Suru sighed, softly. Another interruption. He checked his watch and shook his head. If he didn't hurry, the girls would be a awkae, and he'd never get out. He went to the door and pulled it open, looking down, stunned at little Akki.
"Oh, gods! Come in here, you're going to get so sick!"
Slinging an arm around her shoulders, he looked at Liam, still trying to keep his voice down and murmured,
"I need some towels for her, then I'll put tea on for both of you."
He told Liam where the bathroom was and guided Akki to a chair, gently, fumbling for a name and, even, who she was at all.
"What is it, chibi? What on Earth has got you so upset?"

Akki stared at this man her brother loved so much.
"Jak's gone...and I cant find Po...he didnt come home either....."
Just then she spied Jak's hat still on the chair where he had dropped it.
With a cry she jumped up and picked it up her hands caressing the soft worn fabric.

Liam nodded to Suru and slunk towards the bathroom, stepping in an eerie silence. He bit his lip and glanced around as he pushed the door open, and didn't turn on the light as he narrowed his eyes to glance for linens. He found a couple and grabbed them, sighing as thoughts of Ophelia bombarded his mind.

"Hush, hush, chibi, it's all right, Po's probably still here with Cantique."
He nearly fell backwards when she jumped up, but pushed to his fee, carefully, smiling halfheartedly. The sight of te damned hat gave him a pang, but he ignored it.
"See, JAk's still around. He won't leave without that damned thing, you know he won't. And he won't leave without saying good bye."
He smiled, brokenly. He'd said goodbye to Suru, surely to gods he'd say goodbye to ohana.

Akki shook her head, her hands trembling.
"He's gone...I checked his room...the door was open. He left me a note...I dont understand!!!!"
Her voice ended with a wail as she hugged the hat close.

Liam returned with the towels, and bit his lip before clearing his throat to offer a bit of information. I...I know it might confuse you, considering I don't really know you and you don't know me, but... Liam started, pausing to bite his lip as he stood there with his eyes softly closed. He hasn't left. He's...Actually...On the roof of the bookstore, letting his mind run wild...he said, looking to the ground as he continued to half hold onto Jakkin's aura.

Suru opened his mouth to reply to Akki, but took a double-take back at Liam, and controlled the urge to run out of the house, straight to the bookstore and find Jak. But he didn't. He gave Liam a look that clearly said he expected an explanation, and, turning his attention back to Akki, reached out with a large, long hand and ruffled her hair, gently, trying hard to sound indifferent, but still comforting.
"See, chibi, he'd never leave without saying goodbye, not really."

Liam felt the look Suru gave him and swallowed hard. He looked to the other and when his eyes met Suru's his voice rang in Suru's mind. 'I'll explain as soon as Akki goes...I don't want to further boggle her...'

Akki shook her head sadly, confused about how Liam would know that but knowing her brother much better.
"If he's on the roof now...its too late...he wont be there..."

Liam looked down and nodded, deciding against trying to sway Akki to find her brother.

"It's worth a try, isn;t it, chibi?" he asked, nodding gently, more to Liam than to Akki.
"I can get your brother for you, if you'd liek, would that make you feel better?"

Liam nodded in agreement with Suru, but stayed quiet. He swallowed hard as his heart thundered in his chest, shifting in slight discomfort.

She sunk down into a chair, tear-filled eyes raised to look at Suru.
"Po told me what happened here...that...that you love him..."

Sur's eyes narrowed and he glanced down at Akki, saying, icily, voice thick with annoyance at the incident, still so raw and fresh a wound in his heart, being mentioned by a complete stranger to him,
"I was referrign to Po."
