Aislin leaned into his hand, sighing, and seeming to heavily relax. Her voice cracked as she spook, "I-t was a dr-eam then..."
Gab lifted his head to look at Barick worriedly. "What was, Lin?"
"Going back to that horrible place... Going back to the Academy, was a dream?" Her voice pleaded with him to confirm that.

Barick looked away from her eyes. It would have been so much better if it had all just been a dream, but it wasn't. "I'm sorry Aislin... It wasn't a dream. But it's over now, you don't have to worry." Barick told her.

Aislin looked up at him her face twisting int terror, "Get away from me... Get away from me!" She screamed and started crying, "Get away before I hurt you again!!!"
Gab whimpered and hunched down as much as he could.

Aislin broke down crying into his chest. The memories were too vivid. She could almost still feel his blood on her hands, the coppery taste of it in her mouth from the nasty grin she'd had plastered on her face. She'd stopped being like that long ago. She hadn't had the stomach for it since she'd been imprisoned for so long.
Gab whimpered and hugged her hip, feeling it.
