-Dessynea- Skaeryll -Dessynea- My philosophy class brought in a guest speaker today and the whole purpose was for us to openly mock him. It was cruel and ridiculous and I hated it. The guy would make points and students would counteract them but would twist his words so they weren't what he said. And our teacher would give them a thumbs up. And our teacher was openly laughing while this guy was talking.
Words cannot describe how furious I was while this was going on. What the ******** class="clear"> Yeah basically. And I called Zach and ranted for a good ten minutes as soon as I walked out of the room. Zach asked why my teacher would do that and my answer is that my teacher is an a**. How does s/he have a job teaching?

My teacher is well-liked.

My teacher is well-liked. Perhaps it was staged? It is philosophy right? Maybe it was a way to look at how some of the students acted?

Maybe, but I don't think so given what I know about the professor.

More class then work. Then alone time with Zach at my house. But not that kind of alone time. More like finishing the sixth season of House alone time.

Pep rallies just make me miserable. The only decent thing there is when the marching band plays.
At least I'm going to a concert today.

Back when my mom went to school they were allowed to leave early instead of go to the rally. Now they make us stay because nobody was going.

I bet anything, tomorrow, you guys will look at how some people will easily go with instructions to ridicule people they don't know.
Why didn't any of them question what they were doing? Why did (it seems) so many of them enjoy mocking a guest speaker? Why didn't the people, (like you) say anything during the class or ask how the hell it was supposed to help?
Pretty sure this exorcise was a trick.
If it isn't, make it one tomorrow. Ask her/him how that contributed to learning about philosophy. Just, ask questions about it, you know?
