Fay struggled to follow through the medititation, but it seemed like he couldn't concentrate through the pain. Another part of him didn't want to go into a meditative state, naturally visions came to him when he did this. He was afraid of having visions, terrified that he would see Darren, suffering, alone in his exile far below the earth. It was unlikely his love would survive, Fay couldn't breing himself to believe that Darren was suffering.

Sharu watched Aiko, not likeing how reserved he was being. He growled and than crawled up, swatting at Aiko with his paw. Aiko laughed and pushed Sharu down. "Behave." he whispered as quietly as he could.

Fay was disturbed from his meditation by the soft vioce, he wasn't used to hearing words, so he was easily disturbed by it. He glanced at Aiko from under pale lashes, actually greatful for the distraction. "You may speak..." The words were soft, almost inaudable, hardly seeming like they came from Fay. The only thing that gave away where they came from was the cleansing gesture Fay made after.

Aiko was shocked when Fay spoke to him, he didnt think that the man would have tolerated it, he stopped moveing for a moment, unsure if he should actually talk to the man. "Thank you." he murmured to the man in his own language.

Fay felt a deep sarrow fill him as he heard Aiko's vioce, Darren had said the same thing when they'd first met. The first time they'd seen eachother Darren had visited the temple to pray for his dieing mother. Fay closed his eyes at the memory, and quickly shoved it away to the back of his mind. "You need not request my permition to do as you please..." He responded.

Aiko frowned a little, not understanding how Fay could say that. "But the law says.." he cut himself off and sighed, running his hand through his hair.

Fay looked up at Aiko, for the first time actually looking into his eyes, if only for a second before he looked away, his culture to engrained, so that he couldn't help but look away. "Do you know so little of our culture?" He asked softly. "I am not here becuase I chose to be... what do you think that means?"

Aiko wasnt looking at Fay, his dark eyes makeing it hard to discern what direction he was looking in, so he did not see when Fay looked into his eyes. "...You are an exile as well?" he asked, he really did not know much of their culture, he had been forced from it at a young age and because of this had not learned as much as he many others would have

Fay shrugged, grimacing when he did. "Priests are not supposed to love..." He responded, simply, his eyes closing as sarrow took over.

Aiko smiled a little, he wouldnt have guessed that would be why the man had been exiled. "Oh." he said simply. "Is that why you're hurt?"

Fay nodded slowly. "Among other things. I was whipped for my indiscretions against the priesthood. They hoped that by going through the cleansing process I would become who I once was..."

"But you didnt? Did you?" he asked and lightly stroked the leathery skin of Sharu's wings. Sharu was asleep now, relaxed now that his charge was not so stressed

Fay chuckled sadly. "Not in the least." He responded, he was starting to feel hot so he pushed the hood off his head, finally revealing his face fully. He pressed a hand to his forehead, where a headache was developing.

Aiko looked up as he saw the movement from the corner of his eye and he looked over Fay before looking away again. "You should sleep, you don't look to good."

Fay shook his head. "I do not wish to sleep any longer..." He responded. He carefully adjusted the folds of his robe.
