Yeah, I agree. I was thinking that while I was fighting you. What I didn't think was a proper way around it.
You still countered everything, though.

Damon, there is a way you fight that isn't very...fun to read, I'm going to go ahead and say. Your roleplaying habit when it comes to combat is reminiscent of how a lot of people at the Battle Arena and other miscellaneous amateur combat roleplays roleplayed.
I don't want to offend you with this. Just, I hoped you looked back at the comments we judges gave you during the previous GTBs and learned from them.

I could say the exact same thing for you, Vin. With a lot more backing having fought you four times and from just reading most of your fights in general during Heaven or Hell.
You're not exactly an exciting opponent.
But here is where you and I seem to have a similarity, at least from what I've noticed. How you fight depends upon how much into character you can get and how much blood and sweat your opponent is willing to put into it. Otherwise you simply become overly technical and bland.
Happens to me a bit. There have been more than a few that have had a problem with me, no doubt. =/ Like Tykat in the last GTB who couldn't seem to get over the fight that I wanted to use powers against her walking booby trap. Or Lolipop/Kamiha Sayuri, who I just seem to have a problem with no matter WHAT route I want to go.
I rarely had this problem during HoH, except against the few that just really wanted to win badly. Because I'm quite stubborn and don't think I should lose just because somebody else wants to win. ect ect.

Because I'm quite stubborn and don't think I should lose just because somebody else wants to win. ect ect. Stubborn. There's the problem. Lay down on that. I mean, it's like game design. I can't teach you how to be good at it because otherwise, everyone will be good at it. Just test certain styles, characters, and increase your storytelling and you should be fine. I stress people to improve their writing and get criticism on it at specialized sites and forum. I'm not perfect, either, so I went out and found out what I was doing wrong.

I'm only stubborn when the other guy is stubborn. Then things get heated and annoying, and typically I'm the first to walk away from a situation like that. I've never had a problem trying to tell a tell a story, and it's exploring different styles that gets me into the most trouble.

I know I'm not stubborn.
I'm just trying to fight and woo the judges.
