The girl smiled encouragingly again, and looked down at the oddly blue eyes in a cheetah face. "In the end you get used to it though. Really. It happens to all girls. Guys get lucky though, and don't have to go through it." She made a small face, though with her horrible mouth she didn't have to do much to make it look worse. And her stomach growled again.

Colche smiled weakly. Monthly was soon? Blinking a few times she wans't sure if she wanted this to happen monthly! "Hungry?" she tilts her head finally taking her mind of ehr own aches and pains and realsiing that Anne had the munchies.
Crawling out from under the table she stands slowly with a little pout. Her tummy was really hurting. he wasn't hungry but clealery Anne was, she picks up her own favourite desert and slips back under the table holding it out to the older female"chocolate cake" she smiles. "thankyous."

Angharad blinked, and then looked up at Colche warmly. "Hey... thanks. You know, you really have the right idea here. Chocolate is always supposed to cure this kind of tummyache." Cake, yes, cake would stop that smell of blood from getting to her. But wait, wouldn't this have butter in it? And other things.... she stared at the cake slightly disconcerted. It wasn't like she could check the packet. Not like she hadn't already broken that rule, a snide voice said in the back of her head.
So she ate the cake, sitting under a table in the middle of a cafeteria, sharing the space with a girl who was a cheetah. Something might have struck her as intensely surreal, a long time ago, but not now.

[New RP!] Less than a week on the island, and Sid was already the victim of a massive hangover. So much for pacing. He had the revelation on what really went on there to blame. Anybody would be entitled to getting wasted after that. It was fairly late in the morning when he stagged to the cafeteria, his clothes were rumpled from sleeping in them, his hair was more of a mess than usual, and his sunglasses weren't helping much with keeping the sunlight from searing his eyes.
He went for the coffee first and, only as an afterthought, grabbed a bagel to go with it. Thanks to the cane, Sid saw no choice but to carry the bagel in his mouth to the nearest table.

Newt had been building again, using up most of what he had found and scrapped together. That meant he needed to go hunting for supplies once again. He supposed he could ask the labs for things, but he wasn't sure what he wanted to begin with. He had his toolbox, he had his reference novels, he had his general knowladge of this that and the other he had picked up from said reference novels and he had a mess of useless, pointless ideas that had been keeping the now ex-janitor busy. He came leaping from the kitchen pushing a mop-cart filled with collenders, pans, spoons and other miscellanious supplies he figured the currently off duty kitchen staff wouldn't miss. At least he hoped they wouldn't miss it. On his way through the swinging door, though, he managed to trip over the cart as it made him fumble in mid-hop and he tumbled to the ground with a frantic, startled cry. The pots and other pilfered goods all clattered noisily around him as the cart hit the wall and toppled over as well.

The noise bored right into Sid's fragile senses, making him bite down. He might have managed to avoid splashing himself with hot coffee, but he was left with only one bite of bagel while the rest fell to the floor and slid under a table.
He followed the progress of a straggling pie pan across the cafeteria before he traced it back to the source near the doors. As he swallowed what little he had in his mouth he decided he couldn't just ignore what had happened. Sid took a large sip of coffee before he deposited it on the table the bagel was under. Heaving a sigh, he hobbled over to be nice and help the poor clumsy fellow. Once he was close enough to get a good look at Newt he slid his glasses off, just to be sure the green tint wasn't from the lenses. The other stuff wrong with him sure as hell wasn't.
"Uh..." It took him a moment to find his voice. "Need a hand?"
He immediately regretted offering, but he'd have to get used to things sometime... like diving into an incredibly cold pool.

The frog man jumped at the sound of another person, lifting his head to stare wide-eyed and amphibiously shocked. "Ah-!" An old man- at least older- who seemed completely human. Had they met other islanders? Was he about to be subjected to yet another array of embarassments and awkwardness? His throat flaired slightly, ready to emit a nervious croak, but he managed to catch himself and swallow it befor he could embarass himself in front of the human. "I... ah...!"

Sid couldn't keep himself from turning his head slightly, even if Newt managed to catch himself. He looked back when the moment passed, still trying his damnest to act unfazed. Get used to it, right.
"It's cool," he said, holding up his free hand placatingly. He was reassuring himself just as much as the frog guy.

"I... I'm bruh-bringing them b-back when I'm fuh-fuh-finished!" The frogman stammered, scrambling up into his crouch to snatch up the scattered miscellaneous. "I swuh- I swuh-swoo... I swear!"

"I wasn't gonna say anything, if that's what you're thinking." Sid said. "Relax." He nudged a pie pan over with the toe of his sandal. It beat risking bending down, much less the contact required for handing it over.

Newt glanced over to the pan as it was slid over towards him, his enlarged eyes trembling slightly as he quickly thought. He snatched it up, filling his arms with what he could reach befor froggishly hopping to the next handfull of items, "I'm suh-suh-sorry I duh-disturbed your lunch..." He mumbled timidly.

"More like brunch," he said, checking his watch just to be sure. His coffee was sliding from hot to lukewarm in his absence, but for the time being all the pains associated with a hangover felt normal and comforting. It took him a few seconds to reach that conclusion despite the headache. "It's alright. Probably a bad time to be eating just yet, anyway."

The frog man resituated the parifanalia in his cart, his head held down as though embarassed of even being looked at, let alone talked to. He was getting better, though, remembering the courage he had taken to get the necklace still tucked in the pocket of his jumper, "I... ah... H-haven't... s-suh-seen you buh-befor..."

"Yeah, I'm new," he said, forcing a smile as he shifted more of his weight to his cane. "Which- all things considered- is obvious, I guess. Name's Sid."
The more he watched Newt work, the more the question of what he was going to end up nagged him. His initial decision to be helpful was forgotten in the meantime, but then nudging the pan over had to count for something.

Newt's throat flickered and inflated finally in an allout croak and he coughed and swallowed, looking embarassed as he extended a trembling, slippery webbed hand. "I'm ah... Nuh-nuh-newton.... er... Nuh-newt."
