aesthetics question in Game Design
I've got a system programmed where I get Points to Purchase Affinities toward ideas, like Good, Evil, Honesty, and Deception. They are kind of like character points - you buy them and then your point total goes down...
I've got two displays,
one shows the total points you've received (kind of like total experience points)
the other shows the points you have left after spending some, or all of them.
Right now I'm calling them Base Points and Points Left but could really go for something that doesn't sound so lame. I mean, when I see "base points" I think "Base Jump", and when I see "points left" I'm thinking about a direction.

For points left you could use "current points" Noire. Not really -amazingly- creative, but it gets the message across.
I'm still working on the base points... >.>
