Ryou nodded then jumped so quickly at seeing Malik he nearly ended up in Yugi's lap. What was he doing here?! Better yet, was there a Shadow Realm nearby holding a knife?!
(By the way guys, I may not post as easily for the next week. I sprained my ankle badly today, and I need to stay off it as much as possible for the next week.)

Malik blinked and smiled nervously. Great.... he hated being the center of attention of people like these....that he didnt really give a good first impression to.
"Hello, Yuugi." the Egyptian greeted, giving a small wave. He looked quickly around the table and gave a small nod to the people he knew, yet somehow wanted to forget.
"I was...Just passing by and saw you guys come in here..." he said quietly, scratching the back of his head. Great... Now I'll have to tell them why I'm back here... he thought, sighing silently.

((Ouch! I hope your ankle feels better and no worries! D: )) "That's cool. It's great to see you again." Jounouchi said with a smile. Suddenly his smile turned into a look of surprise and part-annoyance as he glanced past Malik and noticed Kaiba was here too. "Kaiba?!"

Yuugi smiled softly. "It's nice to see you, Malik. Would you like to join-" He was interrupted by Jounouchi's exclamation, and winced, glancing at the billionare. Ah well, so much for not saying anything and keeping the peace.
Knowing things were about to get chaotic, Yuugi stared sightlessly at the menu. Even with his friends talking, even Jounouchi yelling at Kaiba.... somehow, everything seemed so strangely quiet.

Seto stopped where he was, in the midst of tossing out his trash, and groaned internally. 'It's always that damn mutt.' He threw everything out and straightened up, looking as haughty as ever, and sent a sneer over to Jou. "I thought they didn't let dogs into restaurants. Your fleas would get the place shut down."
(That's totally fine. We don't want you getting hurt more.)

(@Cloth~...How the heck does spraining your ankle prevent you from going online? =/ Eh...whatever.)
Malik sighed as Jonouchi made Kaiba's presence known. Knowing the blonde's not-so-friendly feelings toward the cold CEO, the Egyptian could tell this wasnt going to be a nice reunion between them all. Ah, well.
Malik glanced around the table quickly again, immediatley notcing Yuugi's melancholy expression glazed over his usually cheerful mood. Shrugging it off, he glanced at Anzu, trying to hide a scowl. Then over to the lone Ryou Bakura. That boy is always so quiet..., the Egyptian thought, studying the pale teen's features carefully.
Back in Egypt during the Celestial Battle between Atemu and Yuugi, Malik noticed how meek Ryou was; always standing in the very back of the crowd, barely saying two words throughout the whole time. The Egyptian was suprised Ryou was out with the rest of the gang for fast food; he'd expect the platinum-haired teen to be reading quietly on a night like this.
Shrugging it off again, he looked back at Yuugi. "It's nice to see you, too, Yuugi." he said, smiling. "But I just came in to say hello. I'm not...a big fan of this kind of food, to be honest."

(Well, my dad wanted me to stay off it as much as possible, so he said I couldn't be on the computer. So...I'm sneaking on during the day.)
As a matter of fact, as the situation quickly exploded he huddled down against the seat, fidgeting with his shirt hem. He could feel someone, likely Malik, staring at him and tilted his head in his direction.
As for the reading, normally, yes he would. However, he generally ended up out with them, even if he didn't always want to. He flinched at Kaiba and Jounouchi's spat, waiting for the first punch.

Jounouchi's face flushed in anger and embarresment as he angrilly took a step towards Kaiba, "What did you say?! I'm not a dog! A-and I don't have fleas!"

He smirked as he crossed his arms, causing him look even more superior in comparison to Jou's disheveled appearance. Oh hell, he could afford some time to piss the low class duelist off some more. It did do wonders on his nerves.
"Must be old too if your hearing is starting to go. You heard me pup and it's clear you have fleas if you can't even protest without stuttering."

Yuugi looked up, unable to stand for anyone talking to his friends like that. "Kaiba, I'm sure you have far better things to do," the words were unusually terse, especially for the usually friendly violet eyed duelist, but Yuugi was in a bad mood, dammit. He looked ot Jounouchi, softening immediately. "Jounouchi, please let it go... it's not worth it..." Really, part of Yuugi regretted his words. They weren't unkind, but they certainly weren't friendly or welcome.... more like the nice way of saying 'don't let the door hit you on the way out.' Then again, it wasn't as if Seto ever enjoyed the kind words either.... Seto probably wouldn't even notice...

If it was anyone but Seto Kaiba, they would've double taked at Yuugi's statement. Seeing as it was him, he merely cast a slightly curious glance at the boy. Things certainly were turning out different from the status quo today.
"Ah, but if your 'friend' starts something with me, I clearly have to teach him his place," he taunted slightly. It wasn't as though he could do anything to Seto, so he figured he might as well find out what was with the King of Games.
Then he noticed something he had missed during his little spat with Jou. "Where's that stupid pyramid you always have?" Yuugi was never seen without it, so something must have happened to it. Maybe he would get some answers about everyone's strange depressive air.

Jounouchi was about to back down, wanting to respect Yuugi's request, but was immediatly drawn back out to anger once Kaiba spoke up. Not having time to protest before the CEO commented on Yuugi's Puzzle, Jounouchi felt himself get even more infuriated, "It is *not* a stupid pyramid! Don't you dare talk about it that way!" he shouted defensively. He couldn't let Kaiba talk about it as if it were a casual pendant when that puzzle meant so much to Yuugi, him, and all of their friends.

Yuugi couldn't stop the look of pain and loss that briefly crossed his features at the question, and he looked away from Kaiba. He wanted to tell him it was gone, or that it was none of his business, but he didn't trust his voice. 'How many more times will I be asked... reminded?' Seto would never believe, much less understand, what the puzzle had represented, what it WAS. It wasn't a hunk of gold that Yuugi had lost, but a part of himself, a being that connected wtih his very SOUL.
((Sorry for posting before others got a responce, though I did want to have Yuugi's initial/brief reaction there. x3))
