But in her case, it's not so much that she feels she'll protect Ai as it is that she feels like Ai's her BEST FWEND EVAH.

Cypress doesn't hate him!
On the other hand, she grew up with freaking Bambi for an older brother. If she showed the least bit of contempt for another living creature in his presence, he'd be... disappointed in her.
It's been scientifically proven Tiercel's frown alone will kill six kittens and a nest of hummingbirds. I can't wait to drag bring him into the RP.

I stopped being surprised after that whole Nishijima thing. gonk *still depressed* The mangaka has established they're totally okay with killing anyone and everyone off if it suits their mood. Besides, Yukiteru obviously flew off the slippery slope, sometime after he was kidnapped by Yuno, was rescued by team Normal-Well-Adjusted and never mentioned the incident again.
Why do they keep trying to pawn Yuno off as a likable, relatable protagonist!?
AND WHY DO I KEEP FALLING FOR IT!?

Because she is a protagonist! her alignment is just Chaotic Good, you know the reason she is the way she is, it makes sense if she is from the future, being the winner of the survival game, because Yukiteru would have been the first eliminated, instead of the 3rd. However, she chose to go back and fix the wrong that was made... I'm just curious how it will end... seeing how only the 1st, 2nd, and the 8th are left... not exactly the group i thought would be there... I wanted the 9th to be in the mix but she got blown up!

Noooo, I'm pretty sure Yuno's not Chaotic Good. If anything, she'd be Chaotic Neutral, since "Good" implies she has a sense of morality. The only rule governing Yuno's actions is MUST BENEFIT YUKITERU. If Yukiteru wanted to murder children instead of save the world, she'd be totally a-okay with it.
Sure Yuno would probably work to create a better world if Yukiteru weren't involved and she wasn't a yandere, but when it comes down to it, her psychotic devotion to Yukiteru outweighs any sense of justice she may have.
I don't even get the feeling Yuno loves Yukiteru because he's good, though it may have started out that way, but it's really more like Yuno's good because she loves Yukiteru.
Since the Eighth pretty much embodies all that is pure and kind, I'm wondering if they're going to play that up when she faces off with Yukiteru and Yuno, like the darkness Yukiteru became versus the honest ideals he started out with... It's hard to tell whether the manga will take a very dark turn, letting the crazies win, or somehow show them up and pull the ending more towards typical shonen-good-triumphs-over-evil route.

I'm betting that Hinata causes a mental break down of Yukiteru... just saying, she was his first true friend... and he shot her because of his misconceptions given by Yuno...
Don't get me wrong, I like Yuno, and I think that she is given the short end of the stick because everyone thinks she is crazy... But think about what she had been through... She killed her parents, and herself in order to help Yukiteru... I would have just popped a cap in my own head...
I'm not saying that her insanity is justified, its just that it is understandable...
