Your turn."

Ulani's a playful one; she's good at dodging and her speed's fine, but when it comes to attacking, she could grow a little stronger. Daemyn, on the other hand, has plenty of firepower, but he's not so good when it comes to evading or defense, even though he's got enough speed. Earlier that morning, Michael had discussed with M.A. what he'd seen of her Pokemon in the two battles he'd witnessed. They had discussed some training ideas, but it was M.A. who came up with the next one.
"Hey 'Lani, Daemyn," she said smiling, squatting to get closer to their eye level. "You two will be working together for this one, alright?" The two glanced at each other, Ulani with mischief flaring in her eyes and Daemyn with a well-founded sense of mistrust. Michael noted this, and smiled a bit to himself -- this next exercise would help their sense of teamwork, as M.A. had hoped.
"You'll both be fighting first Spade, then Grace, both for a few minutes. But! This won't be a normal battle. Daemyn, they will only be going after you, but you're not to attack; Ulani, your only job is to attack, and, if possible, direct attacks away from Daemyn."
Daemyn pouted. He did not like this arrangement. Running away instead of fighting back!

Michael chuckled at the interaction between the two young Pokemon. M.A.'s Pokemon were cute, just like his sister, he thought fondly. "Alright Ulani. Neither Spade nor Grace will intentionally be avoiding your attacks, but it'll still be a challenge to get them, I daresay. And Daemyn -- you'll see that Spade has a very hard time turning, so his attacks are pretty straight-forward. But you better be quick," he grinned, patting the Linoone's head for nodding for him to enter their make-shift battle field. "Remember, Spade, Grace, nothing too heavy here, alright?"
The Linoone nodded once before he shot forward like a bullet from a holster, the stripes on his fur making him look like a straight lightning-bolt. Daemyn hardly had time to let his eyes adjust before he felt the Linoone's skull tap his shoulder. Even if it was a light attack, the pup felt himself sliding backwards from the force -- Spade's strength came from his momentum. Spade, however, continued to speed past, turning ten meters behind Daemyn and making another sharp turn to face the Houndour again.
M.A. nodded to herself. That's right, Spade could never made round turns. But if Daemyn could adjust himself to another opponent's tempo, he'd be able to dodge him much easier... Spade was easy to predict, but difficult to avoid nevertheless.
"Let's go, Ulani!" she called, urging to the bird to move. "Try your Fury Attack." The bird nodded, darting after Spade, who was running towards Daemyn again. She strained her wings, trying to keep up, and managed to get one peck in before suddenly, the Linoone made an abrupt 90 degree turn -- not so much in response to Ulani, but to get himself in position to make another charge at Daemyn.
Ulani got left behind, and with an angry huff, proceeded to try and catch up another time.

He skidded to a halt, panting wildly. Running back and forth, carrying just a large amount of weight, was starting to become tiring. He stared down at his foe, the elegant Scizor, and roared. She didn't flinch. As if he could scare her. After all, it was one of Kilik's Pokemon and she wouldn't be intimidated by a fellow member of her master's team. Feigning a yawn and poising herself for the attack, Scizor heard her master call for another Quick Attack. This was definitely going nowhere fast.
But that upcoming nowhere was going to become an upcoming something. The more Lairon battled, the stronger he would become. "And the stronger he gets, the sooner he'll evolve!" Kilik cheered, punching the air with his fist. Nobody was around so he felt that he could act as goofy as he pleased. Bahamut glanced over at her trainer then sat up on her legs, scratching her belly. The Flygon was getting kind of hungry, but she wasn't sure if there were any berry trees around here. Her goggled eyes looked over at Kilik with a longing. Then there was a loud rumbling from her stomach.
"What is...Oh." Kilik laughed, scratching his head. He looked around. "This is about the Route that the Berry Master lives if I can recall it correctly..." he scratched his chin, glancing up at the battling Lairon and Scizor. Steel claws clanged loudly against the armor plating covering the behemoth's head. "Daddy brought me over here once to see him. Eevee was in the mood for a Chesto Berry and there aren't any by Verdanturf..." After he was done recalling on childhood memories, Kilik patted Bahamut's shoulder.
"Go ahead and find a berry tree. You know where we are." Squealing happily, she flew up into the air and off to the horizon. Kilik crossed his arms and closed his eyes, listening intently on the sounds of the battle. He could feel every step Lairon took and hear the movement of Scizor's arms as they came down to strike. He sighed and opened his eyes. This is what it was all about.

