"Alright," Amuriel replied, smiling. "If you want to give it a try, then I wouldn't mind."
Finally finishing her drink, she unfolded the cup and placed the leaf off to the side before shifting forms. As an elder once again, she was much more comfortable. She stretched out on the bed, flat on her stomach, and glanced over at Maelthra, wondering how he would fare at attempting to massage an elder much larger than his human form.

It definitely was going to be an interesting task, to work at the muscles of someone that was currently much bigger than himself. But Maelthra was determined to give it a shot. Grinning, he stood up and stepped forth, thinking about how he was going to do this.
For now he can start with her forelegs. So he moved towards her right arm and gently worked at the upper portion, feeling her soft fur run by his fingers as he did so.
"Is this doing anything?" he asked, not entirely sure if he was doing it correctly or not.

As she felt Maeltrha begin to work at her arm muscles, Amuriel closed her eyes and rested her muzzle lightly against his shoulder. She smiled, feeling her muscles in her arm relax further under his massaging touch.
"That's definitely helping love..." she replied, enjoying the feel of the massage so far. She flicked her tail from side to side happily, purring softly.

Smiling, Maelthra nodded as he worked away at her. He went on from her arms to her back and neck, which he had to sit on top of her in order to reach it well. From there, he worked at her hind legs, and eventually her entire tail. The task proved to be tiring to him, but he didn't mind. It was making Amuriel feel more relaxed and today was all about her anyway.
And just the soft purr she let out made things much more worth it, as that proved she was enjoying his work.
When he finished, he let out a small sigh before grinning and sitting down before her. He was going to need to take a small break before going to do the next thing he planned, but he was satisfied still.
"How did that feel love?"

Purring still, Amuriel sighed and smiled, relaxed and peaceful from Maelthra's workings. Her body felt much more at ease, and in turn, her mind did as well. She pushed her muzzle forward and nuzzled his chest gently while rubbing her cheek against his.
"Mmm... that felt wonderful. I feel much more relaxed now. Thank you so much love... " she said, smiling and purring contently.

Still smiling softly, Maelthra took her muzzle in his hands and gently stroked her fur while nuzzling her in return. She looked so much more relaxed now, which made him feel happy deep within. It was always nice to see her like this, as opposed to being nervous or frightened..
"Anything for you my love... But I'm not quite done yet."
Chuckling softly, he nuzzled her once again before standing up and stretching. He took a moment to fetch something that appeared to be a brush made out of bone.
"After the massage... you get to be groomed."
Grinning, he stepped forth and tilted his head slightly, wanting to make sure this was alright with Amuriel before starting anything.

Amuriel watched Maelthra curiously, wondering what exactly he meant by not quite being done yet. When he produced a bone brush, she grinned and flicked her tail again. It had been so long since she had been able to reach all of her fur like she needed; bending so much was a chore.
"Mmm... that would be really nice," she purred, smiling. "I've had some tangles in my fur I haven't been able to get out. It's always pleasant to feel groomed."

"I figured, so you're going to get a bit of grooming now."
Chuckling, Maelthra stretched out one last time before carefully beginning to brush the fur on the top of her head. He was being careful in the case he caught onto a tangled area. After all, he didn't want to end up yanking out some of his mate's fur.
Slowly, he worked his way from her head to her tail, being sure to get each square inch of her. Or at least he tried to. It was also a bit of a tiring task as there was a lot of fur, but he really didn't mind. Unconsciously, he just hummed lightly while he brushed her fur. If he could, he would have washed her before doing this, but bathing in the forest was a bit different than in the human lands.

As Maelthra worked at her fur, Amuriel closed her eyes and allowed herself to enjoy the tension. She could almost feel her body being cleansed. Though she hadn't been bathed, having her fur brushed free of tangles and debris was relieving enough.
After a while, she noticed he began to hum. Tilting her head, she listened to him, feeling the same tranquility pass over her that she had noticed occurred whenever he sang or hummed. She wasn't sure if it was because of the music itself or if it was because Maelthra was the one performing it, but she had gotten used to feeling herself slip into a state of mind-numbing bliss. Generally, she lost focus and control over her body, then fell asleep for a short while afterwards. The feeling it left her with, though, was worth the odd state.
As her mind and body calmed even further due to Maelthra's actions and voice, she lowered her head to the bed and felt her body to relax completely.

Maelthra noticed Amuriel relaxing as he hummed and brushed her fur. Smiling at this, he just went ahead and continued his actions before finishing up with brushing her fur out. Once that was was done, he cleaned the bone brush and set it aside before shifting into his true form once more.
With a yawn, he layed down beside his mate, watching over her as she rested. Perhaps... a little after she woke up he would speak to her some. Though before that, he wanted to see if she wanted any more water or anything else.
Sighing softly, he nuzzled his love and rested his head down against hers, smiling from her current peaceful state.
"I love you..."

For a while Amuriel slept, breathing easily and resting peacefully. When she awoke, she yawned lightly and began to lift her head before noticing Maelthra's beside her own. She smiled at him and lifted her muzzle a little to lick the side of his own. He was so caring and handsome..
For the moment, she had completely forgotten about the things that had been haunting her for the past few months. She couldn't forget about her babies, but the rest... had been subdued in her mind. When she looked at her mate, all she saw in him was the goodness and love that he brought her. Even her body felt at ease due to his actions. Her muscles were relaxed and her fur felt silky. Content, she began to purr quietly again, nestling against Maelthra gently.

When he saw that Amuriel had awakened, Maelthra smiled and nuzzled her before licking her lightly. From there he blanketed her with his wing, lightly embracing her with it as well.
"How do you feel now love..? And do you need anything?"
It made him feel so happy within to see her so at peace, and he didn't want to have to break that. So he decided to wait a little longer before speaking up about anything else. It would be better to let her bask in the tranquility of the day and to approach her about it a little later on.
"My love..." he whispered while nuzzling her gently once again.

Amuriel pulled her body together somewhat tighter to snug down against Maelthra under his wing, purring and nuzzling his side happily.
"I feel really good," she replied, smiling and meaning her words. "I think... for now... I don't need anything at all.
Just you here," she added, curling her tail around her body and stretching her head out slightly so that her entire body was under his wing and only her head remained out, beside his. Being embraced like this, she felt very protected and very safe.

"That makes me happy to hear..."
Smiling softly, he nuzzled her gently while thinking to himself. He didn't have anything else planned aside from the confrontation now. And with his love feeling so good right now, it made him really reluctant to speak up about it as he felt it would probably bring her down from this tranquil state of mind.
Perhaps he could try leading into it slowly...
"You know love... I've been doing some thinking lately.. and I figured some things out that could mean good news possibly..."

Being happy and tranquil, Amuriel didn't even begin to think of what it could be that he seemed to want to bring up with her. At the moment, she was thinking positively, if she was thinking at all, so she simply lifted her head to give him her attention, hearing a restrained tone of seriousness in his voice. Still, she was not anxious. She felt a slight jab of worry, but being so engulfed by her lover and his actions, it soon dissipated.
"Hm? What's on your mind love?" she asked, stretching out her muzzle so she could lick the side of his cheek tenderly.
