Once everyone was at the meeting point, they continued onward to Route 16. A beautiful river flowed next to them, twinkling with the reflection of the stars in the night sky. A few Basculin jumped out of the water and vanished back into the depths. The route followed up a slope into a bunch of grassy areas.Maddy pulled up a list of Pokémon available in the area on her TADS and sent a copy to all of her companions. "If anyone wants to go off and fight a Pokémon, feel free. You can catch the Pokémon you fight if you please, but keep in mind we're also heading to Route 15 after this." She reached to her belt and plucked off her Sliggoo's Poké Ball. "Personally, I'm just interested in some training." [Reserve your post if you're fighting/catching a Pokémon.]Maddy sent out her Sliggoo as a Foongus stumbled out of some nearby bushes. "Ice Beam!" Maddy commanded, starting the battle. Sliggoo nodded and shot a beam of ice at her opponent, hitting it hard. Foongus retaliated with Mega Drain, trying to restore some of it's lost health. Maddy shook her head. Such a feeble Pokémon wouldn't be able to survive another Ice Beam. "Same attack as before, Sliggoo!" The little dragon nodded once more and shot another beam of ice at the fungus-like Pokémon, finishing the battle.

Allen chuckled and threw his hands up in defense, "To each their own, it's just that, they're so... Obvious. Too obvious." He shrugged. He peaked into the sky to see his Volcarona still flying around above the city.
As they moved out onto the route. Allen bit on the inside of his cheek, looking around into the grass and eventually to the Pokemon list Maddy sent to the TADS. Nothing really appealed to him.

*I go through some tall grass and eventually I see a Klefki* Me: You look interesting, Swinub, go! *My little icy floor mop appears* *Klefki immediately lets out a grinding metalic sound, lowering Swinub's special defense* Me: Mud Bomb! *A small bit of mud flies at the key ring, doing good damage* *Klefki then Torments Swinub* Me: Fine, Mud shot! *A small bit of mud slams into Klefki* Me: PokéBall go! Wiggle... Wiggle... Wiggle... DING! Me: You're an interesting one.

Caleb walked with the rest of the group until he received the list of pokemon in the area on his TADs.
"Pawniard...or Mightyena might come in handy...." he said quietly. That is if he could find one of them. He also noted Maddy mentioning Route 15 as well. He wasn't entirely sure what pokemon were on that route. Perhaps there was something better for him to catch. Something stronger. These thoughts distracted him as he walked, and kept him from seeing where he was going or what was in front of him. He suddenly came face to face with a Pumpkaboo. Literally.
He sighed and shook his head. Definitely not one of the pokemon he was wanting. He sent out his Fennekin. "Might as well get some training in..." he muttered. "Use Sunny Day!" Caleb ordered.
The Fennekin sent a beam of white light into the sky, causing the sun to appear much brighter. The Pumpkaboo looked up before looking at Caleb's Fennekin. It formed a ball of dark energy with black static around it before firing the ball at the Fennekin.
"Dammit..." Caleb said, digging in his bag for a potion. While he rummaged through his bag, a spare poke ball fell out and bounced on the ground before stoppping. Intrigued by this, the Pumpkaboo moved closer. It observed the ball before pressing the button and being engulfed in red light. It disappeared into the ball, the poke ball locking as the Pumpkaboo was caught.
Caleb spun around, seeing the poke ball on the ground and the Pumpkaboo nowhere to be seen.
He was definitely not pleased.

A Pumpkaboo leapt out of the tall grass and attacked Yamato with a Will-o-wisp. He sent out Po, the Pidgey to defend himself. "Po, use Gust to bounce those fireball back" Po flapped his wings, creating a strong wind and shot the Will-o-wisp back to the Pumpkin Pokémon. It dodged to a side, then shot out a small seed at the Pidgey. The seed grew rapidly and warped around the bird. Po fell down to the ground since he couldn't flap his wings. "Return, Po. Go, Char" The Charmander stepped into the battlefield, glancing at his trainer. "Yeah, just do whatever you want. It's not like you will listen to me anyway." The Charmander grinned, then blew out a Flamethrower. The fire covered the Pumpkaboo and burned it. After Char had finished the attack, lying on the ground was a fainted Pumpkaboo. Yamato returned his Pokémon and joined the others.