This time, Daemyn was prepared.
Which made it even more surprising when Spade managed to get to him a second time, even though he'd jumped out of the way. "A bit too slow," Michael said from the sidelines. Daemyn snarled in response, although if Michael hadn't said anything, he would've been confused as to why he'd been hit.
Ulani slammed into him a moment later, having focused so hard on catching up to Spade she hadn't seen anything else, not even her teammate. Daemyn growled at her angrily, and she hopped off his head sheepily, sitting on the floor for a moment to rest. Jeez, that speed demon! Michael had been right when he said it'd be hard to get them, even if they weren't focusing on evading Ulani -- in fact, they were acting as if she wasn't even there. Well, she was going to change that!
Ulani waited for Spade to turn towards Daemyn once more, knowing that once he did, he wouldn't change direction again. With determination flashing in her eyes, she shot towards the Linoone as he sped towards them.
Ulani's well-aimed first attack nailed the Linoone between the eyes, which gave him quite a splitting headache and stopped him in his tracks. She proceeded to peck at him mercilessly, although after that first contact it didn't hurt him too badly. Finally! She'd got him.
"Remember, your target is Daemyn," Michael reminded gently when the Linoone looked like he was about bite the annoying bird's head off. It'd been a while since Spade had battled last, so he was a bit rusty and tended to go into instinct rather than remember instructions. "But good job, Ulani! What about Daemyn, though?"
The bird had been so busy celebrating her momentary victory that she'd forgotten she was supposed to help out Daemyn over there too, and to her dismay Spade was already zooming towards him.

Daemyn watched the Linoone with an unflincing concentration, unmoving as the lightning bolt came closer, closer, closer still...
At the very last moment, he pouched, and it appeared as if he had hopped on that striped bullet and flipped off. He didn't land perfectly, having misjudged the speed slightly, but that was irrelevant -- what was important was that he had judged the speed at all and evaded the attack.
Michael grinned. Even if Spade was rusty, getting out of the way fast enough was still quite an accomplishment, especially for a younger Pokemon like Daemyn. "So you've got the timing down, finally. Let's practice that a few more times. . ."
Spade gradually increased his speed, so Daemyn had to reassess every attack that Ulani let through. She found that she could get Spade to wince and veer off if she found pecked certain sensitive areas -- pressure points, apparently. Within a few rounds, she'd found plenty of accessible pressure points and hit them harder and harder, pushing harder and harder with her wings.
"Enough, that's fine. If we keep going, Spade'll be the sore one here," Michael said, smiling. The Linoone was frowning, bits and parts of his body aching from that annoying bird's pecks. Michael motioned for Spade to sit in his lap and proceeded to massage him, his hard hands melting the tightness away; the Pokemon purred, loving every moment of it.
"Grace, you're next!"

Combusken eagerly burst from her Pokeball, raring to fight. I hope we can bide enough time for those guards to catch up, Jaeshan thought, studying the Poochyena carefully. Going by the fact that it hadn't yet evolved into Mightyena seemed to be a giveaway that it wasn't an overly strong Pokemon, but then again some Pokemon did refuse to evolve and were still quite strong without having achieved that evolution. "Be careful, Combusken," Jaeshan warned as the thief ordered the Poochyena to attack. Its four paws skittered across the cavern's floor, and it growled the entire time it was running before it thrust its shoulder forward, attempting to hit Combusken with a Tackle attack. The nimble fighter easily evaded, dancing out of the way and swiping at the Poochyena with her claws, even though she missed by quite a bit as well.
The canine Pokemon pivoted and repeated its attack, snarling viciously as it neared its opponent. Once again Combusken hopped out of the way, but this time she didn't attempt to attack. She closed her eyes and folded her clawed 'hands', feeling a rush of adrenalin as she focused her energy and psyched herself up for the battle. When she opened her eyes again, she was just in time to spot the oncoming Poochyena, again trying to Tackle her to the ground. However, even with her newfound focus it was impossible to evade fully, and the little pooch landed a glancing blow on her hip, which stung quite a bit. Upon its somewhat successful attack, the thief commanded it to use Howl, and its eerie cries echoed throughout the cavern, causing both Jaeshan and Combusken to shiver a little. "Ember attack!" Jaeshan shouted, hoping to help Combusken shake it off. She hopped up and spewed a burst of small flames from her beak, which to her dismay was easily evaded by her target. With all this dodging going on, both Pokemon were starting to get annoyed.

