[read my IM]

Rose happily watched the kids play until a patrol guard came down the street. He yelled at everyone telling them to get back to work and knocked the little kids over. That seemed to piss her off alright.

"Hey. Watch where yer goin!" Her face was hooded so the only way he was able to tell it was a woman was by the voice. Carefully she picked up the two kids so they were standing up right. Brushing them off her voice was gentle, "Are you alright? No worries its just a small scratch. It will get better soon. I promise." The kids nodded at her and ran back to the mother hiding behind her while she worked.

"Well lil missy what do you think your doing? You don't have no rights to talk to me in that tone." The guard was angry.

"Well sir you shouldn't go knocking little children over. It's quiet rude. Didn't you the saying 'pick on someone your own size'? It means don't go messing with younger people. Manners, manners." She shook her head and sighed.

"Thats enough back talk!" He grabbed her arm and dragged her along with him. This wasn't very good for her. If she wanted she could kill him but not infront of all those people.

Calison was now walking in the lower districts of Kaiten, a place where there wasn't a whole lot of people with magical talent. In this country those with magic were considered nobles, with the ruler being considered almost a god in his own right. So basically, the more talent with magic you had, the higher up you could get in Kaiten society. If you had no such ability, you were consider one of the lower class.
The young mage soon spotted the commotion that Rose got into with the patrol guard. He immediately ran up to help her out, with him dressed the way he was now, it would have been easy to mistake him for a high class citizen of the city. "Excuse sir, what seems to be the trouble here?" Shard also wanted to help his master seem more of a mage than he really was by straightening out his posture as he sat on Calison's shoulder and stare at the guard. Having a familiar was a mark of status for a talented mage.

Rose had stopped struggling with the guard when she heard Calison's voice. The guard had noticed him too.

"Well sir, she was rebelling against my authority. Not to mention she insulted me." He glared at her as she smiled up at him. He had managed to knock her hood off. "Girl speak up. Do you know this man?" He was hoping she said no so he could be on his way.

Rose looked over at Calison and stuttered. "S-sorry sir. I didn't mean to cause you trouble. I was just going to see some of the preformers when I thought you were alseep. It won't happen again." Then she turned to the guard. "Yes sir, I work for him."

The shocked guard let go of her and walked away annoyed. "Thanks." She looked down feeling stupid. "Sorry, I really didn't mean to be a nuisance. I just wanted to get some fresh air."

Calison placed a reassuring hand on Rose's shoulder, giving Shard a quick opportunity to run over to Rose. The fox licked Rose's face as his master said, "Nothing to worry about, you must of felt uncomfortable in that fancy inn, I understand." He retracted his arm and added, "Best to stay with me while in this particular city, classes of people are more defined here than anywhere else and the upper class want the difference to be enforced."
He beckoned her to follow him as he went into detail of the how the upper class and the lower class were defined by the ability or the lack of the ability of being able to use magic. Wealth also played a small key into the equation, but it was having magic in the first place that earned a person's wealth.

Rose nodded her head still looking down. As she started to walk she turned and waved good-bye to the two kids. They frowned and waved.

They probably don't want me going with him... I understand why too. Everyone just witnessed what happened. I stuck up for my type and in the end I'm following his type.

They continued to walk. She trailed behind Calison thinking. Every here and there people would give her an odd look. She heard them whisper things to eachother but she knew Calison hadn't heard.

"Getting back to the matter at hand...I'll ask the innkeeper about these rumors of the Prince and see if he is in fact in this city," Calison said as he finished his explanation of how things worked in Kaiten. Shard sat on Rose's shoulder and noticed the troubled look on her face. The fox rubbed his cheek against Rose's affectionately, showing his concern.
Calison also took note of how Rose was and asked, "Are you alright?"

(Sorry took me so long)

Hokori had arrived back at Caliphen. He walked toward the palace with what was left of his army. As he entered the main entrance he called out "Servents get me a bath prepared and wash my clothes." He had lost his target. My master will not be happy about this.

"Oh yah I'm fine." She smiled half-heartedly as Shard rubbed against her face.

It's no use. He's right. There's no such thing as the prince. The heir to the throne died that day... I'm a failure. I'm sorry I couldn't finish what you started...

"If you say so then," Calison replied as they headed back towards the inn. "If you want to continue to explore the city, you can if you want, just stay out of trouble; I can't bail you out all the time." He gave her a smile as Shard jumped back onto his master's shoulder. "Keep your key with you so the guards aren't too reluctant to let you back in, if you are going to continue look around the city though. It might even be wise to check the local taverns and pubs to see to check the rumors there."