Once everyone had fought and/or captured a Pokémon, they continued onto Route 15. They followed the river until another one appeared on their other side and they eventually came to a fork in the path, each path leading them over a bridge traversing one of the rivers.Maddy brought up a list of Pokémon available here as well. "Dendemille is on the eastern path, so this is our last chance to fight or catch a Pokémon." She plucked another Poké Ball off her belt, this one containing her Fletchinder. "Again, I'm only interested in training, but feel free to catch a Pokémon here if you didn't catch one already." [Again, reserve a post. If you've caught a Pokémon already this RP, you cannot catch another one unless you've magically convinced me to give you a White Flute. Feel free to fight one still, though.]Maddy released her Fletchinder as a Murkrow flew down out of the sky. The black bird-like Pokémon rushed at Fletchinder and buffeted the fire bird with one of it's wings. "Steel Wing!" Fletchinder's wings shone with a metallic sheen as it flew at Murkrow and clothes-lined it. Murkrow squawked angrily and countered with Aerial Ace, hitting Fletchinder with a blindingly fast motion. "Flamethrower!" A burst of flame rained down over Murkrow, dealing heavy damage and burning it. It attacked with a second, more feeble Aerial Ace and then succumbed to it's burn. Maddy recalled Fletchinder and waited for the others to finish their battles.

Caleb grumbled as he trudged along after the others while Maddy mentioned that they had one more opportunity to catch a pokemon. Well the others did at least. After it had settled into his mind that he had caught a pokemon, he was a bit agitated by it. Of all the ones he could've caught...
Then came his encounter for this route.
He yelled in frustration when he saw the Pawniard tilting it's head in front of him.
"I...I just..." he rubbed his face before sending out his Chinchou. "Use Bubblebeam!" he ordered, clearing sounding angry. The Chinchou looked at him curiously, but did as she was told. She released a stream of blue bubbles at the Pawniard. The steel type showed its displeasure with a Metal Claw.
"Discharge...." Caleb grumbled. Chinchou's body became surrounded in yellow sparks of electricity before it fired multiple bolts of yellow electricity from its body at the Pawniard. After the weakened pokemon collapsed, Caleb recalled his Chinchou and walked off.

Walking through the end of Route 15 just before entering through the gate to Dendemille Town. He gulped down a breath and averted his eyes toward the ruins of a broken down hotel he always remembered being too chicken to go near as a child. He gave a small sigh, and started to look back to the gate when his eyes caught a glimpse of light reflecting bright off something. He stopped in his tracks and squinted. His eyes followed the light speck down into the grass. He moved closer and closer toward the grass, taking cautious steps. Just as he was about to take his first step into the grass the... whatever it was, ducked down below the line of sight through the grass. there was a short rustling and a little black, silver and red Pokemon leapt out, ready to strike.
Allen ducked to the side and rolled away, the little Pokemon spun around once and jabbed it's little knife-like claws forward. Feisty little thing. He tossed a ball into the air, "Ecrelys, let's show this Pawniard some real claws!" The Kabutops hit the ground and shrieked. The Pawniard actually jumped and shifted back a little, though it did stand it's ground. It brought a chuckle from the trainer. "Well, Waterfall." Allen said, Ecrelys charged forward, mimicking the way he'd climb a Waterfall, and ran right across the wild Pokemon. The Pawniard, gave probably one of the cutest cries Allen had heard and started slashing around wildly.
It managed to scrape across Ecrelys' exterior a few times before running out of energy and needing to take a breather. Allen shook his head and called for a Rock Slide. The Kabutops nodded, dashing backwards to leap over and behind a few smaller rocks, he stuck his claws into the ground and swung his legs forward to kick the rocks high int othe air to topple down over the small opponent. The Pawniard retorted by slowly running one of it's bladed arms with another, producing a horrid sound to weaken the defenses of Ecrelys. Allen shuddered and had to cover his ears to help defend himself against the horrid sound. Allen pulled a ball from his bag and tossed it.
When the sound disappeared, he and Ecrelys shared a sigh of relief. ''wriggle,, ''wriggle,, ''wriggle,, .......Ding! The Pawniard had been caught by the Great Ball.
Allen gave a chuckle, "The little guy's gonna be a handful." He turned to walk back to the group.