Moeder let out a roar as the Water Pulse sloshed up against her belly, grunting and glaring at the turtle Pokemon angrily. The attack itself didn't bother her it all, it was the fact that it's trainer had insulted Levi, and that was not cool in her opinion. She heard Keegan shout out for a Mega Punch, and she was glad to oblige, charging towards the offending water type and rearing back her massive fist, a glowing aura of energy surrounding it as she thrust it towards the Wartortle.
Salt and Pepper grinned at the display of the Kangaskhan's power, and looked to his Flareon with a nod. "Go Flareon, attack the other one! Bite attack, now!" His voice was sharp with authority, and it was reflected in his Flareon's quick response. It gave a bark and dashed forward, its bushy tail fanning out behind it as it bared its fangs and prepared to sink them into the Marshtomp. ==== Sparkle cried out when the Clefairy's paw came slamming down onto the top of her head, knocking her to the ground and taking her breath away with it. The pink fairy backed off for a second, knowing that her opponent was still young and inexperienced. Sparkle slowly got to her feet wobbling a little as she did so. However, she wasn't ready to give up yet and fired off another Thundershock at Miharu's command. Their practicing from earlier seemed to have did the trick though, as the Mareep scored a direct hit. The Clefairy seemed to shake it off at first, but after a moment or two it realized it couldn't move - the electric attack had caused paralysis.

"Again!" Jaeshan's voice echoed throughout the cavern, and a flash lit up the area as Combusken spat another burst of small flames at the Poochyena. This time it wasn't able to effectively dodge the attack, and it was now sporting singed fur where the embers had struck it. Perhaps the canine wasn't as tough as Jaeshan had imagined, but it didn't matter now, as he had to hold off the thief long enough for those guards to catch up.
"This is useless!" the Rocket shouted, tugging at his hair in frustration. "I'll show you!" he shouted desperately, and flung a second Pokeball. A small, blue bat appeared from it, easily recognizable as a Zubat. It screeched and swooped down at Combusken, landing a painful Bite attack on her shoulder. The Fire-type cried out in pain, and vainly tried to fight back with a Scratch, but missed by a mile.
"Two on one isn't fair!" Jaeshan yelled, feeling a strange urge to dole out some justice. "We'll just have to even the odds! Let's go, Beldum! Take Down! Zubat, go!" With a rain of silvery sparkles, Beldum appeared. It seemed to be still pretty psyched from its previous victory, and didn't hesitate to shoot forward like a comet and bash into the Zubat, stopping it from using another Bite attack on Combusken. This left an opening for the fighter to jump up and let out another Ember. Jaeshan smiled; teamwork was good.

Needless to say, the Wartortle's confident smirk quickly melted into a look of terror as Moeder's glowing fist came down upon it, and the force of the Mega Punch sent the turtle spiraling over backwards where it came to rest on its shell quite helplessly. Its legs, arms and tail were all flailing about as it tried to get back to its feet. However, Baldy's confidence didn't waver in the slightest as he looked down at his Pokemon. "Rapid Spin!" he barked. Using a burst of water like a jet, the Wartortle propelled itself forward, spinning at an incredible speed towards Moeder.
Meanwhile, Levi had been unable to get out of the way of the Flareon's attack, and its fangs sunk heavily into her right forearm quite painfully. The Marshtomp let out a cry, swatting at the fox with her free arm in a desperate attempt to free herself. "Now Levi! Point-blank Water Gun!" Kasiya shouted, hoping the proximity of the Flareon would mean Levi wouldn't have a hard time hitting it. The Marshtomp locked eyes with the Flareon and growled, opening her mouth and shooting out a stream of water.
((I knew I said I wasn't gonna do the double post thing but this time it seemed... convenient. ))