She shook her head no. "It's fine. I'll stay at the inn. I prefer not to get in trouble." She strolled in and the guards let her in. Continuing up the stairs she unlocked her door and went in. Rose closed it and sat in a chair by the window. Staring out the window her attention started to drift about.

Akane roamed throughout the streets of Kaiten. She smelled the air and felt so good to be home. After finishing some business in her "lair" she roamed around to see if anything had changed while she was gone. To her dismay nothing had changed. She smiled as she could remember taking out those groups of Tor soldiers in the forest. Their faces turned pale and their blood drained from them as they writhed and screamed in utter horror. She was a bit worried about Calison and especially about Rose. She never did get to see how she was. As she sat on the roof of a building one of her men came up to her.
She sighed "I thought I told you never to disturb me."
The soldier trembled as she said this. "Well, ma'am. I am here to report some news."
"This better be important." Wolfbane laid next to her as she scratched his ears.
"Well there's news of newcomers. A boy with a fox on his shoulder and a girl with him. Apparently there was a bit of a scuffle with one of the guards."
"Good. Looks like they're ok."
"What do you want us to do?"
"Continue gathering information on the boy. Also, has our spy reported back with news on the Tor."
"Not yet ma'am."
"Well check on his status." With that the thief went on as she commanded.
"Wolfbane, do you think we should check on them?" The wolf arose and began to wander. She smiled "I'll take that as a yes."

Calison entered the inn shortly after Rose and went to find the innkeeper. One of the inn workers told him that he was in his officer taking care of some accounting, and Calison thanked them as he went down a corridor. He knocked on the door of the office and waited a few moments before a muffled "Come in!" bade him enter.
The innkeeper gave an excited greeting to Calison as he entered, "Well, I'm glad that the tailor fitted them correctly. I was going to send the outfit to the academy a few days from now, but you went and showed up and ruined the surprise packaged present deal." He laughed as he mentioned for Calison to sit down. "What brings you to my office, lad?"
Calison cleared his throat, being all business, "I've heard repeated rumors of a heir of the Caliphen throne being alive and is somewhere in the country of Kaiten...Due to my own reasoning I believe he is here in capital city, what would say to this?"
The innkeeper gave Calison a curious look with a hint of nervousness in his eyes, "W-well, those are but rumor and you're right in assuming it would be wisest to hide the heir behind the walls of Kaiten's capital city if he indeed was alive..."
Calison could tell that he knew more he was letting on, "Come on, you know something...why can't I know about it?"
The innkeeper just gave a sigh and said, "Fine, but you didn't hear it from me..." He lean in close and whispered, "He is indeed in this city...the exact location nobody knows...some guess it's up in the palace, but it's just a guess..."
Calison nodded and thanked the innkeeper for his help. He stood and left the office and innkeeper, who was sweating buckets. I wonder if I should have just told him...he has the right to know better than anyone else... The innkeeper thought to himself as he picked up his quill and continued to tally the results of the last month's income.

He's in a large city now I can reveal myself to him. Usaki thought as Calison left the office and came nearby, Usaki stuck his arm out and halted Calison. He opened his eyes and looked at him. Usaki looked threatening at first but he tried his best to look gentle. He reached near his sword ,but drew a letter. He handed it to Calison which read, Dear Calison Caliphen (Zecron) this is Usaki, a Senators Agent from the Royal bloodline. He is mute so he cannot speak but he will protect you, signed the Caliphen Senate.

Wolfbane ran along the streets with Akane trailing behind him. "Wolfbane! What is it?!" she called out to him somewhat annoyed. Wolfbane stood outside of a hotel and looked inside. Akane looked at him and looked into the hotel. "Do you think they're in here?" The wolf merely laid on the ground. She looked at him and said "I don't know if you're tired or if you're saying that they're here. Oh well..." She entered the inn and scoured the place. She decided to take a seat in the lobby and look at the people passing by.

As Calison was halted he wanted say "Excuse me" in an offended tone, but when he was given the letter, he looked at it and read it through. After finishing it he read through it again several times out of disbelief.
"This is some sort of joke right?" Calison asked, but his eyes fell on the well known wax seal of the senate at the bottom of the page. Despite this he thought there had to be a mistake...there was just no way that this was true and yet here the letter was.
Shard had read the letter along with his master but didn't believe himself. However as the both of them thought it through there was no reason for this to be forgery or anything...as far as they were concerned they were pretty unknown in the country.
