ArynChris A.C. ignored her, keeping her eyes on Jarred with a shark's grin. "Girl, I just had some crazy voodoo girl try and eat my soul. I'm in a trigger-happy mood, so I'd advise you hand it over before I shoot you. Last warning."

Burning Disaster "Arix." He informed before moving back to the other side of the room to see how Jarred would deal with AC. "Arix," Pendari repeated with a polite nod. She then moved down the hallway, other things prominent in her mind.

Her orange eyes glowed a little brighter and she asked him in a raspy whisper, "You really think that would stop me? You think any of you can stop the Rasfta? Shoot me all you want, you stupid foreigner. Your gun can't save you. Nothing can save y--""A.C.!"She froze, eyes going instantly flat and plain orange."Cut it out, girly," the Rogue growled from the table. "I can hear what you're saying, and I don't like it."A.C.'s mouth work soundlessly for a moment, then she stood up and spun on the table in rage. "He's a f'ct foreigner! He's trying to threaten me! S'cueristo rasfta, coni--""Shut it." She was looking at A.C., but no one would be at the right angle to see the woman's face. "A, your grammar is f'ct, and b, you're not a Rough here. You're a dumb kid to them, they don't care, they don't know. Hiss con duri mato. You understand, A.C.? You are not Rasfta here. Now help me off the kuri't table."A.C. helped her up, still obviously angry, and whispered something in Lanita's ear, nodding smugly when the woman gave her a sharp look.

"You people are really good at the stalling bit." Jarred sighed, lowering his gun slightly. "Your friend has a key card that belongs to us."

Arix chuckled quietly at the scene then moved over toward Lia, not wanting to be near any possible gunfire. "Hi."

Arch the Angel "You people are really good at the stalling bit." Jarred sighed, lowering his gun slightly. "Your friend has a key card that belongs to us." Lanita looked at A.C.A.C. shrugged. "No idea." She sounded honest and completely uncaring.Lanita's eyes narrowed. She pulled a red handkerchief out of her pocket, folded it in half by the corners, and tied it behind her head, over her nose and mouth, bandit style.A strange and complicated expression crossed A.C.'s face as she did this, as if the kid wasn't sure whether to be excited, scared, or suspicious. "What is it?""I passed a rumor about a card." The Rogue knelt down in front of Jarred slowly, careful not to reopen her vivid wounds. She still didn't smell to great up close, although the rotting smell was significantly less than before. "I woke up at A.C.'s threats. What key card, and what lock?"

((My apologies for the lack of response. I haven't been home all week, been staying with a friend, nursing my unhealthy addiction to Team Fortress 2. Sooo... Sorry. I also have absolutly no idea what has gone on in my absence.)) Jarred "You people are really good at the stalling bit." Jarred sighed, lowering his gun slightly. "Your friend has a key card that belongs to us." Jarred's PDA began to beep insistantly once more, another text-only message.

Syx leveled her gaze at Lanita. "The key card looks like this." She held one of the cards. "If we don't get it we won't be able to unlock the ship, and if we can't unlock the ship, we die here...whether by waisting away in space, or getting killed by another wave of the kore."

((*Chuck L.* Write. Wii waist. rofl Forgive me. I just went through the whole scene with Lenden on dA about using the word-switching. Lol to Steube's game addictions.))
The Rogue met the mashal's eyes levelly and stood. She held out her gloved left hand for the card Syx held in silence.

(( xd You give me a break on my homophone mixup, and I'll let you pass on the misplaced modifier.))
Syx looked at her a moment, then handed over the card. "We need these to get out of here alive. As unreasonable as all of you folks can be, I'd think you'd be willing to work with us, considering your lives are on the line as well."

((*forgets what a modifier is, guesses* That was edited. It was even worse bfore, and I will not be held responsible for it.))
The Rogue rubs her thumb on the card and tilted it into the light. "Unreasonable usually means unwilling to do something you want done. To me, it is the man with the gun who is unreasonable, for he cannot speak without threats."
She handed the card back, looking her in the eyes. In a reasonable tone, she said, "My life was forfeit a long time ago, as was A.C.'s. The wounds were left untreated and disguised in the hope I would be too weak to excape and would die in captivity. And revenge, of course. The kid has never lived nor had anything to lose by it, if you ask her.
"Pretty card. Given the circumstances, there are worse deaths." The Rogue flicked her eyes to Lia with a small nod of thanks and headed for the door.
A.C. followed.
