fair enough on that one. thought in EQ2 it's the bard that's underappreciated. they aren't the best damage...but thier songs make the real damagers like 5x better. and they battle rez, and they increase mana, defensive abilities,. ect....but people joke about them because they come in on the low end of a parser.

That's how GW rangers are. No one wants to be one or take one. I'm a damn good ranger though. If I wasn't so good at pulling, people would be getting maimed. And my wolf maims most everything.

Yay, we all take the road less traveled, how fun!
On WoW, I'm a Draenei Shaman. Which is actually pretty (understatement) common. But most Shaman's specialize in healing, focusing their stats on their elements. I focus all my stats on my strength. So I cause a lot of damage.
But no one wants a shaman around that doesn't heal.

Rangers in EQ2, along with Assassins can do some SERIOUS damage.
like example highest ranger damage attack, at the highest level of effectiveness, it's base damage is 15k. that's before adding in the characters str, or any buffs or anything.

I still don't understand why you all play something you have to pay for again and again when you've already bought it once.
That aside...
Rangers used to own everything in GW. But we got nerfed because we were more or less pinning down people then maiming them with status, multiple target high damage, and high kill shots. emo

because there's probably 1000000 more things to do in EQ2, from tradeskilling to raids and quests and housing and such. you pay so that they keep making bigger and better stuff.
I bet my eq2 paladin, or warlock, would destroy your ranger by snapping my fingers. ;p

Plenty of things to do in GW. I still haven't finished all the crap. And I'm still not paying for something I've already bought once.
I got nerfed! It's not my fault. I'm an interrupt ranger anyway. My job is to cancel the hell out of all your skills, pin you down, poison you/cause bleeding and let my wolf eat you in the meantime.
Or go trapper and maim your a** the moment you move. Loooove traps.
MMOs aside...time for bed, I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow to get shocked. eek I hate nerve testing...at least I took the day off from work.

Not the same to me.
I am renting the internet from the company I do not own. And in the long run, internet is essential these days.
However, I own the game I bought, I am not renting it.
That's how I see it different. I don't have to pay every month to play any of my games once I've already dropped $30-60 bucks on it to own it.

That's what I thought at one time too, until I played. To be honest, I probably spend 60$ a month on junk, all I have to do is cut that down to 45 and boom, I can afford it. And it's no dent out of my paycheck.
It's not expensive to play, and if you love it, then who cares?

That's true. I just don't love MMOs to that degree I suppose. I haven't played GW in weeks, and don't feel obligated to because I'm not wasting my money by indeed not playing it.
On another note:
OH MY FREAKING GOD!!! gonk
EMG test is not fun! I could deal with the electrical shocks, okay that's just annoying and leaves little red marks on my arm.
But them they bring out the NEEDLES! Now I've had a lot of IVs and needles I'm used to. But they stuck them in my muscles and more or less gouged around to get readings!
So now, my arm is all red, marked up, throbbing, and I already have bruises!
Someone hold me? crying

Ah well, most MMO players will simply take their breaks at the end of their play period. Then when they wanna pick it up again, go grab some time. (In the form of a card I believe, I don't actually own it myself...comps not good enough)
Yeesh, I'm not afraid of needles but I don't think I'd enjoy that either.
At least they didn't need to see your insides...I forget what the procedure is called but they stick an um...hose up your a**s and fill ya full of cold water. Then they have a habit of pulling the hose out with out telling you, and suddenly you really have to use the bathroom.
And I can't hold you.....being electronic and all, but I can send my luvs. heart

My grandmother had that ahem...other...one done. From what I hear, not pleasant at all. That's what they do when they can't stick things through your throat to look down in your stomach...they use the backdoor.