Once everybody was finished battling, they continued on to Dendemille. The town was quite small, with it's only main feature being a giant windmill built at it's highest point.
"I wonder what kind of research Sycamore is doing out here..." Maddy muttered to herself as she wandered the town with her friends. They came up to a bridge that crossed over to the area of the town built onto the hill with the windmill. Sycamore was sitting on the rail of the bridge, two of his Aides accompanying him. Maddy glanced around to make sure Team Flare was nowhere to be seen before approaching. "I'm glad to see you all made it safe." Sycamore said, upon Team Aqua's approach. Maddy shrugged. "We were tailed by a few Team Flare grunts back in Lumiose, but they didn't try anything." The man frowned. "Lysandre is more paranoid than he'd have you think. Contacting you via the Holo Caster was probably risky, but I'm positive he already knows anything I may tell you." He crossed his arms, seeming a little worried. "Ever since you took back the Poké Ball Factory, he's kind of disappeared. The only place I see his men is in Lumiose, but other than that there's no trace of Team Flare." He sighed. "That man is hidden away somewhere, possibly looking for something pertaining to the Legendary Pokémon, and I have no idea where." Maddy crossed her arms as well, pondering a few things. "He's certainly good at staying one step ahead. Several, in this case." Sycamore turned to his Aides and nodded to them. He then turned back to Team Aqua. "I have a small house rented while I'm staying here. Let's go back there and talk in private." With that, he got up and walked away with his two assistants. Maddy sighed. "You heard the man." She followed.

Caleb glanced around the town as they arrived. With not much to see, it wasn't long before he was back on the task at hand. He stuck with the small group as they wandered around. He looked out over the bridge bridge at the city, his Fennekin peering over his shoulder with him.
He waited as Maddy approached Sycamore once they spotted him, slowly joining them as well. Once again he was silent as the Aqua leader had her discussion with the Professor. Talking about Lysandre and once again legendary pokemon.
Once they were done, Caleb rubbed the back of his head and followed as well.

They were led by Sycamore to his house and ushered inside. Piles of paper and books littered the whole place. It seemed being a professor was quite a messy job.
"Make yourselves at home." He told them, leading them to the living room. There was no TV or anything, just a couple couches and a coffee table covered with a giant map of Kalos and a few other stray sheets of paper. "Feel free to just shove anything that's in your way off to the side." He left to go fetch something in another room. Maddy situated herself in a corner where she could view all exits out of the room. She felt safer that way and with Team Flare spying on them, she couldn't be too careful. Professor Sycamore returned a few moments later, two rather heavy-looking books in his grasp. "As you all are probably aware by now, Kalos was once at war. It was ended when a man created a terrible weapon and used it to destroy both sides participating in the war." He threw one of the books down in front of him. The cover was old and worn. The only words that could be made out on it were "Kalos" and "History". "The whereabouts of this weapon is currently unknown, but I believe it may be the weapon Lysandre is speaking of." Maddy frowned. "If he has access to a weapon that was powerful enough to end a war all on it's own, why does he need to pursue the Legendary Pokémon?" Sycamore frowned. "I'm not quite sure." He threw the other book down in front of them. It was so old and tattered that the title was impossible to read. Some of the pages were torn and hanging out. "I believe the two Legendary Pokémon Lysandre is concerned with are Xerneas and Yveltal." Maddy bit her lip. "A pair, just like Kyogre and Groudon?" "They are opposites, just like those two." Sycamore explained. "The first Pokémon, Xerneas, has the power to grant eternal life. The second, Yveltal, has the power to take it." "Eternal life..." Maddy nodded. "I could see why he's going for Xerneas." She then frowned. "I could also see why he'd be going for Yveltal as well."
