I was always interesting in writing about the Anthropology and Sociology fiction of a society made of many superpowers individuals (instead of super power governments), and how life will be much different with people walking around with the power to destroy or save a civilization. Some would say that Gaia would seize to exist due to someone doing some vengeance plot, and others say it would be a stalemate because there would always be someone to come along and balance acts, whether they're good or evil. So then, governments may be formed by simply who has more of these super power individuals, right?
I think this may have been answered by RIFTS and GURPS.

By the power vested in me - We've now got a ******** RP government.
You have a criminal organization/mafia or whatever. They have a police department. You fight.
That's it. It's not difficult.

It's basically Gaia except a lot less anime and more neon lights.

I don't consider a government to be farfetched.
No more so than a police department.
It's just a question of HOW the government works - is there a country, are they city states, does it even really matter in a world like Gaia?
I think the chances are, you can have any sort of government you want in place, and jurisdiction is going to matter little with how Gaia operates.

If I trusted anyone to be interested in the 'fun factor' for myself in such a scenario, I might be enticed into playing along.
Unfortunately I haven't found too many people like that.

Man, I'm too hopeful for stuff sometimes. I'm the guy who always reaches for the stars, but end up getting disappointed with air instead. Then again, I should have known Ebag would find a way around it eventually.

Calling it a "guild attack" doesn't mean it's done without a good reason. But enough, I don't want to sound like I'm trying to bring "the old days" argument back into our midsts. Forget I said anything.

Well, regardless, I feel disappointed and need to take a break, anyway. I got to think about what happened today and somehow renew my faith in roleplaying on a large scale.
