AFAIK = As Far As I Know
SAO was a fun romp, though many found issue with a certain focus of the 2nd half. The second seasion should be coming in about 3 months, though I do not know when/if Netflix will pick it up. If you're okay w/ subtitles, I watch new anime through crunchyroll.com. It's legit and free. It's got ads for free users, but they're less intrusive than YouTube's or Hulu's.
Thanks, I'm okay now. Oh, a swollen uvula is quite unusual.

Ah, okay.
SAO's controversy . . . I assume the more than familial affection from Suguoha to Kiriguya (gods I butchered those names)? I heard that some were displeased with that. However, nothing became of it, and in truth it was a moment of real growth for him to apologize and her to accept he was not hers to have. That was real character development and should be applauded. Also, incest is not as demonized in Japanese culture as it is in the West, so those throwing fits should realize the cultural differences and grow up. At least, that is how I see it. It isn't their cousin wishing to date them . . . it is the characters.
I was surprised that Alfheim Online was part of season one . . . but both me and my oldest daughter love the show. I'll have to keep my eyes open for the next season. Do you know anything of the mythical third season of Code Geass?
As for the swelling, it is all but gone now. I'm pretty much back up to specs. What of you? Are you alright now? *hugs*

Yeah, that's what I was talking about.
I agree, I really didn't have a problem w/ it due to how they handled the situation. It wasn't fetishized like some super-otaku-leaning (as in, they kind all about gaggles of cute girls) anime, since that wasn't the point at all. That and Suguha naturally duffered that effect that happens when siblings(cousins) don't grow up together and are separated (a theory by some psychologist). I think a lot of people were bothered by it since so many people not into anime picked it up.
I'm really looking forward to the new season, which takes place in a somewhat western-themed Gun Gale Online.
No, I've not heard about Geass S3 at all. That must have been off my radar. I get my anime news from CrunchyRoll, so I generally won't know if they don't mention it.
Th's good to hear. Yes, I'm fine now, thanks. Though tired, I'll recover my sleep this weekend. *watching Gundam Wing*

Another possible expanation is aspects of GSA (Genetic Sexual Attraction). Regardless of the origin, I agree that it was not a big deal . . . but to those that didn't understand the relative views on other cultures, that would have been a shock. The problem with incest is the superimposing of the ego. When you see others having relationships, the first idea is to vicariously judge. "How would I handle that?" So instead of Sugu and Kiriguya, people thought of themselves with their sibling. To anybody not interested in their family in such a way it would seem quite odd. Thus the controversy that is culturally based.
I'm willing to give the new season a go- and judge it for what it is. Time will tell if I can get my hands on it soon. As for Geass, it has only been rumored for a while. I personally do not want to see a third season. The story is tidy and tied up. No need for more.
Yeah, the fever blister makes me feel a bit like Two-Face . . . it is so big! crying Still, it is just an annoyance that will heal within the next couple days. Sleep, my good friend. I'd rather you feel better and be well rested.

I've heard a little about GSA. There's another theory that kids who grow up around each other from brith to 5-7-ish will generally never be attracted to one another. Interesting developmental theories...
Yeah, I can see that. Mentally inserting one's self into a similar situation to figure out how they feel about it is a common tactic people use for understanding the world around them (though I personally find ego superimposition to be a little immature, but maybe naive is a better word).
I agree, S2 of Geass wrapped things up quite conclusively.
Oh, that sounds quite irritating. I'm glad that symptom will subside soon.

I have a somewhat more open viewpoint on relationships and sexuality than most. In my opinion, as long as all parties are agreed on the activity, capable of giving said permission, and none outside the relationship are given any significant form of harm, who am I to judge? There are aspects of relationships I cannot abide or understand but many enjoy fetishes that involve that. Just because I cannot get it, doesn't make it bad.

It's a seinen (targeted toward adult men, though the gender target difference between seinen and josei [targeted toward adult women] is negligible in many works).
It's a very quiet show, featuring pensive vignettes about the travels of a Mushi Master trying to help people. Mushi are mysterious primal life forms kind of like large micro-organisms. It's somewhat didactic but never heavy-handed about it. It's definitely not everybody's cup of tea, but it's just so different from most other anime.
Funimation has put up the entire first season at www.youtube.com/show/mushishi/videos (subbed only), and Crunchyroll just started airing Season 2. Despite what the first ~3 episodes of Season 1 may imply, Ginko does help more than just children.

Is that the 3D CG one they made a few years ago or the really old (60s/70s) one?
Sorry about the length of Era 4. Also, I tried to reference thing said in past eras a little bit more fully, since you might not remember.

I've kept all the eras thus far, and could reference them. cat_cool
As for GL, I never read the old series- but I do know there are a lot of feels that happen in that series. It didn't get the credit it deserved. Unfortunately, the series was cancelled because stores refused to carry merchandise for the show. There was still shelfwarming toys from the abysmal movie. cat_emo
