Cierra heard Serenus' outraged squeak and set aside her rags for a moment, going and fetching the upset elf another mixing bowl.
"Here's yous is Serenus, now yous cans bakes lots more cookies at a time!" Cierra had chosen an even bigger bowl than Serenus had before.

Frowning she takes the bowl slowly and silently says thank you. She was shy again and turning a bright red. Scurring off she repeats her process and make smore cookies still looking over her shoulder at Cierra.

"thank you Cierra and Red, yous have been very nice helping Endria elf make lemonade for masters" "Endria has noticed yous have not met the head elf yet, but dont worry she will be here in a while, Alicia head elf is very nice elf!She told Endria what to do when she was new elf too,but as Alicia elf gets to kitchens Endria can be of company to yous if yous would like"Endria happy of the new friends she had just made, goes singing la..la..la mopping the floors thinking what can she help with to do for dinner.

Cierra glanced at the new elf curiously from time to time as she went about her work. She finished the ovens and looked about for more work to do. Finding nothing in need of cleaning at the moment, Cierra got out mixing bowls and cooking utensils, so she could make petit fours (frosted little tea cakes) for the teachers when they called down to the elves for their nightly tea.

Serenus never spoke out, never. It scared her to talk to others. Her vpice broke here and there but it could be made out. "Okay Red, Serenus could use the help..."

Cierra decided to fill each petit four with a layer of cream, and so she baked them in halves, then filled them and placed the other half of the cake on top. She frosted the cakes in the house colors, so they looked like little wrapped presents with bows on top. Each house's non metallic color was the base and the metallic colored frosting was used for the ribbon and bow. She placed several of each color cake on each of the teachers platters, about 40 per plate. 10 of each color, just in case the staff had guests for tea.

(Hey, I might not be on for a few days... it looks like my sister might have cancer... so yeah... if things go wrong, it might be a while.)

Serenus finished making all the cookies and stacked them onto a tray in a tower. She decorated the plate with more chocolate, square peices and many others for the students to pick off of.

Cierra noticed the head elf come nearer to her for a moment and stop to watch her work. She turned and bowed respectfully. "Hellos Missus Head of House Elfs. I is Cierra. I is new here to Hogwarts's kitchens but I is working very hard." With a last delighted squeak, Cierra finished off the trays of petit fours and looked around for other work to do.

After her tray of cookies left Serenus collected her dirty dishes and took them to the sink. Carefully she washed them so each plate was pearly white and clean. She placed each item gentlely to dry, trying not to drop one.

(my prayers go out to you and your sister) jackie enjoyed watching the scene unfolding around her as she slowly mixed some batter. it was always fun to go people watching (or in this case, elf watching), especially when the creature you're observing doesn't notice you observing them.

Feeling quite refreshed after a short rest, Cierra pushes her chair back into the main kitchens and gets out the ingredients for porridge. She starts to prepare it, thinking to herself that on such a dreary morning as this, the thick breakfast cereal will do her masters and mistresses well. When the mixture is done, and piping hot, she mixes in honey to sweeten it.

After the dishes she looked around for more work. Serenus saw Cierra making breakfast for the students. Slowly she snuck up to her and watch over her shoulder. Making a slight cough clearing her throat. "Would Ceirra like Serenus to help?"
