The black cloak was a new article of clothing. Something aw too familiar about it though. Kurai and Aki followed Kyojin as they made their exit from Konoha from the South Gate.
Kurai noticed something was bothering Kyojin but decided that it would be better not to push anything. The strands of rope that tied the three together was just now begining to form and were very loose... he wasn't about to disrupt the ties that had just been established.
Aki followed up from behind. She thought about the old man that she had learned about love from and thought deeply about the love that she lacked for her own brother and was determined to conqure it...

Shadow walked through the town bored. "Man there is not a whole lot to do!" He said to himself as he continued walking. He looked at stands and conciderd buying some weapons. But he didn't exactly have money to buy with. "I wonder if Karnage is out of the hostpital!" He said as he changed course for the training grounds.

Gihen took a few quick breaths before stretching his arms and looking around the village. He had to run 19 laps around the place, eh? He didn't seem to care. He had to be in shape to excel as a shinobi. He stopped stretching his arms and reached down to touch his toes for a couple seconds. He came back up and cracked his knuckles quickly. He stepped foward and dug his heels into the ground and prepared to run. He was called 'Dagger' by the pirates, so he should keep to that name. He began to count down from 5 in his head. When he hit 0 he set off srinting for his first lap, and then he would jog from there until he could sprint again. As he ran around the walls of the village, he looked into the forest. He couldn't imagine what was out there, so he tried to run as fast as he could to escape from it. The walls seemed to be a stone he couldn't tell what kind. He shrugged it off and continued with his lap, constantly sprinting throughout the first lap.

As Gihen stopped suddenly, back where he started, he put his hands on his knees and leaned over. Not so easy it seems.
"Man...Sensei, your homework is tough. Though, maybe we all need this..."
This thought wondered through his head as he rested for a little while. Finally, he shook his head and stretched his back.
"Thinking is not what I should be doing now. Physical training is what we all need. We are Academy Students, not shinobi yet. One day, we'll all become shinobi, but for now, we train."
He smiled and looked ahead of him. He had 18 laps to go. It isn't too bad since everyone else has 1 more than him, and he started before evryone else. Well, he kicked off of the ground and began to jog. His pace was slightly faster than a fast walk. He figured, at this pace, he'd be done hopefully by dark. He continued to jog , seeing his footprints in front of him and following them.

Suzume arrived at a jog to where Gihen had just launched off. 'he's good.' she thought to herself. She did a few quick stretches the bent forward and focused her energy on her breathing. in her head she repeated 'Pouvoir d'apres la mort, aidez moi. Vent du lune, cours avec moi. Pouvoir d'apres la mort, aidez moi. Vent du lune, cours avec moi.' Then she got back up and started to run. She wasn't that far behind Gihen as she ran but she knew he was techinically three laps ahead of her.

She continued to run and sped up. She caught up with Gihen and turned her head and smiled at him
"Congrats on passing."
She then sped up somemore and gained some space. She continued to run, as she felt her heart beating hard in her chest. She turned her head and saw the forest. She got a quick pain in her head and started coughing. 'don't stop, keep going!' she told herself. She kept running rubbing her forhead slightly.

Gihen cursed under his breath as he stopped again wo catch his breath. Only his second lap and he was tired. He had to get in shape, and fast. That is, if he wants to rise through the ranks. The last thing he needed was to think. He always thought too much. It was probably a habit. Maybe he should get into Shogi or something to create a new habit. Well, why stop now? Maybe thinking too much is a good trait for him. Either way, he still had 17 laps left. He kicked off of the ground again to end up having dirt splatter up onto his ankle. He ignored it and began jogging again. He still didn't have to energy to sprint again. He looked into the forest again to see if anything was there. He was probably paranoid now from it. He shuttered and continued on jogging.

Suzume arrived back at the start and kept going she couldn't see Gihen ahead of her, she wasn't surprised, 'he's fast' she though as she continued on. She held her head high as she continued to run.
' 18 more, come on suzume, hup hup hup!'

Suzume arrived at the starting line again. She slowed down but didn't stop. She walked for a few moments, clutching her sides. 'stupid cramps...!' she kept going, and going. 'ok, it isn't a walkin'-fest, get moving!' she started to jog for a stretch around the village then ran for the half left, arriving at the starting line panting.

'haaa...' she moaned as her cramp worsened. She slowed to a walk, and clutched her sides panting. She then straightened up and put her cramping side's arm over her head and pulled with her other hand, stretching out the cramp. She then jogged for 3/4s of the lap then ran for the rest.

Gihen jogged in place for a second as he looked around. One other student finally came out to run. At least he wasn't alone out here anymore. Especially since the forest still creeped him out. That damn forest! There was something about it that seemed off. Why though? This was the Village Hidden in te Leaf. Why would he be freaked out by the forest then? Probably because he was on the sea all the time with a ship. He was so used to it, that the land freaks him out before. He shook his head and released the thought fromnhis mind.
'You're on land now, get over it!' he thought.
He kicked off of the ground and strted to sprint this time. His energy was beginning to return to him so he felt he could finish this lap fairly quickly.

'ok, come on, come on!' she told herself as she passed the starting loine without stopping. she slowed down slightly and stretched her cramped side again, it was almost gone now. She then sped up and ran the rest of the lap, trying to keep her breathing as quiet as possible. 'I need to work on not being the loudest person in class' she told herself bitterly as she past the forest again. She glanced at it and wondered what resided in it's darkness. The thought sent chills down her spin so she sped up to get past it.

Suzume past the starting line and slowed to a jog, controlling her breathing. Her cramp was almost gone now, but she still stretched the cramped side, to make sure it wouldn't come back mid-lap. She then spotted Gihen a slight distance ahead of her, rounding the forest. She sped up and ran beside him for a few steps, he was going quite fast.
"Freaky forest, eh?" she said reading his expression and judging his determination to get far from the forest by running faster as a sign. She kept pace with him as she finsihed off yet another lap.

As she crossed the starting line she slowed to a jog again, trying to catch her breath. Her legs were starting to feel heavy but on the bright side her cramp was gone. She trudged on, gaining speed with every step. When she passed the forest again she gave it another glance, it was slightly addictive. This time she didn't shiver or get a pain in her head but she was sure there was something about that forest that was...odd. She continued on now at a run, to finish off her eight lap.

Suzume pass the start line and didn't slow down. She kept going her feet seeming to weigh more and more with every lap. 'come on. I need to prove to myself that i can do this' she thought darkly as she rounded the edge of the forest. She couldn't help but think what would live in a place like that? She also wondered if it would be a good experience for her to train in there...She closed her eyes for a few steps then sped up and opened them again. One more lap done...
